I practice Heart Rhythm Meditation which is a Sufi practice focusing on the breath and heartbeat. I love to share meditation with others and love to help people become aware of their hearts.

Recording ended abruptly! Is there a part two or a continuation?

I struggle with my breathing for many reasons, known and unknown. Medical conditions directly affecting my breath regulation also compounds the challenge. I had been trying for a long time to do a prolonged exhale and rarely achieved it. It didn't feel good, either. While listening to a talk from today's released on Insight Timer, I realized that different types of breathing have different effects not only on the spirit and heart, but on the physical body as well. In fact, the naturopathic physician speaking said some types of breathing could actually be damaging or harmful to those with certain medical conditions. As he spoke, one pattern - square breathing - was given a name. This is the style of breathing I currently use for my long walks, and used during my runs/marches in the Army. I tried a meditation that way and it went much better for me. Unfortunately, I still have a tough time getting the biomechanics of breathing down. I told myself I had a major breakthrough, be patient for the next one. And here came this track. 😊 My rhythm is ever so much better now! I still have to truly focus on where my body expands and contracts from initially to correct that, but if that is the only thing concerning me, I consider that to be no trouble at all. Thank you for this meditation, which has already been four life-changing minutes for me. Thank you. Bookmarked and downloaded this for frequent use. I see the light in you. 🤲❤️🤲
