And space that they need to settle.

.

.

.

Your mind and your body.

.

.

.

So before we do anything.

.

.

.

Just take a moment to acknowledge the transition that you are making now.

.

.

.

A very simple shift from all of the busyness of life.

.

.

.

Even if you are not actually physically busy at the moment.

.

.

.

Often there is a busyness going on in your mind.

.

.

.

Yoga Nidra is giving ourselves a break from our own minds.

.

.

.

From the noise.

.

.

.

Not just in the world out there.

.

.

.

But the noise of our own minds.

.

.

.

And so put a frame around this time.

.

.

.

A time that you are taking out to really give yourself that break.

.

.

.

A time of quietude.

.

.

.

And as we come into this beautiful practice of Yoga Nidra.

.

.

.

I just want to say a few things.

.

.

.

And I would like your mind body system to really receive and to feel.

.

.

.

And to hear these words.

.

.

.

So that it's not just a nice idea.

.

.

.

Not just words.

.

.

.

But for this time that we are taking out together.

.

.

.

Nothing is being asked of you.

.

.

.

There is nothing that you need to control.

.

.

.

Nothing to manage.

.

.

.

Nothing that you need to make happen.

.

.

.

No expectation to be met.

.

.

.

No story to uphold.

.

.

.

And really get a sense of the relief of letting all of that go.

.

.

.

And let's very quickly just let your body really feel the difference between tension and relaxation.

.

.

.

So first of all squeeze the muscles in your legs really tightly.

.

.

.

How does it feel to hold.

.

.

.

To grip and to clench.

.

.

.

And then how does it feel to soften.

.

.

.

To release and to let go.

.

.

.

And then raise your hips just slightly.

.

.

.

Squeeze your bum.

.

.

.

Holding and gripping.

.

.

.

And then allowing your hips to settle back down.

.

.

.

Pressing your lower back gently down.

.

.

.

And then releasing and letting go.

.

.

.

And then squeeze a tight fist.

.

.

.

Press your fingers into your palms.

.

.

.

Holding and gripping and clenching.

.

.

.

And then spread your fingers out wide.

.

.

.

Sense your upper arms.

.

.

.

And then allow your arms to settle back down.

.

.

.

And release the weight.

.

.

.

Tense your abdomen.

.

.

.

Your chest.

.

.

.

And all of the muscles of your back.

.

.

.

And then allow your whole upper body to soften back down.

.

.

.

And then just slightly raise your head.

.

.

.

Feel the weight that you've been carrying all day.

.

.

.

Right now offer it back.

.

.

.

And completely abandon the weight of your whole body.

.

.

.

Let that weight fall right down.

.

.

.

And then let's breathe.

.

.

.

So we're going to spend just a little bit of time taking our first deep releasing breath together.

.

.

.

With a nice deep breath down into your belly.

.

.

.

Punching your shoulders right up to your ears.

.

.

.

And then let your body go ah.

.

.

.

Heaving a sigh of relief.

.

.

.

And in your own time.

.

.

.

As you lie here quietly.

.

.

.

And as the energies of your mind body system settle down naturally.

.

.

.

Take a few more of those really slow deep releasing breaths.

.

.

.

Take your time.

.

.

.

There's no rush.

.

.

.

No hurry.

.

.

.

You don't need to try.

.

.

.

See if you can just let your body breathe as if by itself.

.

.

.

And see if you can let that breath flow with ease.

.

.

.

Really low.

.

.

.

Right down into your belly.

.

.

.

And on the exhalation.

.

.

.

Give yourself permission to just let it all go.

.

.

.

In fact you don't even have to try that hard.

.

.

.

You don't even have to give yourself that permission.

.

.

.

There is already permission right here.

.

.

.

To just let it all go.

.

.

.

You don't need to know how.

.

.

.

Just let your willingness.

.

.

.

Is enough.

.

.

.

Let that breath go really low.

.

.

.

Tummy filling up like a balloon.

.

.

.

As you inhale.

.

.

.

Feeling.

.

.

.

Drinking in.

.

.

.

And savouring every drop of that life giving breath.

.

.

.

And let the exhalation lead you down into the really gentle.

.

.

.

The very simple.

.

.

.

And the completely effortless space of just being.

.

.

.

Nothing to do.

.

.

.

Nowhere to go.

.

.

.

Nothing to get.

.

.

.

Just being here is enough.

.

.

.

Let your whole body be held.

.

.

.

Let your body be cradled.

.

.

.

In the healing bath.

.

