There will be days when you are undergoing cancer treatment,
And even after you have finished,
That you just feel yuck.
You can't explain it,
You just don't feel up to doing anything,
Feel somewhat down,
Tired,
Sick of your situation,
And just wished you felt better.
This meditation is for when you feel a bit lost and not sure how to deal with it or explain it to others.
Find a quiet place,
Somewhere that brings you joy on other days,
Outside on the grass,
Near some water,
Near nature,
In your favourite place at home,
Or sitting in the corner of the coffee shop.
Anywhere you can get a few minutes to yourself that feels nice.
Relax your body,
Relax your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders,
And your hands.
Close your eyes or lower your gaze and take in a few deep breaths.
If any emotion comes up,
Allow it to flow through and out of your body,
With no resistance and no judgment.
Breathe in life,
Breathe out the yuck,
Breathe in energy,
Breathe out the tiredness,
Breathe in light,
Breathe out the darkness,
Breathe in colour,
Breathe out the blackness,
Breathe in love,
Breathe out the frustration,
Breathe in kindness,
Breathe out the anger,
Breathe in joy,
Breathe out the sadness,
Breathe in support,
Breathe out the loneliness,
Breathe in the positive,
Breathe out the negative,
Breathe in the positive,
Keep breathing in and out,
Bringing in the positive,
Breathing out what no longer serves you.
Get in a rhythm and see brightness fill your body as you breathe in,
And darkness be released on the out-breath.
Allow your body to rest,
To heal,
To rejuvenate,
To be quiet and still.
Accept that this is what is best for your body at this time.
It is ok to feel emotional,
And it is ok to feel nothing,
It is ok to just be.
Listen to what your body needs,
And if you can't tell,
Just be still and rest.
Take a few deep breaths,
And return to the space you are in.
Take gentle movements,
Open your eyes,
And sit in the stillness and quiet for a few minutes.
Thank you for honouring your body,
And know you can return to the space you are in.
