Good morning and welcome to the Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius and wherever you are in the world,
Whenever you are in the world,
I'm so grateful that you and I get to meditate together this morning.
Our practice today will be simple.
Our practice today will be an invitation to slow down so that we can celebrate,
Support,
And love ourselves.
My personal belief is that each of us have many soulmates and that our first soulmate,
Our most important soulmate,
Is actually our human.
For me,
It's clear that God has a sense of humor.
He really placed this important soulmate directly under our nose our entire lives,
Just in case we forget it's there.
Let's take a moment to connect with our hearts.
Beautiful,
Creative creature that forever literally lives right under our nose.
You're open to it.
Place one or even two hands on your heart gently.
Let's breathe into this glorious space.
Deep breath here,
Breathing into our hearts.
Good morning heart.
I hear you knocking.
Thank you for always being here.
The very beginning of my life to my very last breath.
You,
Beloved,
Are always by my side.
Take a moment to see how that feels.
Try saying love you heart.
Just notice what happens next.
Maybe your heart says something back.
Maybe your heart feels something back.
Maybe something else happens.
Place our hands back down on our slowing everything down.
How fast life can move.
The world is always telling us faster and move forward.
It's available to you here now.
It's to slow down,
To take a moment,
To sit.
Maybe there's a part of you that is enjoying this rest.
Another part of you that is having a bit of a difficult time slowing down.
That's okay.
Creatures of habit used to going fast,
Used to being that person that's taking care of everyone else.
Sometimes it could be hard.
Others take care of you just in case you forgot.
My dear,
You are so worthy of care.
You are so worthy to sit down,
Catch your breath,
And to rest.
I'd like to invite you now to place hands palm down on your thighs.
Really,
Really slowly.
Deeply loving,
Supportive,
And maybe soothing way.
Just rub your legs.
You know of them.
Care about them.
That feels good.
You can keep going and if you'd like to experiment and explore with other places in your body.
Sometimes I'd like to just gently rub my heart,
The sides of my arm.
Right or wrong way of doing this.
Notice what feels good to you.
Open to it,
To yourself.
I see you,
Believe in you.
I'm so proud of you.
Now depending on your background and your life,
Saying these kind things to yourself might be really difficult.
So I just want to say you can go really slow.
You can just listen.
You don't need to say them.
You can always come back to this meditation and try it a second or third time.
Take a deep breath here together.
This is our last song this morning and I want to make sure to leave some space for you and your heart and your human to connect.
To connect.
How would your life change if the soulmate that the world has told us countless times we should be looking for outside of us just happened to be us?
What if your human was your soulmate?
Let's take a moment to land back in our seats,
In our bodies.
Let's take a deep breath to bring our meditation to an end.
Breathing in.
Bravo dear artist.
Bravo dear creator.
Wherever you went,
Whatever you felt or did not feel,
However close you came to your heart and your human,
You made it to the end and for that I'm so grateful.
For those of us that are joining on the live artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and allow us to do some private personal journaling.
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
Of course you can do the same.
Thank you for meditating with me.
My name is Darius and I will see you next time.
