Good morning.
Welcome to the Contemplative Sciences Center's Virtual Meditation on the Lawn Mondays.
I'm Vivian Fegans,
The Events Coordinator at CSC.
I'll be doing a Kundalini Yoga Moving Meditation with you today.
It's called Meditation into Being,
I Am,
I Am.
The mantra I Am is a self-affirmation.
I Am,
I Am,
I Am,
I Am.
And it reconnects the relationship between our finite self and our infinite self.
It's a reminder of your true identity with your infinite being or spirit.
The hand and mantra move in rhythm,
Strengthening your self-awareness and expansion.
So before we get started,
I'd just like to take for us to take in a deep yogic cleansing breath.
Let's do that twice.
So inhale all the way in through the nose and then exhale all the way out completely through the mouth.
Good.
Now that has focused us so that we will get started and just go right through this brief meditation.
So the right hand position is going to be,
Looks like this.
So your thumb tip and index finger are just connect,
Just touching at the end.
And you're just going to lay your right hand.
If you're sitting in easy pose on a mat or in a comfortable chair,
Either way,
You can just lay your right hand on your knee or just in your lap if you're in a chair.
And your left hand is the hand that does the movement.
So you start off with the hand,
Left hand,
Six inches in front of the heart center.
And when you bring it into four inches,
You say,
I am.
Take it out to 12 inches.
I am.
Bring it back in.
So it's six inches.
Let's try it.
Bring it into four inches.
I am out to 12 inches.
Inhale just a bit.
Back to six inches and I am.
It's a little bit tricky,
But you'll get into the rhythm of it.
And when you're coming in from the 12 inches,
So when you go,
I am,
I am and bring it in,
You can in that pause,
If you want to,
You can whisper affirming words that may fit your own personal situation.
It could be anything beautiful.
I am beautiful.
I am blissful.
I am joyful.
Whatever fits your situation,
I invite you to do that.
Or you can just allow the vibration of I am to just hold this meditation.
Let's get ready to begin.
I should be closed.
Hands at six inches.
Bring it into four to begin.
I am 12.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.

I am.
I am.
Hold the hand six inches from the heart.
Inhale.
Check your posture,
Make sure you're nice and straight.
And hold that breath in,
Holding in,
Holding in the sensation of expansion.
Now exhale through the mouth.
And still six inches from the heart.
Inhale again,
Deeply fully,
The chest is high,
With an open heart,
Inhale.
Hold the breath in,
And release it powerfully through the nose.
Exhale completely one more time.
Inhale through the nose,
Chest is high,
You're feeling expanded.
Release the breath through the mouth.
You can relax your hand down and kind of shake your fingers you can just place them in a comfortable position the hands in the lap,
Or on the knees,
If you're sitting in easy pose.
Eyes are still closed.
Bring both of your hands into the center of your chest.
One hand over the other.
Imagine that you have a huge,
Bright,
Glittering sun in the middle of your chest.
And your breath is your normal pattern.
And gently bring your hands into prayer pose now in the center.
With a slight weight,
Pressing on your hands on the two palms together.
And take this moment to just honor yourself for showing up and honor yourself for showing gratitude and honor your infinite being.
Thank you.
Thank you all so much for joining me this morning.
I hope you have a wonderful day,
And an elevated week.
Sat Naam.
Thank you.
