This is a series of short meditations which are guided.
I'll take you through some steps over the next 5-10 minutes for you to relax,
Find peace,
Be mindful and just enjoy the moment.
I think it's important for all meditation that we are intentional and that we ground ourselves.
So find a chair or sofa or area of grass or rock near a border.
Any place where it's comfortable for you to sit.
Keep your back straight and if you can keep your feet flat on the ground.
Think of your body as the center point for energy.
Close your eyes and imagine energy going from the center of your body,
Down your legs,
Out through your feet and toes and into and down into the ground,
Into the earth,
Like the roots of a great tree.
Ground yourself in the energy of the earth and then start again from the center of your body and this time go upward with the energy.
Picture the energy going from the center of your body upward,
Up through your chest and neck and head and out the top of your head,
Ever higher,
Spiraling upward toward the sky,
Toward space,
Toward the heavens.
Consider yourself one with that channel of energy that you just created.
And now take some breaths,
Some intentional breaths and as we inhale through the nose,
We'll hold our breath and then we'll exhale through the mouth.
Inhale through the nose for a count of four,
Hold for a count of four and then exhale for a count of four.
And when we exhale,
Picture all of the negative energy and negative thoughts and toxic thoughts just being expelled out of your mouth.
And similarly when we inhale,
Think about inhaling the best,
White,
Pure,
Strong,
Powerful energy that nature has to offer us.
So let's do a series of breaths.
In for four,
Hold for four and breathe out for four.
And again in for four,
Hold for four and out for four.
Repeat those breaths on your own in a way that you're comfortable.
Each time,
Remembering that you're grounded,
You're the channel between your physical body,
The beauty that is the earth,
The soil,
The ground and the heavens which are spirit,
God,
Positive divine energy.
Breathing in for four,
Hold for four and out for four.
As you're breathing,
Concentrate on the breaths themselves.
If thoughts come into your mind that are disruptive,
As you exhale,
Acknowledge those thoughts and exhale them out as you would with any of the negative energy or toxic energies.
Try to keep your mind as focused on the breathing and the meditation as possible and just enjoy the moment,
Relax,
Be at peace,
Grounded with the earth.
We are one human family and we are all connected.
We are connected through our energy,
Through our love,
Through our souls,
Through our spirits.
As you go forward today,
Think of some acknowledgements,
Envision how you want to behave today.
Repeat after me,
I am good,
I am grounded,
I am loved,
I give love,
I am happy and I am at peace.
Just one more breath in through the nose for four,
Hold for four and then exhale for four.
If your eyes were closed,
Whenever you're ready,
You can open them with a new,
Mindful,
Peaceful energy with which to attack the day.
