The Way Of Meditation - Simply Observe
Meditation is perhaps the most powerful tool there is when it comes to calling forth the peace, love, joy, harmony, abundance, and wholeness that is inherent within each of us. As such, I have been guided to create this The way of Meditation Series. Each ”session” will begin with a brief teaching around meditation followed by a meditation sitting. I invite you to join me for a beautiful, healing, soothing and empowering moment of becoming still through meditation. Namaste, Daniel

Blessings and welcome to the Wave of Meditation.
My name is Daniel Rochiyo and as always I'm deeply grateful and honored to have you join me that you're choosing to participate in coming back to the nowness of this moment with me.
Because that is what meditation is all about.
It is all about releasing and letting go of our thoughts and opinions and perceptions.
It is all about coming back to that which is,
Observing that which is with no judgment so that we gradually come into the awareness that even though we have a human form,
We are not our thoughts,
We are not our emotions,
We are not our bodies,
We are not our experiences,
But we are the great vast something that experiences this.
We are the consciousness through which all of this flows,
All of these thoughts and all of these feelings and emotions and all of these experiences.
And this is actually the theme for this particular meditation,
To simply observe.
Because we want to be aware that when we move into meditation,
And now we're talking about meditation but this faculty of being able to observe whatever comes up,
It is very valuable and it is a very powerful tool that we can carry with us,
Not even when we're meditating but even outside of meditation,
In our day to day lives,
In every single moment we can stop and we can observe what is going on within us.
But let's return to meditation.
Because when we sit to meditate,
As we become still,
As we sort of release and let go of outer distractions and simply come back to state and place of being,
Inevitably things will come to the surface.
We will become aware of thoughts and memories and judgments and opinions and perceptions and beliefs and stories.
We will become aware of emotions and feelings,
Perhaps resentment or anger or sadness or joy or happiness or jealousy or something else.
And we will become aware of bodily sensations,
Itchings,
Aches,
Pains,
Discomfort or whatever the case may be.
And so the practice is that when we become aware of these,
Rather than investing ourselves in it,
Rather than attaching ourselves to it,
Rather than identifying ourselves with it and giving the whatever experience power to run us and to pull us away from the nowness of this moment,
We can observe it,
Simply observe it.
Allow it to be whatever it is.
We don't need to think anything about it.
We don't need to judge it.
We don't need to label it.
We don't need to call it anything.
We don't need to name it.
And we do not need to let it move us into any kind of action.
We can simply observe it.
And as we observe,
Or as I sometimes call it,
Embrace and allow,
As we observe without judgment,
Whatever is bubbling to the surface,
Eventually will begin to dissolve and be released.
And through our observing and through our not attaching ourselves to it,
Through this process of being released,
Healing happens.
Because this is what healing is.
When we become aware of something,
We embrace it,
We allow it to be what it is so that it can be dissolved,
So that it can be transmuted into the known thingness from which it came.
And meditation from a certain standpoint is a beautiful healing process where we get to simply observe whatever comes up,
Embrace it,
Allow it,
Release it,
Let it go,
And thus heal it.
Thus heal it.
And so as we move into the meditation,
Which we'll do now,
I invite you to simply be,
As always,
We're going to have our attention turned toward our breath.
But if your attention is pulled to whatever thought form or whatever experience or whatever sensation,
Whatever feeling or emotion,
My invitation to you is to just observe it,
Be with it.
Not attach yourself to it,
But just be with it and see what happens.
All right.
So in this moment,
As always,
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
As always,
I invite you to put a smile on your face,
Which lets your body know that all is well,
Lets your body know that it can relax and begin to produce and distribute these beautiful tonic healing chemicals.
And as always,
I invite you to close your eyes.
You can keep your smile,
Close your eyes,
And gently tap between your eyebrows,
Activating that first eye,
That spiritual eye.
And as we tap and as we smile,
I invite you to set an intention for this meditation.
My intentions are always to wake up to who and what I am and to forever allow for greater and greater expressions of that who and what to emerge.
So we can release the tapping.
I invite you to place your hands in your lap,
Palms facing upward,
Thumb and middle finger touching as a sign of receptivity.
