This meditation is just about fifteen minutes in total. It will ground and anchor you in your breath and help relax you, removing stress from the day. You will then be transported to a peaceful summer cabin along the shore of a tranquil lake at dusk. You will marvel at the night-time sky as you slip deeper into a state of calm and rest. Welcome to this guided meditation,

Which will help relax you and dissolve any stress and strife that might have accumulated throughout the day.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Pull your shoulders and allow them to fall naturally at your sides.

When you're ready,

Gently close your eyes and allow yourself to breathe deeply,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Remind yourself in the beauty of nature's vibrations by being thankful for the life-giving oxygen in the air that you are inhaling.

Let each deep breath align you with those vibrations and bring you deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Feel the stress fading away,

Replaced by a deep sense of peace and tranquility.

Now return to breathing naturally and comfortably as you sink further into the bed or chair that holds you.

Imagine yourself in a serene summer cabin,

Nestled in the woods,

Surrounded by tall,

Majestic trees.

These trees are the elders and guardians of the forest.

They protect you as you enjoy your time in nature.

You observe through a beautiful picture window that the sun has just dipped below the horizon and the sky is painted with soft hues of purple and blue and orange.

The beauty of the evening calls to you and as you step outside onto the inviting front porch of the cabin,

You feel the gentle warmth of the evening air against your skin.

As you take a moment to breathe in,

Notice the earthy scent of the forest mixed with the sweet,

Summer aroma of blooming flowers.

You can hear the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze and the distant call of birds settling in for the night.

You step carefully down the few wooden stairs to the ground below and slowly make your way toward the tranquil lake that you see in front of you.

With each step you take,

Feel the softness and moisture of the grass beneath your feet.

The cool blades caress your skin,

Grounding you in this beautiful moment.

As you walk slowly toward the dock,

You notice the soft glow of dancing fireflies illuminating your path.

Their flickering lights creating a magical atmosphere of peace and joyful solitude.

You arrive safely at the dock,

Which is made of thick,

Heavy planks of wood aged and strong.

Each step on the dock resonates with the solidness of the earth beneath you,

A reminder of the mighty oak trees that once stood tall in this very spot.

At the end of the dock,

You see a sturdy pontoon boat waiting for you.

Its comfortable sofas and soft,

Full pillows invite you aboard to rest and relax.

As you settle into the plush cushions,

Feel their coolness against your skin.

And as you get comfortable,

You feel the boat gently rocking,

Cradling you like an infant in a soothing embrace.

With a soft push,

The boat begins to drift slowly and safely toward the middle of the lake.

As you glide across the tranquil water,

You notice the dusk has surrendered to night.

Twinkling stars and galaxies and planets pepper the majestic palette of nature's artistry.

Continue to breathe,

And as you relax,

You look up and marvel at the breathtaking sky.

Breathe.

Be in the moment.

Be mindful of everything you are experiencing.

Sights,

Sounds,

Smells,

And even the feel of the cool cushions against your skin.

Sit for a few moments in this time.

Relish the experience.

Appreciate the experience.

Each and every star tells a story,

And the vastness of the universe invites you to reflect on your place within it.

As you float,

Listen closely to the sounds around you,

The rhythmic lapping of small waves against the bottom of the metal boat creates a gentle melody harmonizing with the soft calls of peeper frogs preparing for their rest.

Allow these sounds to wash over you,

Beautifully lulling you into a deeper state of relaxation.

With each breath,

Feel the tension in your body melt away,

Replaced by a sense of peace and utter tranquility.

And now,

Take a moment to be fully present in this experience.

As you do,

Breathe in the cool,

Fresh air,

Filled with the scent of the lake and the surrounding woods.

Feel the gentle breeze brushing against your skin,

The softness of the cushions beneath you,

And the stability of the boat supporting you.

Let your mind wander fully to the beauty of this moment.

Appreciate the sights,

The twinkling stars,

The shimmering water lit ever so subtly by moonlight,

And the flickering fireflies that have accompanied you away from the shore.

Embrace the sounds,

The gentle waves,

The chorus of frogs,

The whisper of the wind.

As you sit here,

Again allow yourself to relish this experience.

Know that you are safe,

You are grounded,

And you are connected to the beauty of nature.

Enjoy a few moments now of quiet contemplation,

Where you take deep breaths,

Inhaling the serenity and exhaling any lingering worries.

You'll hear my voice again shortly.

As we begin to close this meditation,

Know that this special place is now yours for you to visit and enjoy whenever you wish and for as long as you would like.

It is your very own safe space in nature,

Which no one can ever take away.

Find comfort in that knowing,

And when you feel ready,

Leave this place and gently bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Feeling the life within you,

And as you begin to gently open your eyes,

Carry this sense of peace and tranquility with you.
