Let's start by getting comfortable,
Either sitting or lying down.
And if you are comfortable too,
Please close down your eyes and slowly settle yourself.
Move your attention to your breathing and take a deep breath in,
Slowly through your nose and then slowly release the breath out of your mouth.
Do this two more times and then return to the rhythm of your natural breath.
You have nowhere else to be,
Nothing else to do.
Allow yourself to be present,
You in this moment.
Set the intention as you breathe throughout this meditation,
That you are breathing in calm,
Loving,
Healing energy and breathing out any fears,
Stress or emotion that are ready to be released.
Imagine now you are laying in nature,
Somewhere that brings calmness to your body,
A water,
A cloud,
A forest,
Grass,
Sand,
Anything that naturally touches the sky or the earth.
Feel your body as it touches this surface,
Feel the quiet,
Notice any parts of your body that are tight or bringing you pain or discomfort.
Focus your mind on this area and breathe into it,
Accepting the feeling and allowing it to release,
Even a little.
Wiggle and resettle your body if you need to.
Allow the earth or sky to absorb and transmute any pain you release.
Don't focus on the pain,
Just allow it to release,
Breathe it out and relax just a little more.
Embrace the stillness.
What lies ahead of you is a new chapter,
One you may not be looking forward to.
You may have many emotions that have arisen,
Which are all very natural.
We want to allow these emotions to come up and flow through and out and not get stuck in our body.
We want to prepare our mind and body to allow our chemotherapy treatment to enter our body,
Treat the cells it needs to,
Have minimal effect on any other good cells and be safely released and removed from our body once it has done its job.
We want to relax our mind and body and be accepting of the treatment to flow with it and allow it to do its work successfully.
Visualise now a white light coming down into the top of your head.
It is representing the chemotherapy that will enter your body.
We are removing all thoughts of chemotherapy being a poison to our body and are going to open up and accept this treatment as a love drip.
Think of this stream of light as a stream of love that we are accepting,
Loving ourselves,
Loving our body,
Loving our life,
Our family,
Our friends and loving the experiences,
Joys and opportunities we will have by accepting this into our body to do its job of dissolving and removing any cancer.
See the white light,
Strong,
Powerful and healing,
Loving,
Clever and discerning,
Able to know what to heal,
What to protect and what to dissolve and remove with a loving kindness throughout your body.
If you can,
Say to yourself in your mind,
I allow this treatment to enter my body,
To totally dissolve and remove all cancer cells I have,
To have little to no impact on all good growing cells.
This treatment is smart and can discern which cells to target.
It will do this with loving kindness to my body.
This treatment will flow smoothly through and then be released out of my body easily,
Having done its job.
If experiencing any side effects of this treatment,
I am open to the treatment doing its job with minimum negative impact to my body.
Imagine the white light flowing from the top of your head throughout your whole body,
Targeting the cancer cells and bypassing all other organs and cells.
And flowing smoothly out of your body,
Through your feet and back into the earth for healing.
Picture the white light dissolving the cancer cells.
See them light up and dull down and disappear as they are being dissolved and then being removed from the body.
As you breathe,
See the white light flowing through and out of your body for the next few minutes.
To out breath,
Say to yourself in your mind,
I release all need to control.
I release all anger and frustration.
I release all sadness and worry.
I release all fear,
Anxiety and expectation.
I release all emotions that are ready to be released.
Take two deep breaths in your nose and out of your mouth to remove the last of these emotions from your body.
Let's bring in now some supportive and loving thoughts and emotions ready for your treatment.
Feel your body connecting to the earth or sky.
Feel the energy running through your body,
Supporting,
Loving,
Protecting,
Grounding you and bringing peace and acceptance.
Visualize now,
You are making a cloak or blanket to wrap around yourself anytime you are feeling overwhelmed about your treatment.
We are going to make it by putting together squares of fabric with words imprinted on them.
You can see the squares being printed or stitched and make them as colorful as you like.
Start to put together squares with words such as love,
Acceptance,
Peace,
Stillness,
Grounded,
Protected,
Supported,
Joy,
Happiness,
Purpose,
Journey,
Truth,
Safe,
Warrior,
Resilience,
Peace,
Identity and grace.
Any other positive words that come to mind,
Add them as additional squares.
Wrap the cloak or blanket around you and feel these emotions settle into your body.
Remember to take the cloak or blanket with you after you finish this meditation.
The times you feel you need it with you.
Focus now on your whole body.
Notice how your body touches the chair,
Floor,
Cushion or bed.
Notice any sounds around you and bring your awareness back to the room you are in.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Start to make gentle movements,
Slowly moving your fingers and toes and gently move your head from side to side.
Stretch and move your body,
Slowly opening your eyes and thank yourself for taking the time to love and honor your body.
