Welcome to this meditation,
Which is different from many of the others I've created.
Different because most of the others contain background music to complement the guided narrative.
This one contains no music at all.
It is intended to have us sit in the stillness and the silence of a tranquil pause.
So let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
As you feel the weight of your body settle in against its support,
Allow your hands to rest gently.
Palms open if that feels natural and comfortable.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes and take a slow,
Deep breath in and out as we begin this journey together.
Start by bringing your awareness to the ground beneath you.
Feel the support,
The stability,
The unwavering strength of the earth.
Imagine roots extending from your body,
Reaching deep into the soil,
Anchoring you.
With each breath,
Draw up the earth's energy,
Steady,
Nurturing,
Grounding.
Feel this energy rise up your body,
Moving gently,
Lovingly,
Until it reaches your heart center.
Pause for a moment as you draw in more of this grounding energy with each inhalation,
Filling your heart with its warmth and stability.
Now,
Shift your focus to the top of your head,
Where your crown chakra is located,
Which is one of your important spiritual energy centers.
Visualize,
In your imagination,
A pure,
Radiant,
Violet-colored light hovering just above your head.
Watch as it begins to spin,
Slowly at first,
And then faster and faster,
And then begins to spiral upward,
Higher and higher and higher.
It rises past the clouds,
Beyond the sky,
Into the vastness of space,
And it keeps spiraling,
Higher and higher still,
Until it reaches the purest white light.
This is the light of the greatest good,
The divine source of all energy,
All things.
Now,
Imagine that violet and white light merging,
Integrating,
Swirling together in beautiful harmony.
They begin,
Together,
To spiral slowly downward,
Returning to the top of your head.
Feel this combined energy enter your crown chakra,
Flowing downward,
Past your eyes and your nose and your mouth,
Past your throat,
And down into your heart center,
Where it meets the grounding energy that you drew up from the earth.
This powerful combination fills your entire body and anchors and purifies you.
Feel this union of energies,
Earth and divine,
Filling your heart space and expanding outward in every direction,
Purifying and anchoring you in tranquility.
Continue to breathe naturally and comfortably,
Not forced,
As we begin to become aware and relax our physical being.
Start by bringing focus to the top of the head and scalp area,
And allow the muscles here to soften and relax.
Let any tension melt away,
Almost as though you're being covered in a shower of warm,
Loving,
Cleansing energy.
Move your focus down to your forehead and relax your brow,
And then the muscles around your eyes and the back of your eyes,
And then your nose,
And over to each ear.
Release any tightness.
Let your eyes rest gently.
Let your jaw unclench and drop.
As you continue to sit in this stillness,
In this beautiful silence,
Move down your focus to your neck and throat.
Feel those muscles relax and the tension dissolving.
Move across to your shoulders and let them drop naturally,
Releasing any weight or emotional burden they might carry.
And now,
Down each arm,
Moving slowly past the elbows,
Across the forearms,
And the wrists,
Down and into each finger.
And feel the gentle,
Purifying,
Healing energy in your palms.
They might feel warm or maybe even tingle as you bring your focus to those important energy centers.
And now,
Bring your attention back up from your fingertips,
Back past your wrists,
Up your arms,
Into your chest,
And return to your heart center.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest with each natural,
Comfortable breath.
Feel the energy here,
Calm,
Peaceful,
Beautifully alive.
And breathe,
And give thanks for acknowledging things exactly as they are,
Nothing forced,
Nothing contrived,
Just as they are meant to be in this moment.
Now we continue by moving your focus to your upper abdomen,
Breathing purifying energy into your solar plexus,
The area just above your navel.
And then you slowly continue downward to your lower abdomen,
And then your pelvis,
And your hips.
And you relax these areas,
Letting go of any stored tension,
Tightness,
Or anxiety.
And as you continue to breathe comfortably and naturally,
You move focus slowly down each leg.
Past your thighs and your knees,
Your calves and shins,
Down to your ankles and heels,
All the way to the tips of your toes.
And as you do,
Feel the strength and heaviness of your legs,
Supported by the Earth's anchoring energy.
Continue to breathe naturally and intentionally,
Feeling completely relaxed in a space of peace and stillness.
And as you do,
Recall the powerful combination of energies,
That from the Earth and from the Divine,
That you brought into your heart center at the beginning of this journey today.
Imagine this energy now completely filling your body,
Physically,
Emotionally,
Spiritually,
Every single cell of your being.
And visualize this beautiful,
Healing,
Purifying energy surrounding you like a cocoon of safety,
Warmth,
And love.
And now,
As you continue to breathe,
Allow yourself to simply sit for a few moments in the loveliness of this stillness.
And if thoughts come to mind,
Don't fight them.
Simply acknowledge them and allow them to pass through your mind.
This helps to remove the clutter that naturally collects over the course of days or weeks or even years.
Make good use of this powerful cleansing energy to remove that clutter.
There is no pressure,
There are no expectations,
And there is no judgment.
Simply relax and be in the moment,
In the stillness,
In the silence.
And the next time you hear my voice,
We will close our meditative journey together.
Okay,
It's time to gently leave the silence and the stillness of our being and reacquaint ourselves with our physical surroundings.
I'd like you to take a couple of big,
Deep breaths and exhale fully to help bring yourself back to acknowledgement of your physical body in this space.
And as you do,
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Perhaps roll your wrists,
Roll your shoulders.
Feel the weight of your body against its support.
And when you're ready to return,
Gently open your eyes.
Take another deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale out through your mouth.
And once more,
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
And as you breathe normally and comfortably,
Carry this sense of peace and stillness with you as you move through your day.
And remember,
You can always return to the stillness within you.
It's always there.
It's always waiting for you to remove that clutter that accumulates over the course of your day.
