Hi there.

Thank you for joining me for this seasonal grounding and reflection practice in honor of the spring equinox.

If it's a nice day or you've got nice layers,

I invite you to go outside for this practice.

You can pause here if you'd like to make your way to a new space.

Find your comfortable place seated,

Lying down,

And take a few rounds of breath to let yourself arrive.

You can take note of any sounds in your mouth.

Feel the temperature of your skin beneath cloth or exposed to the elements.

And feel your body grounded into the earth.

Spring is a magical time.

Like all of the seasons,

It comes whether we're ready or not.

Ground's still frosty as the green slender peaks of crocuses,

Daffodils,

And hyacinth leaves emerge from the soil.

With lengthening days and warming temperatures,

The buds follow suit,

Uncurling from their protective sleeves,

Sometimes slowly,

Sometimes suddenly opening into brilliant yellows,

Purples,

Whites,

And pinks.

The diverse colors and sizes of our earliest spring flowers bring necessary food for our hungry pollinators,

Whether they are still sleepy bumbling bees or zipping hoverflies.

What are you hungry for,

Yearning for this spring season?

What are you hungry for,

Yearning for this spring season?

Where in your life do you hope to bloom or grow?

Where in your life do you hope to bloom or grow?

And how would you like to invite the sharing of your abundance this spring season?

How would you like to invite the sharing of your abundance this spring season?

I invite you to come back to your breath and consider a seed that you planted this past year that is not quite ready to emerge.

Not all plants bloom yearly,

So if there's something in your life where the roots need to become more established,

Or absorb more sustenance,

Let's take three rounds of breath to honor that reality and to hold patience for that process.

Returning back to your natural breath,

You might bring a hand to your heart to invite compassion and gratitude around the ways that you were able to nourish yourself over the winter season.

Whether that was early dinners,

Midday naps,

Long baths,

Or neighborhood walks with a friend or loved one.

Let's breathe and honor anything you did that replenished your energy and allowed yourself to rest.

Let's breathe and honor anything you did that replenished your energy and allowed yourself to rest.

On your next exhale,

You can relax your arm down by your side.

Before winter was autumn.

While we harvest in autumn,

We also plant.

Take note of any intentions or plans that started back in the fall that are just now starting to emerge.

A hobby,

A job,

A skill,

A relationship.

Take note of any intentions or plans that started back in the fall that are just now starting to emerge.

Take note of any intentions or plans that started back in the fall that are just now starting to emerge.

And sometimes we plant seeds too deep,

Or don't get the soil mixture right.

So let's breathe deeply to honor when things don't emerge like we hoped,

As well as the lessons we can learn from those experiences.

On the spring equinox,

We have even hours of lightness and darkness.

From here,

The days will stretch longer towards summer.

I invite you to set two intentions on this spring equinox.

What is one way you would like to practice rest heading towards the high energy of the summer?

What is one way you would like to practice rest heading towards the high energy of the summer?

Secondly,

What is one seed you'd like to plant and grow into the coming days?

What is one seed you'd like to plant and grow into the coming days?

We'll close our grounding and reflection with three rounds of breath.

First,

Exhaling out all the air in your lungs,

Through your lips.

And then a steady inhale through the nose.

Steady exhale through the mouth.

Deep breath in.

Full breath out.

Breathing in and out.

Thank you.
