Good morning,
And welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius,
And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice.
Your eyes are open.
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together.
Nice and slow.
Beginning to take longer,
Deeper breaths.
Softening.
Softening your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your neck.
Allowing your shoulders to drop allowing your heart and your heart space to slowly expand and take up more space.
Don't be afraid to make some noise with your breath,
Particularly with your exhale.
Something magical happens when your human ears can hear your human voice.
Something magical happens when the vibration of your voice is felt by your heart.
Our practice today has a very specific intention.
This practice is dedicated to anyone.
.
.
Who has a dream,
A creative dream of any sort.
Particularly anyone out there that has.
Fallen.
It has.
Made a mistake.
Anyone that needs a little extra support to be picked up.
So that they can step back.
Into the arena.
I know this journey very well.
I have fallen many times.
And every single time I find a way to pick myself up,
And get back into the arena.
Just take a moment to let those words.
.
.
Work their way into or being into your consciousness.
Is there any part of you that is ready.
To step back into your arena,
Whatever your arena is.
If it makes you feel a little nervous,
That's the point.
If it's a little uncertain,
Once again,
The point.
Is there a place?
Is there a part of you?
That is ready to stand up again.
Is there a place?
Is there a part of you?
That is ready to brush themselves off.
Clear your channel,
Clear what's ever in your space,
Clear what's ever is blocking,
Clear what ever is leaking.
Take a deep breath.
Chin up.
And take one step forward.
Maybe you feel the fear.
And you take another step forward.
Maybe you hear resistance in all of its sneaky ways,
Trying to convince you to stop and quit.
And you take another step forward.
And maybe you decide you're not ready to step forward.
And I want to say to you,
That's okay.
That's okay,
Everyone is on their own journey and sometimes we need to take a moment.
Catch our breath.
Let's take a breath here together.
If you're open to it,
Place one hand on your heart,
One hand just above your belly button.
Connect with yourself,
Connect with your heart,
Connect with your human.
Thank you,
Dear human.
Thank you,
Dear heart.
Thank you for everything you have done.
Thank you,
Dear mind.
You can place your hands down or leave them if you like.
It's so easy to be critical about.
Our journey,
It's so easy to get down on ourselves.
So easy.
To miss.
Who we have become.
And then if we're not careful.
.
.
It's many years down the line and we look back and we say,
Why?
Why were we so hard on ourselves?
We are here now.
We are here now.
You are hearing my voice.
You are here.
You are still here.
Somehow,
Someway,
You made it.
Through every single one of your hardest days.
Through every single one of your mistakes.
Through every single one of your failures,
You made it.
And you are here now.
How precious is life.
How precious is life,
Our humans.
Our humans are our soul's mate.
Your human is your soul's mate.
Everything you experience on planet earth through your human.
Taking a deep breath here.
Waking up,
Any part of us that's asleep that has forgotten how precious life is.
We are waking those parts up.
Right here.
Right now.
This is our last song this morning.
I'm gonna sit back,
Leave a lot of open space.
For you and your human and your soul and your heart and your mind.
To come together.
Whatever you've been through.
Today,
Here now,
An opportunity to pick yourself up.
Brush yourself off.
And let go of any of that stuff that you don't need to carry anymore.
And step.
Back into your creative arena.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear creator.
You made it to the end of another meditation.
And for that,
I am so grateful.
What a joy to go deep together.
What a joy to open our hearts and be vulnerable together.
What a joy.
What a privilege,
What a blessing.
To remember how powerful,
How creative,
How supportive we are.
For those that are joining us live at The Artist Morning,
I'm going to put.
.
.
20 minutes on the clock.
Share an optional journaling prompt and allow us to continue this exploration together.
For those that are catching us on a replay,
Of course you can do the same.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
