Lipedema is a chronic,
Painful,
Loose,
Connective tissue disorder,
Mostly affecting women.
It can cause pain and discomfort to your physical body,
As well as impact you psychologically and emotionally.
This meditation is being offered to support both your body and your mind.
Let's get comfortable,
Either sitting or laying down.
Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze,
And take a deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.
Let's do this two more times.
Two more deep breaths in through your nose and out your mouth,
And then return to the natural rhythm of your breath.
With each breath,
Allow your body to soften,
Your mind to quiet,
And your heart to open.
Thank yourself for showing up today,
For committing to spending time supporting your body.
Let's start by focusing on your body as a whole.
Scan your body,
And take notice of any pain or discomfort you are experiencing at this moment.
We are going to breathe into this part of your body,
To release any tension or tightness,
Reduce the discomfort,
Even just a little.
If you have no pain,
Just focus on your whole body.
As we take in a deep breath,
Bring in calming,
Peaceful,
Safe energy.
And on the out breath,
Notice the discomfort,
Acknowledge it,
Release it,
Saying in your mind,
I don't need this anymore.
Continue for the next few breaths to bring in calm,
Peaceful,
And safe energy,
And release any tension or discomfort.
We are going to focus now on the areas in your body affected by Lipoedema.
Picture thick pink strands of collagen fibres,
Thin dark lines of elastic fibres,
And delicate branching networks of reticular fibres.
These are all embedded in a gel-like matrix.
Thick pink,
Thin dark,
And delicate branches,
All stuck in a gel.
We are going to breathe a cool,
Healing breath over these fibres,
To help calm them down,
Reduce their size,
Reduce inflammation,
Pain,
And swelling.
Watch the fibres shrink in size,
See them cool,
Relax,
And settle.
On the in breath,
Bring in cooling,
Blue healing,
Send it to your body,
To your legs,
Thighs,
Hips,
Buttock,
Arms,
And anywhere else that feels right.
Keep bringing it in,
Until it fills these parts of your body,
And starts to overflow,
Out through your feet and your hands.
See the fibres reduce in size,
Release any pain and redness,
And settle back to functioning at prime health.
And on the out breath,
We are going to release any stuckness,
Stagnation,
Or blackness.
Release any emotions attached to these fibres,
Any emotion being held by your body around this condition.
Breathe out any anger,
Frustration,
Depression,
Anxiety,
Resistance,
Ancestral trauma,
Any shame,
Self-loathing,
Grief.
Release any need to carry the weight of the world,
Or any loss of boundaries.
Release the embarrassment,
The discomfort,
Pain,
Any feelings around self-image,
Weight,
Size,
Mobility,
Lack of motivation,
And feelings of giving up.
You don't need to hold these feelings,
Emotions,
And beliefs anymore.
For the next few moments,
Bring in the cool,
Blue,
Healing energy.
Fill your whole body,
And release any stagnation,
Or emotions your body is ready to release.
We are now going to break down enlarged fat cells.
Release excess collagen deposits and fibrosis,
And settle immune cells.
Imagine you are laying in a mineral salt pool.
It is shallow,
And you can reach the bottom if you need to.
You are completely safe,
And no one else is about to disturb you.
The water is pure,
Natural minerals and salts that bring health,
Healing,
And vitality to your body.
You are comfortable,
Calm,
And have all you need to relax and float in this natural,
Mineral,
Healing pool.
You breathe in clean,
Pure air.
Feel the water on your skin,
Surrounding your body.
It is the perfect temperature.
Allow the water to relax your whole body,
Your skin,
Your nerves,
And your muscles.
Relax into the calm,
Quiet,
And soothing water.
You are safe to relax,
And release any thoughts,
Beliefs,
Or emotions that come up.
Keep breathing in the clean,
Pure air,
And release anything that comes up.
Without judgement,
Just acknowledge it,
And release it on the out-breath.
This water releases any pain or discomfort.
Allow it to flow away in the water.
It relaxes your body,
Allowing your fat cells to relax and reduce in size,
To return to normal size,
To full health.
Any collagen deposits,
Fibrosis,
And immune cells are calmed,
Soothed,
And settled.
They are at peace,
Safe to rest,
And release any pain or redness,
Any disease or stagnation.
All stress is released into the water.
Your body releases any excess fluid.
Hormones balance and invigorate flow and communication throughout your whole body.
With each breath,
Your body relaxes a little more,
And you calm.
You feel supported,
Connected,
And grounded.
Send to your body loving kindness and gratitude.
These cells are fragile,
And need love,
Forgiveness,
And compassion.
These cells are part of you,
And are doing their best to support you.
Say to yourself in your mind,
I let go of what is not mine to carry.
I am safe.
I am supported.
And release any emotions,
Beliefs,
Or patterns that no longer serve you,
And are ready to be released.
Move your attention now to your whole body,
And feel the connection between your body and the floor,
The cushion,
Or the chair.
Slowly bring your awareness back now to where you are.
Wriggle your fingers and your toes,
And start to make slow and gentle movements.
Move your head slowly from side to side.
And take a deep breath in,
And slowly when you are ready,
Open your eyes,
And gently stretch and move as you bring your awareness back to this room.
