This is a welcome home meditation.
This is just for you.
So take some time to get comfortable.
Move around.
Do whatever you need to do.
Put everything to one side.
Shift your body and then find a comfortable position.
Whether you want to sit up or lie down.
Then I invite you to just take a breath.
Start to let go of your day.
Letting go of busyness of your thoughts,
The busyness of your life.
Finding yourself here.
Connecting to your body.
Connecting to your breath.
And letting go of the rest.
So if you're ready,
Let's begin by taking a few deep breaths.
So breathing in.
Feel your body expanding.
And as you exhale,
Just release down,
Emptying out your lungs.
And then beginning again,
Big full breath in.
And exhaling,
Dropping down,
Down into your hips.
And then again,
Big full body breath as if your whole body is breathing in.
Expanding out,
Opening and exhaling.
Dropping even more down into your hips.
Down through the legs.
Down through the soles of the feet and into the earth.
Take your time to arrive here.
Allowing your breath to land in this natural rhythm.
And taking your time to welcome yourself here in this space of emptiness.
In this void of nothingness.
In the spaciousness and the freedom of being here.
Knowing there's nothing you need to do.
Knowing you need to be.
You're just here.
As this being of light and as this being of love.
So from here,
If you'd like,
You can imagine yourself just lying on a bed of green grass with the solidness of the earth beneath you,
Supporting you.
You can feel the warmth of the sun pouring down on you,
The top of your head.
All the way down your face and along your throat.
Down the center of your rib cage.
Down towards your navel,
Into your hips.
Down the front of your legs,
The tops of your feet and the bottom of your feet.
And taking in a breath and as you exhale,
Let your body get heavy and just drop into the earth,
The back of your ankles,
Your calves,
Your thighs,
Your hips,
Your lower back,
Feeling this natural curve lifting up in your lower back.
In the middle of your back,
Dropping down into the earth.
Softening the shoulders down.
Feeling the natural curve of your neck as the back of your head falls heavily onto the earth.
In complete surrender and release.
Allowing yourself to be here.
Maybe hearing the sounds of a meadow nearby and the trickling of water flowing,
Moving.
Maybe feeling a soft breeze coming over you,
Clearing and being here.
In this space,
In this space of expansionness.
In this embrace of love.
Returning home.
Coming back to yourself as whole.
As enough.
Knowing you are held,
You are loved,
You are whole.
You are here for as long as you'd like or if you are ready to come back,
Begin to bring some movement back into your fingers.
Rotating the wrists,
Wiggling the toes,
Wiggling the ankles.
Taking in a deeper breath.
Starting to reawaken and bringing yourself back.
Bringing your hands to rest on your heart center.
With such gratitude for this opportunity to sit and to be still and to remember the love that you are and the love that surrounds you.
For this we say thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
And so it is and so it shall be.
