
Relaxing Practice For Living An Authentic Life
If you need to relax, unwind, renew and cleanse this meditation is perfect. To live an Authentic Life we need to make sure all of our basic needs are met. We need balance, safety, change, love, stimulus, growth etc! This meditation covers all of that and more, leaving you feeling whole and ready to move forward.

Welcome to Meditation with Kori.
This meditation is all about getting you deeply relaxed,
Feeling good,
Releasing blockages that you no longer need and also most importantly making you feel that you deserve to live an authentic life.
Okay,
Let's meditate.
Make sure that you lay down and you get comfortable.
You're going to let your body completely relax during this meditation.
So lay down on something soft,
Your couch,
Your bed.
Lay with your arms slightly out to your side with your hands open,
Palms ready to receive.
Put some space between your legs and allow your feet to just fall to the sides and relax.
Close your eyes and just take a breath.
Take that first breath so that you become aware of your breath.
The breath is the most important thing during meditation.
It can take you into different vibrations and different dimensions if used correctly.
All you need to do right now is just breathe and start to focus on your breath.
Let the world around you start to disappear.
The walls,
The structure,
Your day,
Wherever you are,
Let all of that go and focus solely on the quiet that the darkness brings with your eyes closed and your breath.
Just breathe normal,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Be aware of the sensations of what it feels like to breathe in through your nose as the air moves in to the back of your throat and down into your lungs.
Then pay attention to the breath as you breathe out,
The warmth,
The release,
How your body sinks into the earth when you exhale.
Everything is starting to slow down.
This is your time to completely relax,
Your time to let go of your world,
Let go of your reality and just be present in this exact moment and breath.
Mindfully take your breath deeper into your body.
So see it going down into the depths of your stomach,
Down into the depths of your hips.
Breathe longer and slower with more intent.
Use your mind and your inner eye,
The seat of the soul and start to see in your mind that the breath is traveling through the body with purpose.
When you breathe in,
Imagine the breath going down into your lungs,
Down lower,
Deeper into your abdomen,
Down into your legs,
Your arms.
See the breath traveling through the body,
Penetrating through the cells,
The bones,
The muscles.
Use your mind and see the breath traveling all the way down to your feet and then be present in any sensations that you feel in your feet.
Put all of your focus right there and just breathe into that part of your body.
Notice how your whole body is starting to soften and relax already.
Just allow yourself to go with it.
Allow the relaxation to start to take over and soothe your entire body.
Use the power of your mind and tell your feet it's time to get heavy and relax and feel how the energy shifts and changes in that part of your body,
How it listens and pays attention.
Let your feet get heavy.
Let your feet completely relax.
Your ankles,
Your lower legs.
Move your attention up into your knees and feel the relaxation traveling into the area of your body that you focus on.
Let your knees get heavy and relax.
Your thighs,
Your hips and the base of your spine all drop lower and fall deeper into the earth.
It feels really good to just let your body get heavy and sleepy.
Every time you exhale you release tension and stress and any energy in your body that no longer serves you.
Without even thinking about it every single exhalation helps you to relax.
Using your imagination at this point imagine that rather than laying wherever it is that you are in this moment you're actually laying in the middle of nowhere on the grass.
Imagine that you feel the grass underneath your body.
It's soft and warmed by the sun.
You smell it.
If you move your fingers you can feel the blades of grass.
It feels good to be laying on the earth connected at peace.
Your whole body relaxes even deeper into the thought of just laying in the sunshine on this peaceful quiet day.
You imagine in your mind that the sky is the most perfect sky you've ever seen.
It's just the right shade of blue.
There's just enough clouds and birds.
There's no one around.
This is your special sacred place.
Feels good to be here and relax.
As you lay on the grass you let your abdomen your ribs,
Heart,
Lungs,
Everything slow down.
Notice how the muscles soften in your chest when you exhale and let your shoulders fall deeper into the earth.
Notice how it feels calming and relaxing.
Allow any tension in your shoulders to just start to melt away with every breath they soften and relax.
The back of your head sinks deeper into the earth.
Your forehead relaxes,
Releases any tension.
Your eyes soften and relax.
Your cheeks,
Jaw,
Tongue all soften and relax.
All the tiny little muscles in your face get quiet and sleepy.
Remember your physical body in this deeper state of relaxation.
You allow yourself to start to imagine leaving that part of you behind,
Standing up and starting to slowly walk forward on the grass.
Feeling the grass and the earth underneath your feet connecting to the earth,
Grounding.
You see in that as you look forward there in the distance that there is a lake,
A big wide open lake and you start to walk towards it.
The lake is still,
So still,
Barely any ripples at all.
You can see the reflection of the sky and the sun and the clouds there on the surface of the lake.
It's calm and quiet and so clear.
The water is the clearest you've ever seen.
It looks refreshing and inviting.
You walk up,
You take a couple of steps and you feel the water around your feet.
It's the perfect temperature.
Cool but not too cold.
It's warmed by the sun slightly and you look down and see your toes through the water,
Glistening on the stones and the pebbles and the earth.
You walk deeper up to your knees,
Up to your thighs.
It feels amazing,
Refreshing,
Cleansing.
As the water reaches the base of your spine it sends tingling sensations all the way up and out of your crown at the top of your head.
You can feel the life force in the water and the life force running through your body.
You know that standing here in this lake is going to completely renew your current state of being.
You turn around and let yourself fall backwards gently.
It feels really good to just let your body float on the surface of the water.
Cleansing and refreshing and clean.
You look up at the sky and just watch as the clouds move by slowly.
You feel completely safe,
Supported and at peace as you just lay and float and let your body become weightless.
You notice how the water and the energy of the water starts to penetrate in through your skin,
Filling your cells,
Filling your mind with all the things that you need.
Your basic needs are starting to become very clear.
Everything that you need to live your authentic self is right here in this space.
The first thing that comes to you is the overwhelming feeling of safety.
You are safe.
You're supported,
You're stable,
You are safe.
Let your body feel safe.
No anxiety,
No stress.
Just feel and absorb the energy.
As you float,
You have a knowing that you need and require change and stimulus in your life.
And as you lay in the lake,
This comes to you clearly.
Let yourself be open to change.
Allow yourself to feel the bubbles of excitement about what you can start new tomorrow with your life.
What you can change.
What can you attract into your life that will stimulate your body and your mind and make you feel alive.
Allow yourself to be open to change,
To be excited.
In your heart and in your head,
You recognize that you are worthy.
Let yourself be open to change.
Let your entire body absorb the energy.
I am worthy.
I am loved.
Relax into those emotions,
Into those feelings and accept them.
Know that you are worthy and you are open.
Tell yourself,
I am here for growth.
I am open to grow,
Expand,
Evolve.
Allow your mind to show you images of your growth,
The areas of your life.
And then finally,
The last message that comes to you from the lake is an acceptance that you're here and you're connected to everything on this planet.
You're connected to everything beyond this planet.
You are here to contribute,
To give with love without expecting anything in return.
You do make contribution to this earth.
You do give willingly.
Open your heart and let that part of you grow and expand.
Feel connected,
Completely connected,
Supported,
Safe and loved.
Raise your body up out of the lake.
Stand back on your feet and feel the connection with the earth.
Walk out of the water,
Onto the grass and walk ten steps forward.
By the time I reach ten,
You can open your eyes and go about your day feeling complete and whole,
Knowing you can live authentically.
Or you can keep your eyes closed,
Let your body fully let go and fall into sweet,
Sweet dreams.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