.

.

And just for now let the whole story of your life fall away.

.

.

.

And if it comes back.

.

.

.

Just let it fall away again.

.

.

.

And again.

.

.

.

And just for now see if you can stay with the simple feeling.

.

.

.

Body breathing.

.

.

.

Just quietly noticing the movement of your breath.

.

.

.

Without changing it.

.

.

.

Without controlling it now.

.

.

.

But just feeling that very subtle sensation.

.

.

.

In the inner passageways of your nostrils.

.

.

.

As body breathes.

.

.

.

See if you can stay.

.

.

.

And if you leave without any judgement.

.

.

.

Just beginning afresh.

.

.

.

Body breathing.

.

.

.

Moment by moment.

.

.

By moment.

看一下 forehead smooth nerve connecting back of eyes to brain releasing and letting go safe,

Really safe just to be here brain releasing its weight the feeling behind eyes resting open less and less effort whilst you remain effortlessly aware awake wide open and receptive even as body rests and softens just a little more and maybe even more than that welcome the feeling right hand not the image not the memory but the current sensation right hand back of right hand the natural sensation right palm let it come to you tingling and alive thumb second finger third fourth little finger softening wrist forearm elbow upper arm shoulder right side of chest right side of your back waist hip thigh knee back of knee shin calf ankle heel sole of right foot just the feeling the whole right side of body softening even more you are aware you are awake even as body sleeps welcoming now the feeling left hand the current sensation back of left hand the natural sensation left palm tingling and alive thumb second finger third fourth little finger softening open wrist forearm elbow upper arm shoulder left side of chest left side of your back waist hip thigh knee back of knee shin calf ankle heel sole of left foot the direct feeling the whole left side of body softening even more the whole body the whole body dropping a little deeper the bones the muscles and the organs based in the healing balm of just being and in the silent space that follows how would it be just to be here to be wide open receptive and available even as body sleeps to rest as an aware presence just being just being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being being just being being so very simple just being not one thought not one nothing to hold nothing to hold nothing to grasp nothing to hold nothing to hold you are present conscious as mind and body sleep you are you are you are you are you are you are you are you are you are unfolding in you awareness home just being just being a piece that is yours let's let the body breathe a little more deeply again your breath flowing with ease low into your belly wide into your chest and let's enjoy just a few really slow really deep releasing breaths without trying without making lots of effort let your body receive that gift generously like a long slow drink of that fresh life giving breath the air that we breathe here in abundance and freely given let the exhalation go with a lovely long and soft sigh and as we rest here for these remaining moments call forward a prayer for your life something that you really really want and when we get really quiet in this way we open the possibility of hearing a different voice to the mind the voice of your innate wisdom the voice of your deepest being the voice of your truth your knowing the voice of your heart and what your heart knows so remaining wide open listening to this whole moment receptive and available to whatever wants to be seen,

Heard and felt whilst your body continues to bathe in the sweetness of just being whilst every cell drinks of the nectar of a piece that is yours that you don't need to work for that you don't need to deserve or earn a piece that can never be taken away from you just an openness to that possibility is enough feel the ground beneath your body or the surface that your body is resting on sensing the earth beneath that present and aware giving yourself your greatest gift your full attention your full presence and on that exhalation just letting it all go emptying out of all that is unhelpful all that is not needed now I'm going to invite you to either continue to rest to really listen to what your body needs and if and when your body is ready to move to let that just happen naturally to be really kind and gentle to yourself to give yourself a break to go easy on yourself may you be well may you be at peace may you be happy thank you Laura thank you so without saying too much because I don't want to pull you out of that space of just being but I'm going to thank you all very much for being here this evening for showing up for valuing,

Stopping in this way and for dropping into that shared space together thank you and may you sleep really deeply and peacefully this evening thank you guys thank you

I loved the way this was introduced with a clear explanation of what Yoga Nidra is. I was amazed because I think this meditation is 53 minutes long, yet it felt like only 10 minutes had passed! I loved the affirmations regarding our divine nature. I also love the deep wisdom that informed this session and how these affirmations are designed to penetrate the subconscious. I am very grateful for all the inspiration you give me as one cannot put a value on this. I believe that this is one of the greatest services that one can give another. The ending was beautiful too and reminded me of the way you used to sometimes end sessions two and three years ago. All your work is a divine blessing and SO needed . I listen to you every day. Firstly, Breathing Morning Prayers followed by Plunging Into The Mystery of Love. I find it difficult to express how much help they give me . Love Shuman