And as we turn our attention toward our breath,
We want to be aware that the body is fully capable and able of breathing by itself.
So we get to just observe it and we also want to be aware that we get to observe the four stages of the breath.
The in-breath,
The out-breath,
The space in between in and out-breath,
And the space in between out and in-breath,
Which allows us to keep our attention on the breath with so much greater ease.
And as we take on the feeling tone that all is well,
Let's allow for the peace that follows to move us deep,
Deep,
Deep into the stillness and into the silence.
It is time to Parsi.
And should our attention drift away from the breath,
We gently and lovingly turn it back to the breath and we begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath.
Keep observing and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
Come back to the breath,
Observe and begin again.
As I move us into prayer,
I invite you to remain with your eyes closed,
Your mind open,
Available,
So that the prayer may move into an even higher vibration and even more expanded consciousness.
And so in this moment,
This beautiful,
This glorious,
This magnificent,
Peaceful moment,
How grateful I am to be here.
How grateful I am that I get to spend this moment with you,
That you are joining me in cultivating,
In creating,
In co-creating this field of love and harmony and wholeness and peace.
I'm so grateful for the technology of meditation that allows us to come back to the nowness of this moment,
That allows us to release and let go of the world and its ongoings and doings.
Come back to being,
Come back to being,
Come back to being.
So from this space of gratitude,
I know and I feel the benevolence and the fundamental goodness of Spirit.
I know and I feel that God is all there is,
Eternal,
Infinite,
Omnipresent.
There's nothing outside of God.
There's nothing but Spirit.
And as God is all there is,
It means that Spirit is eternally sourcing and fueling and funding itself,
Guiding and leading and moving itself into ever greater and greater expressions of itself,
In,
As,
And through all of creation,
Which means that right where you are,
In this moment,
In every single moment,
All of that which Spirit is,
Is right where you are.
That you are made in the image and likeness of God,
Which means that you have been given reflective consciousness.
And it is that reflective consciousness,
That gift of independent thinking that allows you to observe whatever you experience,
That allows you to come into the awareness that you are consciousness.
And that things,
That stuff flow through this consciousness,
Stuff that you get to observe,
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Perceptions,
Judgments,
Sensations,
Experiences.
I know and I feel that from this moment on,
Your ability to observe,
Your ability to not attach yourself,
Your ability to unidentify yourself with mental structures,
With emotional structures,
With physical structures,
Is not being increased.
Freedom is emerging right where you are,
And it is emerging out of this ability to observe,
To not be drawn in by whatever you are observing,
By whatever you are experiencing.
So in this moment,
Freedom is right where you are.
Freedom is.
Harmony is.
Peace is.
Wholeness is.
Regardless of circumstances,
Regardless of conditions,
Regardless of experiences,
Regardless of thought patterns,
Or habitual thoughts,
Habitual emotions,
Habitual experiences,
The freedom that is arising within you in this very moment,
It is independent of anything.
It is inherent within you.
It is the essence and the truth of who and what you are.
And so as it is welling up,
It is you who are welling up.
It is more of you who are welling up,
More of you that are coming into expression simply because you're choosing to take ownership over your mind,
Over your attention.
Something wonderful is happening right now.
In this very moment,
Something truly wonderful is happening.
I know it and I feel it.
It cannot be any other way because God is good and God is right where you are.
So something good is happening.
In this moment,
In every moment,
Truly all is well right where you are,
Regardless of conditions,
Regardless of circumstances.
Truly something wonderful is happening right now,
Regardless of conditions,
Regardless of circumstances.
Everything is working for the highest good,
Regardless of conditions,
Regardless of circumstances.
I know it and I feel it and I claim this for you.
I know that it is the truth of who and what you are.
It is the truth of all of creation.
So as we release this word,
I do so fully knowing that in the mind of God,
It's already done and the doneness of it is not demonstrating and manifesting itself here in this dimension.
Such is in grace,
Innocent through you.
Such is in grace.
I know it,
I feel it,
I accept it,
I give thanks for it,
I allow it to be.
So it is,
So be it and so shall it be.
Amen.
Amen,
Ameen,
Ashe,
Ahu,
Otheb,
Shalom,
Zalam,
Hallelujah.
