Hello,
I'm Diana.
I want to welcome you to this meditation,
Listening to what your body is withholding.
Now let's get started.
I want to invite you to find a place where you can rest without needing to perform.
Sit or lie down,
And let gravity hold you.
Close your eyes gently,
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And release it with a soft sigh.
And again,
Inhale,
Receiving,
Exhale,
Letting yourself be held.
Let your jaw soften,
Let your tongue grow heavy,
Let your shoulders melt,
And let your belly loosen.
Now turn your awareness inward,
Not as a fixer,
Not as a strategist,
But as a quiet witness.
Your body is always speaking,
In warmth,
In tightness,
In fatigue,
And in longing.
And sometimes,
In what it withholds.
Notice where you feel a subtle holding back today.
Is there a place that feels braced?
A place that feels numb or distant?
A place that seems to whisper,
Not yet?
Now close your eyes,
Bring your attention there,
As if you were approaching a shy child.
Slowly,
Breathe into that space.
Not to force it open,
Not to demand release,
But to say,
I see you,
I am here now.
Perhaps your body withholds,
Because it has been giving too much,
Perhaps it is protecting something tender,
Perhaps it is simply tired of being overridden.
Let your breath become warm and golden,
Like sunlight over olive groves at dusk,
Like slow poured oil warming in your palms.
Let that warmth bathe the guarded place,
No urgency,
No agenda.
Quietly ask,
What are you protecting?
What do you need in order to soften?
What nourishment has been missing?
Listen without rushing the answer.
Your body does not open through pressure.
It opens through safety,
Through real,
Through nourishment and through being met.
Place one hand over your heart and the other hand on your lower belly.
Feel the gentle tide of breath moving between them.
You are not withdrawing.
You are conserving.
You are not broken.
You are guarding something sacred.
And when your body feels truly safe,
It will unfold in its own time.
Take one deep breath in and a slow,
Grounding breath out.
Begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers.
Invite light back behind your eyelids.
And when you're ready,
You can softly open your eyes.
I would like to invite you,
Before moving on with your day,
To take a moment to notice what shifted,
Even subtly.
Was there a sensation that changed?
A word,
A memory,
Or an image that arose?
Did a particular area of your body ask for something specific?
If it feels right to you,
You can open your journal and think about one of the following things,
And maybe journal a bit about it.
Here are a couple of thoughts.
What is my body protecting right now?
Where in my life have I been overriding my own signals?
What would true nourishment look like for me this week?
If my body could speak freely,
What would it ask?
Write without censoring.
Let your body lead your pen.
This is not about analyzing anything.
It's about conversation.
And that's all for today.
I want to thank you for joining me.
Until next time!
