Just for today is based on the repetition of the five Usui Reiki Mantras or Principles. These five statements are repeated by the practitioner until the truth of them can be felt and stabilized in the mind and body. However, you don't need to be attuned to Reiki to benefit from this practice. The statements help the meditator recenter their awareness into a liberated more expansive state which allows the flow of vital life force through the system. Just for today,

This beautiful contemplative meditation is derived from the Uzui Reiki tradition.

It's a series of statements that the practitioner will repeat until the principles within the statements are embodied.

But you don't need to be a Reiki practitioner to benefit from the beautiful,

Accessible wisdom within them.

Come as you are to this practice,

And as each statement washes through your awareness,

Feel their vibration and truth,

Believe them,

And know that these are states within you that you can invoke,

Stabilize,

And be.

This is a practice that enables freedom,

Clarity,

And connection with your true self.

Take a moment now to adjust your posture into meditation,

Whether you're seated or lying down.

Move your body to sense into an even placement of weight,

Limbs.

Feel the symmetry in your body,

And just take a few moments to follow your breath.

Feel your inhalation and exhalation becoming longer and deeper,

Softer and more nourishing.

Just for today,

I'm free from anger.

Just for today,

I'm free from worry.

I am grateful for everything.

I am dedicated to my spiritual unfoldment.

I am kind to all beings.

Just for today,

I am free from anger.

Feel how the rhythm of your breath has become smooth and rhythmic.

Feel how your state of being has eased and lightened.

And know that at any time you can invoke these beautiful states of peace,

And loving kindness.

These are your birthright,

Your natural state.
