Join Kai (they/them) from Courage of Care in a practice that brings us home to ourselves and our bodies. As they say at the close of this practice, "Remembering that your body is always with you. A simple checking in with what is here in different parts of your body, both energetic and physical. You are worthy and deserving of taking time to be with your beautiful embodiment every day, there is always time for you here, at home, in your body."

Find a comfortable position.

This can be seated,

Laying down,

Standing,

Or in movement.

Take a few moments to arrange yourself so you're as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

You can do this practice with your eyes opened or closed.

So we'll begin here by taking five slow,

Deep,

Cleansing breaths.

See if you can make your exhale a bit longer than your inhale.

With each out breath,

Explore relaxing or releasing further into the support of your chair or your cushion.

Or the ground beneath you.

If you notice any holding or tension in any area of the body,

See if you can allow that tension to relax or release with each exhale without forcing.

We're arriving here in our bodies,

Resilient and strong.

These bodies that have kept us alive,

Kept us safe,

That have been a place of refuge even when the external world has been extraordinarily hard to exist in at times.

Now bring your awareness to the crown of your head.

Imagine warm honey or warm ocean water or whatever other cleansing entity feels safe and nourishing to you,

Dripping at the crown of your head.

Cleansing you,

Holding you,

Celebrating you.

What is here in the crown,

In this mind?

What stories keep visiting you?

What inner dialogue lives here?

Perhaps there's this felt sense that your to-do list keeps getting longer.

Or that old narratives keep visiting you in moments of stress or loneliness.

Or perhaps you're replaying memories of joy or loving here.

Whatever is here,

We welcome it.

It is safe here.

You can be whoever you are right now in this moment here.

Your mind has been with you since you first took form and will be with you until the end.

You can be you here.

You're enough.

Now bring your awareness to your throat.

Imagine this blissful nectar,

This warm honey dripping to your throat center.

Cleansing you,

Holding you,

Celebrating you.

What is here in the throat,

In your voice?

What words do you need to say?

What truths must you speak even if you're terrified?

What gifts can you offer the collective with your wisdom,

With your poetry,

With your song?

Whatever is here is welcome.

It is safe here.

You can be whoever you are right now in this very moment right here.

Your voice,

Both the inner and the outer,

Have been with you since your consciousness took form in this current embodiment and will be with you until the very end.

You can be you here.

You can speak your deepest truths here.

You're safe.

Now bring your awareness to your chest.

Imagine this delicious,

Soothing,

Warm nectar flowing here,

Dripping to your heart.

Cleansing you,

Holding you,

Celebrating you.

Your heart,

Where your beautiful ocean,

Your emotion,

Your love expresses.

The place where you feel is the place where you belong.

What is here in your chest,

In your heart?

What past hurts still linger?

What yearning or craving remains?

What loving feelings are expanding and flowing out of your chest?

Whatever is here is welcome.

It is safe here.

You can feel whatever you need to here.

Right now,

In this moment,

You're here in your heart and your home.

Your heart has been with you,

Feeling you,

Since your energy took this form and will be with you until the end.

You can be here in your heart,

In your feelings.

You are safe and you belong.

Now bring your awareness to your diaphragm.

Imagine the soothing,

Warm honey dripping to your diaphragm,

Cleansing you,

Holding you,

Celebrating you.

Your center,

Where all parts of you converge and express and make movement.

What is here in your center,

Your belly,

Your diaphragm?

What has taken shape here and has left you feeling heavy?

What do you hold onto because you feel that no one can hold it for you?

What if we could just set it down right now,

Just for this moment?

What levity is wanting to take shape?

What would it feel like to let some of it go that lives here,

Just for right now?

Whatever is here is welcome.

It is safe here.

You can be whoever you need to be here,

Right here and right now.

Your center has been with you since the first time you took this form and will be with you until the end.

You can be you here.

You are safe.

Now bring your awareness to your root.

Imagine this warm nectar flowing here,

Cleansing you,

Holding you,

Celebrating you.

Your root,

Your hips,

Your pelvis,

Where you feel your essence,

Your life force.

What is here in your root?

Do you hold tension here?

Perhaps there is this sense of unworthiness or shame here.

Or maybe there is this deep sense of awe.

Whatever is here is welcome.

It is safe here.

You can be whoever you need to be here,

Right here and right now.

Your root has been with you since the beginning and will stay with you until the end.

You can be you here.

You belong here.

You're home.

Now bring your awareness to your feet.

If it's accessible to you,

Feel the earth or the grounds beneath your feet now.

Imagine that warm honey dripping to your feet out onto the earth,

Cleansing you,

Holding you,

Celebrating you.

Your feet that hold you and guide you on all of your journeys.

What is here in your feet?

What keeps you from feeling how deeply connected you are to the earth beneath you?

What keeps you going?

What moves you?

Whatever is here is welcome.

It is safe here.

You can move,

Be,

And feel whatever you need to here.

You can be you here.

You can move how you need to.

You belong here.

You are safe.

Now take a few moments to notice what qualities are here with you,

Embodying you,

And breathing you right now.

Perhaps there are qualities like warmth or openness,

Spaciousness,

Freedom,

Ease.

Notice the ways in which your body itself takes joy in you being here,

In you being you.

Now explore allowing yourself to settle into the qualities even more.

See what it's like to imagine yourself being enveloped and embraced by or infused with the qualities such as warmth,

Care,

Openness,

Or love.

Let yourself relax and release as much as possible into the feeling of being held and nurtured by your body.

And when you're ready,

You can take a moment to bring this practice to a close in whatever way feels most honorable to you.

If you wish,

You may thank your body for holding and nurturing you.

And as you bring this practice to a close,

See if you can allow whatever benefits that may have emerged from this practice to continue to resonate with you as you go about your day,

Remembering that your body is always with you.

Remember that this practice can be visited multiple times a day.

A simple checking in with what is here in different parts of your body,

Both energetic and physically.

You are worthy and deserving of taking time to be with your beautiful embodiment every day.

There's always time for you here at home in your body.
