Hi,

My name is Dorese and this is a meditation designed to help ease helplessness,

Heaviness and loneliness that surface from bouts of depression.

Depression tends to creep up during times of overthinking or not living in the present moment.

With all the busyness of our daily lives,

It can be a struggle to remain present.

Nestle into your meditation spot and allow your eyes to close.

Notice where your body is making contact with the support beneath it.

Soften and arrive.

Be in this present moment and draw your awareness to your breath.

In this moment,

You are conscious of your breath.

You are present.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it at the top.

Sip in just a little bit more air and hold.

Then exhale through your mouth.

I would like for you to do this two more times.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it at the top.

Sip in just a little bit more and hold.

And exhale through your mouth.

This time release anything that is weighing heavy on your thoughts or something that is no longer serving you in this life.

Do that one more time.

Deep breath in.

Hold at the top.

Sip in a little more.

Hold and let it go.

When you exhale,

Let that thing dissolve with your breath,

Whatever is weighing heavy on you,

Releasing what is no longer helpful to create space for new stories to come into your life.

Using the breath as a tool for clearing.

You can live in your life without these old stories from the past.

We spend so much time thinking about all the things we don't want in our lives.

We leave no room for what we do want.

The universe is responding to what we focus the most energy on.

And humans are set to a negative default mode.

So it's up to us to shift to a more positive outlook.

And this takes time and practice,

Creating new neural pathways.

Return to your breath.

Watching the chest rise on the inhales and fall on the exhales.

Sensing in potential and possibility.

Exhaling anything from the past.

Using the breath as your anchor to the only thing that is true this moment.

You have a choice as to what you are breathing life into in any given moment.

Our breath is synonymous with the winds of change.

And by establishing a conscious relationship with our breath,

We can choose to live life with more ease and flow.

Draw your full awareness to this point between the nostrils and the upper lip.

The space where your breath flows in and out of the nostrils.

And watch your breath from this space.

Continue this for a few minutes,

Observing this natural cycle.

When your mind wavers,

Which it will,

Redraw your attention to the space beneath the nostrils.

Choose to let other thoughts pass and continue to redirect your focus to your breath.

Breathe in all you desire.

More love.

More worthiness.

Abundance.

Healing.

And truth.

Feel it expand with each breath.

This meditation has been designed to be effective and adaptable to fit any time allotment held by you,

The practitioner.

Continue to remain in this present moment,

Anchored to your breath,

As long as you desire.
