This visualization is helpful in bypassing the thinking mind and tapping into our intuitive heart space. It invites listeners to imagine a perfect day in the future, be it work or play, and noticing what we may unconsciously want for ourselves. By having a clearer sense of purpose, we can take steps to create this reality in our lives.

This meditation is centered around finding our best future self and best future experience.

It is helpful if you're seeking life's purpose or just trying to determine what you'd like to invite more of into your life.

In this practice,

We're going to quiet our thinking mind and allow our heart space and our intuition to speak.

So at this time,

I invite you to settle in,

Either lying down or remaining seated,

Getting as comfortable as possible,

And if you're comfortable doing so,

Closing your eyes.

Imagine for a moment that you're wrapped in a safe,

Warm cocoon,

And on the inside you feel complete serenity and peace,

And any stresses of the world are on the outside.

Imagine you're calling in your support team around you,

That could be the universe,

Or spirit guides,

Or simply people in your life who you imagine are around you,

Knowing that they are always there to support you.

And on the inside of this cocoon,

In this warm,

Safe space,

Find a nice,

Gentle rhythm to your breath,

Breathing in and breathing out.

With each exhale,

Allowing your body to relax a little deeper,

Allowing your mind to be at rest.

And now imagine that this warm cocoon has started floating through the air,

And it will carry you to a time in the future,

Perhaps it's one year,

Or two years,

Or more.

Allow yourself to simply be in the experience,

And knowing that it's a day of your choosing,

A perfect experience.

Now,

After a while of floating forward,

This cocoon settles and comes to a stop.

In a moment,

It's going to kind of crack open,

Giving you the space to step outside.

When it opens,

Simply become aware,

Without judgment,

Or trying to control the scene.

Notice what you see.

So it begins to gently crack open.

You climb out and step onto the ground.

In your mind's eye,

Look around you,

Taking in everything that you see,

Colors,

Symbols.

Notice whether you're inside or outside.

Notice if there are other people or animals around you.

I'll be quiet for a moment,

As you take in the scene in as much detail as possible.

Start to bring in your other emotions.

What do you hear around you?

What can you smell in the air?

Can you feel yourself standing in the ground beneath you?

You might feel what you're wearing,

And look down and even see what you're wearing.

And possibly notice any tastes,

If that applies to the scene.

Most importantly,

Notice how you feel in your heart space.

Is there a sense of joy and happiness at this day that you've chosen?

What are you doing in this space?

How are you interacting with the world around you?

Now,

Gently guide yourself to about two or three hours into the future.

As you gently glide through time and you settle into your day,

How has it changed?

How are you spending your time?

Take it in with all of your senses.

Is there anything that surprises you about this experience?

And now go ahead and fast forward toward the end of the day.

Perhaps it's night.

And you're finishing up whatever tasks you're doing and moving on to the rest of your evening.

Notice what happens then.

And now it is time to return to the present.

So you make your way back out to where you began this journey,

Climbing into that comfortable cocoon and noticing how it closes and seals,

But you feel completely warm and safe and at ease.

And it gently carries you back into the present moment.

And as it settles,

Take a moment to consider what made this day so important?

Why did I choose this day?

And sit with the questions for just a moment more.

Now,

In your own time,

Allowing that cocoon to open,

Bringing you back into this present day.

If you are unsure about what you've seen,

You might journal about it to revisit in the future.

You can also revisit this exercise in a day where you're on vacation or you're at work and set some intentions around it and repeat it.

But our subconscious gives us vital clues about what we need for ourselves and for our purpose.
