Today on Struck Inside Out.
Learning to love the dark.
I know the journeying is hard sometimes.
I know the path to our happiness and clarity can feel too challenging to bear.
I know the light at the end of the road seems to inch further and further away some days.
I know.
On days when we can't bring ourselves to see any good,
To feel a glimpse of relief or a ray of sunlight,
We dip into our darkness.
We lie back into the shadows to avoid the reprieve of the moon.
For there's comfort in our sadness and confusion.
There's a familiar knowing that leads us into the depths of our unknown.
But what about the days when being lost doesn't lead us home?
The moments where we don't surrender to nightfall.
When relinquishing our hope is not our heart's intent.
Where we strive ever so fervently to meet our bliss.
The days where we yearn to understand ourselves and life without searching for answers in the expressions of others,
The tinted hue of a glass,
Or the fleeting escape into tales that don't feel truthful to us.
These are the moments where we are asked to meet ourselves again.
These are our encounters with spirit,
Knowing,
And true understanding.
For in our descent into heartache,
In our fall to sorrow,
We too will rise again.
Our path to awakening is lit by our grievances and illuminated through our trenching toward the undiscovered.
Allow yourself to head in the direction of the unknown.
Loosen your grip on controlling what can't be controlled.
And let life course through you,
Lead you,
And guide you.
Breathe.
Lift your arms above you with palms spread open and tilt your head toward the sky as though the sun's radiant warmth is shining over you.
Feel its rays rest on your skin.
Feel fresh air infusing your spirit with vigor and open your chest to receiving love and unadulterated grace.
Sit here for a moment and let your heart peel away the shields it's guarded itself with in fear of unraveling.
Become a clear vessel for light to beam through you.
Bringing your hands down and placing them on your heart.
Ask the emotions residing within you what messages they have for you.
Why are they visiting and what insights do they contain?
What gifts do they have to offer?
What do they have to offer?
How are they helping you heal the parts of yourself that you didn't know needed healing?
What do they have to offer?
How will you use these emotions to light your path to truth and realization?
What do they have to offer?
Everything we meet,
Every person we encounter,
Every seemingly insignificant happenstance or coincidence,
Our teachers,
They are wise messengers from beyond asking us to listen to them,
Notice them,
Welcome them and love them.
You don't need to run from yourself any longer my love.
You can meet yourself here in both your darkness and your light,
In your sadness and relief,
In your confusion and understanding.
You encompass all of this world.
You always have and you always will.
You always have and you always will.
You always have and you always will.
You always have and you always will.
