Lektion 1
Symptoms Are Your Messengers
In this lesson, we start to change our understanding of chronic pain or symptoms by looking at them as messengers that the brain and body are sending out in response to certain threats. You'll be introduced to the concept of neuroplastic or mindbody symptoms, and start to move away from treating the symptoms in isolation, towards a more holistic approach that addresses the true underlying root causes. You'll also be encouraged to reflect on the origin of your symptoms, to start establishing links between emotional distress and the onset of your symptoms.

Mind And Body Are Inseparable
This lesson explains how the brain works with the rest of the body to register dangerous situations, and how traumatic or high-stress experiences can create real physical symptoms. You will then be guided through an exercise designed to start changing your perceptions and judgments of chronic symptoms and to feel safer in your body.

Dealing With Fear And The Nocebo Effect
In this lesson, we explore how fear and fear-based information or suggestions can impact the chronic pain experience. You will learn about the Nocebo Effect - one of the main underlying factors behind so many chronic pain or symptoms, which often remains overlooked. Finally, we'll start looking into ways of reducing the fear response to create more trust and belief in recovery.

Setting Different Expectations To Rewire The Brain
In this lesson, you will learn a bit more about how mindbody symptoms develop, and how to work with language and attitudes in order to rewire the brain and body for pain or symptom-free. You will start taking very simple action steps to change your language and programming, in order to plant the seed of possibility for healing and recovery.

Cultivating Safety In Your Day To Day Life (Part One - Feeling Safe With Your Emotions)
A lack of safety lurks behind many mind-body conditions. In this lesson, you'll learn about the various factors or situations that can create a lack of safety, and how to start working with your emotions in order to avoid repression, suppression, or unhelpful responses. Most importantly, you'll learn how to feel safer feeling your own emotions - a skill that will help you feel safer in your own skin.

Cultivating Safety In Your Day To Day Life (Part Two - Feeling Safe In The Body)
In this lesson, you'll learn how to reduce fear, frustration, and helplessness with regard to your body and health, to create a prevailing sense of safety. This newfound safety will help promote nervous system regulation and reduce inflammation and tension. Get ready to discover one of the most powerful brain rewiring techniques for individuals suffering from chronic pain or symptoms.

Trauma, Personality Traits And MindBody Symptoms
In this lesson, you'll learn about the connection between past trauma, specific personality traits, and the development of mind-body symptoms. You'll also learn how trauma can shape our personality when we develop specific traits as a coping mechanism. Start getting aware of your stress or anxiety-inducing personality traits and learn how to work with triggering responses in your day-to-day life, to increase calm and resilience, while reducing tightness and tension.

Embodying The Healing Mindset
In this lesson, you'll be exploring the various actions you can take to cultivate safety and trust in your body, and to create a more pleasing and fulfilling life for yourself through connection and play. You'll also learn how you can start to re-introduce previously-avoided activities, including sport, without fear or overwhelm.

Overcoming Doubt In MindBody Healing
This lesson will help address a common stumbling block to progress: doubt in one's ability to get better and to resume one's favorite activities. Learn about a recent trial that proves the effectiveness of the mind-body approach, and practise a somatic tracking exercise to help increase trust and confidence in your body.

This final lesson provides insight, reminders and ideas on how to proceed with your mind-body journey. Find out what you may need to focus on in your personal life, to create more safety, confidence and trust.
