Lektion 1

The Role of the Drum

In this session, we learn how rhythmic drumming induces altered states of consciousness, synchronizes the left and right hemispheres of the brain, stimulates a holistic alpha brain wave cycle, and renews the flow of the intuitive mind. These effects produce deeper self-awareness; allow us to connect with the power of the universe, to externalize our own knowledge and to internalize our answers.

The Fundamentals of Shamanic Drumming

In this session, we learn the foundational elements of this core shamanic practice. The exercise in this lesson takes you step-by-step through the process of creating and opening sacred space, grounding yourself, establishing your intention or desired outcome, playing the drum properly and closing sacred space. We also learn how to navigate the three inner planes of consciousness: the Upper, Middle, and Lower Worlds.

Lektion 3

Taking the Shamanic Journey

In this session, we will learn the basic steps of how to go on a shamanic journey. I will then take you on a guided shamanic journey to the Lower World, the realm of power animals, spirit guides and ancestral spirits. To support your journey, you will listen to my drum and follow the guidance of my voice.

Lektion 4

Power Practice

In this informative session, we explore the different aspects of shamanic practice. Through a series of exercises, we learn how to develop inner vision for journey work, how to communicate with nature, how to drum celestial bodies, and how to meet your power animal or guardian spirit. Recognizing and developing a relationship with one's power animal is an important aspect of shamanic practice. Finally, we learn how to harness the power of drum circles.

Lektion 5

Healing the Earth

In this session, we learn how to be caretakers of the earth by interacting with the power places or acupuncture points of the planetary grid, which is the planetary counterpart to the acupuncture meridian system of the human body. Like acupuncture needles, humans are capable of maintaining the harmonious flow of the planetary energy meridians by making an earth connection at power places. Through drumming we can harmonize the energies of this living planet.
