The Way Of Meditation - Guided Vs. Silent meditation
Meditation is perhaps the most powerful tool there is when it comes to calling forth the peace, love, joy, harmony, abundance, and wholeness that is inherent within each of us. As such, I have been guided to create this The way of Meditation Series. Each ”session” will begin with a brief teaching around meditation followed by a meditation sitting. I invite you to join me for a beautiful, healing, soothing and empowering moment of becoming still through meditation. Namaste Daniel

Blessings and welcome to the Way of Meditation.
My name is Daniel Roqueo and as always I'm deeply grateful and I'm honored and I'm privileged to be joined by you in this moment,
In this glorious moment,
This magnificent moment,
This holy moment.
I thank you for being here.
Before we move into the meditation,
I would like to just briefly touch on the subject guided versus silent meditations.
Guided meditations versus silent meditations.
And as beautiful as guided meditations are and as powerful as they may be in lifting our spirits,
Lifting our conscious,
Expanding our consciousness,
Lifting our vibration,
Allowing us to come into insights and realizations and revelations and allowing us to keep moving forward along the path of freedom and the path of awakening.
They are not really a substitute for silent meditations.
There's a silent meditation in silent meditation.
What happens in that silence is that we come face to face with everything that needs to come to the surface.
All this walking along this path of awakening,
All of the expansion,
All of the unfolding,
All of the growing is about releasing and letting go of the small and the limited.
It may be thought patterns,
It may be habits,
It may be stories,
It may be perceptions as to what should and should not be,
It may be judgments,
It may be emotions,
It can be all manner of things.
But the expansion can only happen when we release something.
And so in the moment of stillness,
As we sit in silent meditation,
A lot of things come to the surface.
When there are no distractions,
When there's nothing for us to hide behind,
But when there is only silence,
And I'm not saying that there is always that,
I'm not saying that the voice in our mind is always quiet,
Because perhaps more often than not,
It is not,
But it's constantly chattering.
But in that silence,
We get to be aware,
We get to observe that chatter,
We get to observe what happens within us.
We get to become aware of these thought forms and all that which no longer serves us,
That which keeps us small,
That which keeps us perhaps feeling like a victim,
Or that which perhaps gets us to experience lack or scarcity.
We get to observe all of that,
And through that observing,
Through becoming aware of it,
And then embracing and allowing it,
We can begin to dissolve,
We can begin to heal it.
We can begin to release and let it go.
So for all the beauty and for all the power there is in a guided meditation,
As it is guided,
As there is something,
Some kind of distraction,
And I'm not saying that the guided meditations are bad distractions,
Because they're not,
They're beautiful,
They're powerful,
They can certainly move us along the path of awakening and move us along the path of freedom,
But there's still a distraction that we get to turn our attention toward.
And as we turn our attention toward something outside of ourselves,
We may not necessarily become aware of what is inside of us.
And so I'm not saying that we are not to go into guided meditations.
I have them,
I use them,
But what I am saying is that we want to have a silent meditation practice as well.
Perhaps a little bit more habitual,
Perhaps a little bit more regular and consistent than our guided meditation practice.
That's all I'm saying.
All right,
So time for a little bit of silent meditation,
A moment of silent meditation.
And so in this moment I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
I invite you to put a smile on your face,
Giving your body permission to release and distribute these healing and tonic chemicals.
I invite you to perhaps close your eyes and gently tap between your eyebrows,
Activating that first eye,
That spiritual eye that allows us to catch that which cannot be caught with our human senses,
Tapping into the infinite and the eternal.
And while we tap,
While we keep tapping,
Let's set an intention for this meditation.
And my intentions are always to wake up to who and what I am and to forever allow for greater and greater expressions of that who and what to emerge.
And you're welcome to join me in these intentions or you're welcome to set your own intentions.
And release the tapping and I invite you to place your hands in your lap,
Palms facing upward,
Thumb and middle finger touching,
As a sign of receptivity.
And as we turn our attention to the breath,
We want to be aware of a couple of things.
