Hi,
My name is Dia and I'd like to welcome you to this Spring Equinox Meditation.
I'd like to invite you to take a pause and to peel away the layers of winter and begin to tap into the lightness and newness that spring is offering.
They say that March comes in like a lion,
But with a little intention we can roll out like a lamb.
Spring Equinox is a time of balance between day and night,
But soon will tip towards greater light,
Longer days,
Warmer weather here in the Northern Hemisphere.
It's another turning point in the wheel of the year and as such it serves as a portal of transformation,
A time to really pause and reflect on where you've been and where you'd like to go.
The Spring Equinox embraces the energies of rebirth,
Fertility,
Creativity,
Growth.
It's a time when all of life is re-emerging and we are treated to the first colors of life returning.
The soft greens of the grasses,
The buds on the trees,
The soft violets of the crocus and the gentle yellow of daffodils.
Mother Earth is waking up and she is wildly abundant and that same force within us is stirring,
Is awakening.
We want to pause and we want to harness this energy so that we can move intentionally in life aligned with the cycles of the Earth.
So if you're ready I'd invite you to step into a meditation that will help us do just that.
So to do this meditation I invite you to find a place where you can sit quietly undisturbed.
If you can be outside that's great or if you can sit by a window and open the window and allow that breeze to come in.
It will help a little bit more to attune with the energy of spring.
So when you're ready let's pause and connect together.
We'll start by connecting with the breath.
So when you're ready take in a deep breath.
Let your whole body expand and as you exhale just allow yourself to ground down,
Down into the hips,
Down through the legs,
Down through the soles of the feet and into the Earth.
We're going to slow it down and take three cycles three cycles for each of our senses.
So when you're ready take in a breath.
Feel that breath move through your body and expand your body and as you exhale begin to ground yourself here in this sacred moment of now.
Begin to take stock and notice,
Notice what you are hearing.
Taking three breaths to notice all the sounds in the room.
Maybe your window is open and you can hear birds.
Maybe you can hear the wind whistling whistling through branches.
Just noticing what you are hearing and then take a moment to notice if there's any scent in the room.
Again maybe your window is open and you can smell smell spring in the air.
The smell of the grass,
Smell of flowers blooming.
Just notice the smells that are associated with spring.
Breathe in as if you were breathing in the spring.
Breathe in as if you were breathing in the bloom to the blossom of a tulip and all that it offers for this springtime resurgence.
And then take a moment and see if you can notice on your skin.
Noticing how that makes you feel.
If it's tingling,
If it's awakening,
If it's stirring.
Just noticing.
And then if spring were to have a flavor what would it taste like?
Would it be the sweetness of the first strawberries?
Just seeing for you if you can conjure up the taste of spring.
And in this way noticing all your senses alive.
What it means to be in spring.
What you're hearing,
What you're seeing,
What you're tasting,
What you're feeling.
Just allow yourself to really awaken to this beautiful energy of rebirth.
Of reclaiming yourself as fully alive in this moment.
Of letting go of the heaviness of winter and coming back into the lightness of new birth.
Accepting that everything in life is cyclical.
Everything in life is birthing and dying and birthing anew.
So take a moment to reflect on what it means for you.
What are the things that you have outgrown?
The ways of being,
The belief thoughts,
The habits.
What are the things that are no longer serving you that you have outgrown and are ready to shed once and for all?
Take a moment to feel where these outgrown narratives live in your body and how much space they take.
And then I invite you if you're willing and ready to let them go.
To clear this space and to plant new seeds.
What are you ready to seed now?
What's the new story?
Visualize these seeds being planted within your own being now like light beams or stars.
Allow yourself to fully receive these new seeds of desires.
These new seeds of intention for you to move forward in your life with full passion,
Purpose,
Enthusiasm.
Let these seeds be planted deep within your body,
Within your being,
Within your soul.
And these are the seeds that you will attend to with your breath,
With your love,
With your attention.
May these be the seeds of your new beginning.
One that you nurture that allows you to grow into the highest version of yourself for all to witness and be blessed by your presence.
And then I invite you for the following days to come and long into spring.
I invite you to create a mantra or an affirmation or use this one if it resonates with you.
I am she.
I am the great mother of abundance,
Of fertility,
Of creativity.
I know who I am meant to be.
I may not be everything for everyone but what I have to offer is something and is enough.
And is enough.
I am willing to open myself up to be of service and trust that guidance will lead me forward.
That grace will lead me forward.
I open,
I trust,
And I believe.
And in gratitude I say thank you.
In the name of love it is done.
It is done.
It is done.
And then when you're ready we'll close this meditation by bringing our hands together in Anjali Mudra.
Our hands in front of our heart in prayer position and we bow down to the earth for all that it offers in abundance and we bow to the sky for all that it offers in abundance and we bow to ourselves,
To our humanness,
To our divinity and I bow to you and in the name of Namaste I say the light in me bows down to the light in you.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
Namaste.
