Get into a comfortable seated position.
Whatever your meditation practice looks like for you,
Then please honor that.
So get yourself comfortable.
We're going to dive into disassociation today.
Rescripting,
Removal of something from your past.
Make sure that you close down your eyes if you haven't done so already.
Close out the rest of the world.
Start to slow down your breathing.
Take long,
Slow,
Even breaths.
Nice breath in,
Nice even breath out.
See if you can make your breath circular,
So not too much space in between.
Nice breath in,
All the way down to your abdomen,
And nice breath out.
Soften your shoulders,
Relax your face.
I'd like you to imagine that you're standing,
Looking at yourself in the mirror.
A big,
Plain,
Nondescript mirror.
You can see your face and your upper body as if it was a bathroom mirror.
That kind of feel to it.
The mirror is very clean,
It's very clear,
You can see your own reflection in it.
We're so that you can have a form of divide and separation from yourself,
And that which we are going to dive into.
You're safe.
All is well.
And as you stare at the mirror and you stare at yourself,
You make the declaration that you're going to heal a part of your past today.
Give yourself a little smile.
Make sure that your posture is nice and relaxed and you're comfortable.
Staring at the reflection of you in the mirror,
Allow it to go slightly blurry,
As if you're staring into your mind.
Let yourself think about an event from the past.
Maybe you'd want to close your eyes in this imaginary scenario.
Closing your eyes down for a minute so it's easier to dive into the mind.
Dive into your mind and think about something that you would like to rescript,
Something that you would like to change the energy of,
An event that happened to you in the past.
And when that event comes,
That thought comes,
That scene comes in your mind,
Open your eyes and you stare into the mirror,
You can see it there as if it's going on right there in front of you.
You're back there in time,
Watching,
Watching you in that situation.
But there's a separation and you know that this is just a thought,
This is just a vision.
It's not real,
It's not happening right now.
You're just reclaiming it so that you can heal it.
So see it in the mirror.
Notice that it's in full colour.
Notice that it's intense.
But you're still okay,
You're still safe,
You're calm.
You're just watching.
You're separate,
Remember.
So important to remember you're separate.
But it's there and it's like it's happening right there again.
But now you are going to change it.
You're going to look at it and with all the growth and all the wisdom and all the knowledge that you've gathered since this event,
You're going to look at it and you're going to start to watch the colours fade on it first of all.
Watch it go from colour to dim and then watch it dim even more until it eventually,
What you're watching goes to black and white,
Washed out.
But it's still there.
But it's washed out.
It's not as bright.
It's not as in your face.
It's just dull now.
Then you step back a step away from the mirror,
And it pretty much looks the same.
Then you choose to step back two or three steps.
And you can start to feel a little bit of distance between you and this scene in front of you that's black and white.
It's not got that much about it.
Colourwise,
It's kind of boring.
You feel a distance,
But it's still clear.
You can still see it.
So you step back even more,
Maybe five steps.
Now it's further away.
And as you move further away,
You can feel the separation from you and the scene.
It's like that magnetic pull that was there when it was close and it was in front of you.
That feeling that you felt when you saw it again.
An emotion that sends that energy in your body.
It's less and less.
Every time you step back,
You step back even further,
And you step back even further,
And it's getting smaller and more and more non-important.
And you step back even more,
And you feel big and tall and strong and empowered.
And you stop at this distance,
And you look at it far away,
And you think,
Yeah,
It's kind of small,
Unimportant,
Has no pull,
Because I can move away.
I am in charge.
So you step back 10 steps now.
10,
9,
Step further back,
8,
7,
Going backwards more and more,
6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
And you see it there,
Like a tiny,
Tiny little mirror,
Way,
Way,
Way in front.
And the black and white image is just a blob.
Can't make anything out in it anymore.
Can't make it out.
There's no point in trying.
It's like it doesn't really interest you anymore.
And you feel your own body.
You feel this sense of distance.
You see clearly how you've removed yourself from it,
Just like that.
It doesn't look like anything.
