Good morning and welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius,
And I am so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together,
Nice and slow.
Feeling the ground beneath you,
Feeling the points in which your body,
Perhaps your feet,
Are touching the floor How solid it is,
How consistent.
Taking a few deep breaths.
Imagining new creative energy coming in through your inhales.
New supportive energy coming in through your inhales,
Clearing,
Cleansing,
Recharging you by the simple act of taking a few slow deep breaths.
And if you'd like to make some noise on your exhales,
That's okay.
Your voice is welcome here.
Your joy,
Your pleasure,
Your ease is welcome here.
Let's do it together.
Let's take a nice deep breath in.
Hold at the top of your breath.
Big exhale out.
There's a lightness there,
There's a pleasure just to release.
We're gonna practice softening.
Softening our foreheads,
Our jaws,
Our necks.
When we soften,
We allow the pleasure,
The ease to work its way through our body.
Allowing the pleasure,
The joy,
The ease to work its way through your body.
Imagining.
This softness as it works its way down,
Down,
Down,
As it gets to your shoulders,
To your back.
There's a warmth to it.
It almost feels like.
.
.
A hug from someone you love.
Taking a moment to feel the energy.
Of a warm,
Nurturing,
Supportive hug.
From someone you love.
In that moment where you feel supported.
You feel safe,
You feel held.
And you let go a little bit and you fall into the hug a little bit more.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And see if we can come to that moment.
Breathing in.
.
.
Big exhale out,
Feeling the warm loving embrace.
And maybe today,
You could really use a hug.
Maybe today you're not that interested in a hug.
That's okay too.
Continue taking deep breaths.
Connecting with the rhythmic elements of your breathing as you breathe in and out.
In and out,
Your chest and belly rises up.
And down,
Up and down.
It's almost like waves in the ocean.
Soft,
Gentle waves.
Just take a moment here.
To connect with your heart.
How is your heart this morning?
How is your heart?
And let's practice breathing into our hearts.
You can't get this wrong.
Slow gentle breaths into your heart.
And imagining your heart is expanding,
Is growing in every direction,
Gently,
Softly,
Lovingly.
With each inhale,
It's almost as if your heart is stretching like a morning stretch.
And as your heart gently stretches open.
You might notice a little bit of pleasure.
Feels good.
To stretch.
It feels good to allow your muscles to expand,
Allow your energy to take up more space.
If you're open to it here.
I want to invite you to imagine that your heart is smiling,
Whatever that means to you.
The energy of your heart smiling,
The energy of a joyful heart.
And maybe the energy of that joyful heart.
Makes your mouth,
Your face smile as well.
Continue taking deep breaths.
If you're open to it,
Continue allowing your voice to be a gateway into more joy,
More ease,
More pleasure.
It's really simple,
We just.
.
.
Make a little noise,
A little sigh,
Indicating that we are in a pleasurable state.
We are in a safe place.
It can be really,
Really quiet if you like.
Do together here.
Breathing in.
A little bit of noise on the exhale.
It's that moment.
Where we let go,
That moment after we're finished doing something potentially challenging,
Difficult,
Important.
That moment where we go.
.
.
We did it.
We did it.
Heart smiling,
Face maybe smiling.
Play with me.
That moment where you did the thing,
Whatever the thing is.
And your body just releases.
Now again,
Don't overthink it.
Your mind might be,
What thing?
What did we do?
I don't get it.
Thank you,
Mind.
Thank you,
Beautiful mind.
It's so much simpler than that.
We're just playing together.
Let's try again,
Ready?
Deep breath in.
Hold at the top,
Imagining your heart is smiling,
Letting go with some noise.
We did it.
We did it.
Oh,
That feels so good.
Hmm.
You're open to it,
Just practice for that moment.
When you're on the other side of that thing you've always wanted to do,
No matter how small,
How big.
Deep breath in.
.
.
Big exhale out.
You did it.
You did the thing.
Heart smiling,
Face smiling.
I'm just gonna leave a little space here for you to tap in to the joy,
The ease,
The pleasure that is available to you here.
And just notice what's here.
There's no right way,
No wrong way,
Just notice what's here.
What could happen.
To your day,
To your week,
To your year,
To your life.
If you practice.
That moment.
Have you prepared?
And build muscle memory inside your body,
Mind,
And heart.
For that moment.
That moment after you did the thing.
That moment where you take control.
A pause,
Sit back,
Take a breath,
And just release.
It's so simple.
Let's practice one more time here,
Ready?
Deep breath in.
And letting it go.
We did it.
Wow.
We did the thing.
Heart's smiling.
Yes.
This is the last song this morning.
I'm going to sit back and just let you bask in the frequency of yes,
We did the thing.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear creator.
You made it to the end of another meditation,
And for that I am so grateful.
Maybe you stepped into the invitation today to practice for that moment when you finally did the thing and you're on the other side of the thing,
Whatever the thing is.
And you are celebrating.
Wow!
We did it!
For those that are joining live at the Artist Morning.
We're going to continue this exploration.
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock,
Share a writing prompt on our theme today,
And allow us to continue amplifying the frequency of that moment.
Of course,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on Insight Timer,
You can do the same.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius,
And I will see you next time.
