Often, when you seek the comfort of others, what you are really seeking is someone to hold space for you. You are seeking someone to validate your thoughts and feelings. In this practice, allow yourself to be held in a space of unconditional listening and love.

Often when we seek the comfort of others,

What we are seeking is someone to hold space for us,

Someone to validate our thoughts and our feelings.

Allow this space to do that for you.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself sitting in a dark space.

You look in front of you and see a door.

Approach the door and open it.

As you look through the door,

You see a room on the other side.

This room feels safe.

It feels comfortable.

Enter the room now.

You look around the room,

It is safe,

It is comfortable.

You feel as though you can say anything in this room.

Begin to think,

Feel,

And say anything that you may need to release,

Any thoughts you would like to share,

Any emotions you may be feeling,

Anything at all.

Continue to allow this space to hold you,

To wrap you in a profound sense of understanding and acceptance.

It is time to leave this room.

Come back anytime you need to reconnect with this unconditional space of love and listening.

As you walk over to the door,

Pause for a moment,

Giving thanks and gratitude for the space today.

Walk through the door and close it gently,

Returning back to the place you began.

You are heard.

You are accepted.

You are loved.