It's all the way there in the distance,
All the way there out of your field,
Of who you are now in this moment standing.
You decide to take a couple more steps back to the point where you can't even see it.
There's no mirror.
There's no blob.
There's just space.
Empty space.
And you notice your heart feels good.
Your shoulders don't feel so heavy.
Your body feels light.
Your body feels energized.
A little bit like Superman or Wonder Woman.
You're standing there as if to say,
Yeah,
Whatever,
Whatever,
Dude,
Take that.
Let yourself smile.
Let yourself feel good about what you just did.
And if you want to,
You can imagine a door over there on the right.
Behind that door is another mirror,
Just like the one that you had before,
But different.
It's a different mirror.
You can take the challenge and go there and let go of something else from your past if you want to.
Or you can just know that it's there if you wanted to.
But right now,
I want you to just really feel a complete separation.
Acknowledge it's not on your skin.
It's not in your body.
It's not in your emotions,
Your energy.
It's just gone.
It's insignificant.
And if that image ever flashes in the mirror of your mind again,
All you'll see is a tiny little blob of nothingness that doesn't require any of your present awareness or attention.
Now,
Do you want to feel even more empowered and do that again?
Let's go through the door.
When I count to three,
On one,
You'll open it.
On two,
You'll walk through it.
And on three,
You'll close it behind you and find yourself staring in another bathroom mirror.
One,
Two,
Three.
Just acknowledge your reflection.
Make sure that you're completely in front of the mirror and you see yourself again.
Maybe you see yourself just a little bit cuter,
A little bit lighter,
A little bit more aliveness in your eyes this time.
But we have a little bit more work to do.
So imagine that you're closing your eyes down for a second.
Okay,
Mind,
Show me something that I need to let go of so I can have peace.
Show me.
Let your mind take you to another time and place,
Another event,
Another memory.
And when you have it in your head,
Open your eyes and watch it there.
Remember your separation,
But know that it's there.
It's bright.
It's in your face.
You can see it.
You can sense it.
You can feel it.
You can feel the pain in it.
But you're separate,
Remember.
But it's there.
It's tangible.
Watch as you go into action.
Watch as you take over and take back.
Watch the colors start to fade.
Let them get duller and duller.
Let them turn to black and white.
Step back three paces.
You see it still.
It's clear still.
It's not as powerful.
It's black and white,
But yet still got a kick.
You can still make it out.
It still has a pull on you.
You see it.
You remember it.
You feel it.
But you step back a couple more steps,
A couple more steps until you start to feel this distance,
This lack of magnetic pull.
Take a big breath,
Please.
A really big,
Deep breath.
Breathe in and feel as you pull away from it.
Physically feel it tearing off you as you step further back and further back,
Further back.
Let's do those 10 steps back.
10,
9,
It's getting smaller and smaller,
Further away.
8,
Fuzzier and fuzzier.
7,
6,
5,
4,
It's barely there.
3,
2,
1.
Just this tiny,
Insignificant little blob is still there.
You can see it,
But it's so small,
So unimportant.
You can feel the lightness in your shoulders.
Let your chest open a bit more.
Breathe a bit deeper.
Feel the space in yourself.
And then let's completely squish it.
Take a couple more steps backwards until it completely disappears out of your view and all you're left with is just space.
Open,
Clean,
Fresh space.
Breathe it in.
Allow your body to feel open and spacious and expansive.
Feel relief.
Just feel the stillness inside,
The space,
The peace,
A feeling of calm,
Empty space.
If you wanted to,
You could probably find all sorts of things in the drawers and the wardrobes and everything behind you,
But that's okay right now.
Right now we're looking at space.
And you're proud of yourself because you've took back your power and you found something you can do to heal yourself,
To let go,
To re-script,
To change anything that stops you from feeling your inner peace.
When I count to three,
I'm going to click my fingers and you can open your eyes and come back into your present moment with a new tool under your belt that you can use whenever you need to.
One,
Two,
Three.
Feeling good,
Knowing that you're capable and you're worthy and you matter.
Namaste,
My friends.
