Good morning,
And welcome to the artist's morning.
My name is Darius,
And I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.
Let's begin our practice.
If your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together.
Nice and slow.
Let's start by checking in with our heart.
How is your heart this morning?
There's no right or wrong answer here,
However your heart is doing.
We welcome it.
Taking a few deep breaths into our heart space,
Bringing new,
Fresh energy into your body now.
If there's any place in your body that you're holding a little bit of tension,
For me it's often in my shoulders,
In my forehead,
In my jaw.
The invitation here is to soften gently,
Slowly,
Softening your forehead,
Softening your jaw.
If you're holding any tension in your shoulders,
Taking a nice deep breath and allowing your shoulders to drop,
Imagining that tension just melting away.
And as we go deeper,
You're interested in going deeper.
It's really simple.
Our breath is the vehicle in which we are able to go deeper into our heart space,
Deeper into our being,
Into our dreaming,
Into our desires.
Let's practice that together.
Let's take a nice deep breath in together,
Breathing in,
Hold at the top of your inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
And let it all go.
Continue taking nice deep breaths here,
And a part of the reason why we make some noise with our breath is we are signaling to our mind,
Body,
And spirit that it's safe for us to take up more space.
It's safe for our voice to take up more space here.
Your voice matters.
Your voice matters.
Your vision,
Your ideas matter.
Your creativity matters.
Today's practice is intended to help us expand,
To help us grow,
To help us build confidence and courage and momentum,
To step further,
To become more of who we've always dreamt.
If you are interested in expanding,
If you are interested in growing,
There will be a point at which you have the opportunity to step to the edge of your comfort zone,
And if you choose to step beyond,
To step to the edge of your comfort zone,
And if you choose to step beyond,
Take a few deep breaths here,
Noticing what happens for you in your body when we paint this picture of stepping up to the edge of your current comfort zone,
Feel that experience in your body.
This is the furthest you've ever been.
It's the edge of your comfort zone.
What would you like to do from this place?
What would you like to do from this place?
The edge of your comfort zone is the furthest you've ever been.
For each one of us,
That zone will be different,
And it's not about comparison.
You're on your own journey.
We're imagining your toes are dangling at the edge of the furthest you've ever been,
And here and now,
We will practice together.
Where do you go from here,
Dear artist?
Where do you go from here?
All options are available.
There's nothing you need to do.
Remember we are playing here.
We are exploring here.
There is nothing serious happening here.
If resistance shows up,
If your mind begins to wander,
Take a few deep breaths,
Come back to your heart,
And have some fun.
Ready was not a feeling,
But rather ready was a decision.
What if today you decided you were ready?
You just made a decision that you were ready to step beyond your comfort zone and step into the next version of you.
No attachment to getting it right,
No attachment to the silly concept of perfection.
What if today you decided you were going to let yourself play,
Explore,
Get messy?
This is our last song,
Dear artist.
I'm going to stay quiet and allow you to explore what could be possible if today you decided you were ready and you took a step outside of that current comfort zone.
Bravo,
Dear artist.
Bravo,
Dear creator.
You made it to the end of another meditation,
And for that I am so grateful.
It brings me so much joy.
It's such an honor to be able to journey with you all,
Especially around the topic,
Like expanding our comfort zones and stepping into the next version of who we really are.
What we're talking about here is accessing our dreams,
Our desires,
Our creative spirit,
And building courage to take a step,
Even if it's a baby step,
Forward.
It's one of my all-time favorite topics.
So thank you for being here with me on this journey.
For those that are joining us live at the artist morning,
I'm going to put 20 minutes on the clock and share a journaling prompt to help us continue this exploration.
And of course,
If you're catching us on a replay,
Perhaps on insight timer,
You can do the same.
Thank you once again for meditating with me.
My name is Darius,
And I will see you next time.