First of all,
We want to be aware that the body is fully capable and able of doing the breathing in and of itself,
Which means that there's no need for us to participate in the breathing.
There's no need for us to make the breathing happen.
We can simply relax,
Observe and surrender to the breathing as it happens.
And we also want to be aware that the breath has four stages to it.
And we want to seek to keep our attention on each of these four stages as they happen.
There's the in-breath,
There's the space between in and out-breath,
There's the out-breath,
And then there is the space between the out-breath and in-breath.
So we want to seek to have our attention stayed on each of these four stages.
Taking on the feeling tone that all is well,
Let's give the peace that follows permission to move us deep,
Deep,
Deep into the stillness and into the silence.
Should our thoughts drift away from the breath?
Or actually,
Should our attention drift away from the breath?
Let's give the peace that follows permission to move us deep,
Deep,
Deep into the stillness and into the stillness.
Come back to the breath and begin again.
Let's give the peace that follows permission to move us deep,

As I move us into prayer,
I invite you to remain with your eyes closed,
Your mind open,
Available,
Receptive,
Your being open,
Available,
Receptive,
That you may catch the vibration of this prayer,
Giving you permission to move you into an even higher vibration,
Into an even more expanded consciousness.
And so in this moment,
This deep,
This beautiful,
This wonderful,
This healing,
Peaceful moment,
I'm so,
So,
So grateful for it,
For being here,
For being here with you.
I'm so grateful to be joined in this adventure of stillness.
I'm grateful for your willingness to come back to the nowness of this moment,
Your willingness to release the world,
To let go of the world and come back to a moment of just being,
To step out of the doing and just be.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this participation.
And from this space of gratitude,
I know and I feel that everything,
Everything,
Everything is good.
Simply because God is good.
The fundamental goodness of Spirit is everywhere.
It is right here in this time,
In this space,
And it is everywhere,
In every time,
Every space.
And beyond time and space,
The fundamental goodness of God is fully present.
Because God cannot ever diminish itself,
Spirit cannot ever contradict itself,
Go against itself.
He cannot show up halfway.
But as God is omnipresent,
As God is infinite,
As God is eternal,
The same yesterday,
Today and forever,
It means that in every single being,
In every single object,
In every single space and place,
In all of creation,
The fundamental goodness of God is present.
The infinite abundance of God is present.
The infinite love of God is present.
The infinite harmony and peace and joy of God is fully present.
Right where you are,
Right where I am,
Right here where we are.
Because even though we may seem to be separated,
We are really not.
We are one with the One and we are one with the Whole.
Never separated,
Never set apart,
Never divided,
Never diminished.
But God is showing up.
All of God is showing up,
Right where you are,
Right where I am,
In this moment,
In every moment.
So something truly,
Truly wonderful is in this moment.
Wholeness is in this moment.
Abundance is in this moment.
The is-ness of God is everywhere at all times.
The is-ness of God is everywhere at all times.
Never diminished,
Never contradicted,
Never set apart.
And as we are individualized holographic images,
Projections,
Expressions of the One,
All that which God is,
Is right here where we are.
All of the love,
All of the abundance,
All of the wholeness,
All of the joy,
All of the peace,
It's right here.
So wholeness is here.
It is here.
It is where you are.
It is where I am.
Wholeness is here.
It is you.
It is me.
Abundance is you.
It is me.
We are abundance expressing itself in us and through us.
We are wholeness expressing itself in us and through us.
We are love expressing itself in us and through us.
Harmony expressing itself in us and through us.
So truly all is well right here where we are,
Right where you are,
Right where I am,
Regardless of conditions,
Regardless of circumstances,
Regardless of experiences,
Regardless of challenges.
All is well because God is here.
And where God is,
There's only good because God is only good.
Something wonderful is happening.
Something is working for the highest good,
For you as an individual,
For me as an individual,
For the whole.
I know this.
I feel this.
I allow it to be.
So it is.
So be it.
So shall it be.
Amen.
Amin.
Ashe.
Aho.
Hotep.
Shalom.
Salaam.
Hallelujah.
