Greetings fellow traveler,
This is Daphne Garrido.
I want to just say thank you so much for joining in on this meditation.
Today our intention is going to be to become very coherent with our hearts and so I'm gonna just take a minute to talk about heart coherence.
There is a wonderful center in California called the Heart Math Institute and basically they have discovered that there is a little brain in your heart and that that little brain can come into a very deep synchronization with your mind and that through that synchronization we can enter elevated states of consciousness that move beyond anxiety,
That move beyond fight-or-flight syndrome,
And we can really get in touch with our hearts in an extremely tangible way.
And so we're gonna do a meditation today focused on activating that for each and every one of us.
And so please come to find a comfortable position where you are seated or lying down and allow your spine to grow straight,
Allow your neck to grow long,
Roll your shoulders down and back,
And lift your heart space.
If you haven't already,
Please close your eyes.
On your next inhalation,
Take a very deep breath in and let it go.
Take another deep breath in and release.
Let's take one more deep breath in all the way and hold.
Relax your entire body and release.
Perfect.
And so let us begin to breathe at a natural pace in an uncontrolled manner.
Simply step back and witness the breath.
Become the observer as you release all control.
And so gratitude is going to be our key to coherence today.
Life can be challenging and overwhelming.
Sometimes it can be hard to find gratitude.
But even if that's the case for you right now,
Find something small like gratitude for the time you have or once shared with a dear friend.
Anything at all.
And whatever comes up for you.
Allow yourself to connect with the truth of your feelings about this object of gratitude beyond any attachment or anxiety.
Just feel the gratefulness that lives within you and is activated by this object.
And so setting that aside for just a moment,
Let us begin to focus on our hearts.
If it feels resonant to you,
I recommend placing a hand on your heart.
And as you focus on this space,
Begin consciously breathing into it.
Now imagine that a light is growing at your heart.
Maybe it's spinning or pulsing.
As you begin breathing deeper and releasing those breaths slower,
Really feel into the energies of your heart space.
Continue to lean into these energies as you breathe deeply.
And now reconnect with the gratitude we sat with earlier.
Bring in the deep feelings of gratitude we conjured up and allow them to pour into your heart.
Breathing deep with slow exhalations,
Continue breathing into your heart.
Feel the energy of gratitude empowering the connection your heart chakra has to the other energy centers of your body.
And feel the intelligence of the heart activating by coming into deep connection with the mind.
Instead of the mind being in control,
Allow a homeostasis to build between your heart and your mind.
And just keep breathing.
Finally now,
Let us release our deep breathing and allow our breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Feel now your heart's energy.
Feel its abundance and its connectivity to the rest of your entire being.
And now move into your day knowing that you can act from the heart,
That you are connected with your heart's intelligence,
And that you have the power to maintain this connection always.
So feel yourself returning to your body.
Allow yourself to gently move and stretch.
Begin to sense the space around you.
Take a deep breath in and out.
And whenever you're ready,
Open your eyes.
