
Guided Practice For The Full Supermoon In Scorpio
Join Sara under the Full Supermoon in Scorpio this May as we consider themes relating to our physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing and work with the full moon energy to identify and release what no longer serves us. Please do have a pen and paper with you, and if possible a quiet space to relax, reflect, and contemplate.

Welcome dear friends this is Sarah and I am so happy if you are with me again.
I'm so sorry there was not a meditation for the new moon with being at home so much more it's been much more of a challenge to find a comfortable and quiet enough space to record for you but hopefully this one for the full moon in Scorpio will work out.
As always this is really a guided interactive practice so it's much more of an opportunity to reflect and journal than it is to sit in meditation but you can also just use the quiet space to contemplate and really think about the answers to some of the prompts that we'll go through.
The first thing that you should do is if you can find a quiet space where you can sit down and you're not going to be disturbed.
If you want to make your space feel a little bit more sacred for you then you can light a candle.
Maybe you want to clear your space with some incense or some sage or just open a window if you need to to get the energy moving before you want to sit down and go through this.
If you need to pause and do that please do it now and I'll wait for you and then come back.
The Scorpio full moon in May of 2020 is the last super moon that we have this year and a super moon just means that the moon is very close to perigee so it's the closest that it can be to us and what that means is that we might feel much more of that emotional release of that culmination point than we normally would do.
Any of the effects that a full moon normally would have on us anyway are just heightened because it is so much closer to us and it is in that transformational sign of Scorpio.
As we know Scorpio is all about that metaphorical death and rebirth.
It's about digging in and pulling up what needs to come out and using that energy as a release point and finding ways that we can let it go.
Now with the new moon earlier this month it was in the sign of Taurus and Taurus is very physical.
It's a very grounded sign.
It's earth energy and it's all about our physical body and about sensations.
It's about the way that we experience things in the body and our physical selves and when the moon is full it's opposite the Sun in the sky.
So for this super moon we have the moon full in Scorpio directly opposite that Sun in that earthy fixed energy of Taurus.
So what we see with that is this kind of competition almost between the physical self and really your internal self with Scorpio and how we balance those.
So in Taurus we're very much concerned with physical self care and what the body needs,
How we nourish ourselves and nourish ourselves physically,
Spiritually and emotionally.
And over the past couple of weeks since that new moon in Taurus what we might have been finding is that during this time when a lot of us are much more restricted than we normally are,
We are at home much more,
That as we care for the physical body and all of the distractions that we normally have fall away,
What that does is it allows a lot of those deep held things that we distract ourselves from feeling to come up and that can feel quite overwhelming.
So if you have in the past couple of weeks found yourself dealing with really deep rooted emotions,
Going back over past scenarios,
Dragging up maybe past hurts and really almost obsessing over them,
Scorpio energy.
And what it's doing is allowing us to bring these things up and it is giving us the opportunity to work with the current energy to release them so that we can move forward and feel lighter.
All the distractions that we normally have that allow us to keep those hurts,
Those wounds,
All of those things hidden deep within the psyche,
Deep within the self,
Aren't there anymore.
And we've had this opportunity to slow down and some of it's all come rushing up to the surface right.
So know that if you are feeling any of those things you're not alone.
Scorpio is investigative and likes to dig and it likes to dig because it wants us to really hook in deep down into the belly and to pull all these things up so they can be dealt with.
We also have Pluto in retrograde at the moment and Scorpio is ruled by Pluto and again this is,
Pluto is Lord of the underworld right.
This is all this metaphorical death,
Rebirth,
Transformation,
What needs to die for us to be able to move forward and we're really being given the chance to get into that at the moment.
We also have Neptune in the mix with this full moon so if you've been having vivid dreams,
Again not alone,
Pay attention to them because sometimes when we haven't faced things that we need to,
They're just below the surface in the subconscious and they come out through our dreams.
If your dreams have been much more vivid than usual pay attention to what's been in them.
Are you finding that you are dreaming of fears?
Are you finding that you are dreaming of old situations?
Are people from the past appearing in your dreams?
These are all themes of this Pluto retrograde,
The Scorpio full moon and Neptune in there.
So we want to try as much as we can to tap into all of it and to be able to dig up what it is that wants to come out and to release.
We are heading in the next months into eclipse season again and we have two big eclipses in June and eclipses are always course corrections right and they're an opportunity for brand new starts.
So let's use the energy of this Scorpio super moon to dig up and pull out anything that we need to deal with so that we can fully take advantage of these eclipses that are coming in June.
I'd like to begin just by doing a really simple reflective or journaling practice and I'd like you just to sit to consider what has come up for you over the past couple of weeks.
Has that been,
Has there been that rush of emotion?
Has there been that old pain that has come up?
How has it felt?
What has it been?
See if you can identify it.
See if you can write it down.
See if you can just let it come up.
Don't think too much about it just put pen to paper and see what rises.
And see what rises.
I'll wait for you and I'll come back to you just in two minutes.

One minute to go just keep writing.
Okay.
All these emotions and these deep rooted feelings that we have are energy and when the energy is stuck these emotions want to move the energy wants to move and when they get stuck in the body we can feel as if we've got an urge to move them and that's why journaling is so helpful because we can use that automatic writing to try to move the stuck energy.
You can also use things like yoga or pranayama breathing techniques and they really help with moving energy around the body.
So with this form and also consider what it is that you can do to move any of that stuck energy.
Make a plan.
How will you move?
What does your physical body need to let all that emotion and energy that's stuck move during this time?
Write it down.
Consider ways that you can express emotion.
Think about music.
Think about dance.
Think about any creativity,
Any creative activity and see if you can think of ways to really move all that emotion with this form.
I'll come back to you in two minutes.
So so one minute to go.
Think about activities that really touch your soul.
That really provoke that passion,
That rush of emotion within you.
Make a plan.
So the last thing that we can do is release.
And as always because it is a full moon,
We want to make our list of everything that we want to give to this energy.
Everything that we want this massive energy of release transformation to take with it.
It would be wonderful if after you've listened to this you could just find a space and a candle.
Take some time to write down everything that you wish to release.
Write down scenarios.
Write down events that happened that have come up that you're still dealing with.
Write down people.
Write down situations.
Write down behaviour patterns.
Write it all down.
Use words like I am free from.
I no longer engage with.
I forgive.
You can then rip your paper into pieces and you can and you can let the flame of the candle take it and give it to the full moon.

Your higher power,
The universe or the moon for taking everything that you wish to release for the highest goods of yourself and for all other beings.
