Let's see if we can heal some of those period pains together.

Lay down on your bed.

Choose a side that feels comfortable for you.

Bring your knees up towards your tummy so you're lying in a fetal position.

It feels really good to snuggle into a pillow that you can push onto your tummy to support it or even better if you have a hot pad.

Put the hot pad on your tummy and then cuddle into a pillow so you can pull it nice and close.

Close your eyes and just settle into that position.

Pull your attention away from your abdomen and the discomfort that you're feeling there and put all of your focus onto your breath for a little bit.

Make your breath longer and slower and deeper.

Taking nice long slow deep breaths in and out.

Simply pay attention to everything about your breath.

The more focus you put on your breath for a moment,

The more focus you pull away from your tummy.

So feel your breath.

Feel it going in through your nose.

When you breathe out,

Notice how warm your breath is on your nostrils.

When you breathe in,

Watch how your chest expands and your tummy expands.

When you breathe out,

How your abdomen naturally pulls back closer to your spine and your chest sinks and relaxes.

Go inside of your body,

Let go of everything around you.

Pull your attention inside of your body and see if you can start to flow on your breath.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Just like waves of the ocean coming in up onto the beach and then pulling back into the sea.

Let the rhythm of your breath naturally start to relax your body a bit more.

Notice your body sinking deeper into your bed or the couch wherever you're laying.

Relax.

Start to try and relax.

Now putting more intention onto your breath,

Breathe down into your abdomen.

When you breathe in,

Breathe all the way down into your uterus,

Bringing oxygen and loving breath,

Feeling intentions down into that part of your body.

Starting to breathe into your womb,

Your sacred space.

You have so much energy and life force.

So much of your body's attention is there currently right now while you're on your cycle.

Focus on breathing in relaxation.

Really imagine that you're breathing in this relaxing warm breath down into your womb.

Every time the breath flows into your womb,

Flows around the uterus and your ovaries,

It softens the muscle.

It relaxes the walls of your uterus.

When you breathe out,

Let everything soften just a little bit more,

Releasing the tension and the tightness in the muscles.

Taking that long,

Slow,

Deep breath flowing through your body,

Down into your uterus,

Softening the muscles.

Breathing out the tension.

Just relax.

Breathe out the tension and the tightness.

This next breath,

See it flowing through your body down into the muscles at the base of your spine,

Around your lower back,

Your middle back.

Breathing relaxation down into your back.

Imagine it's flowing into all of the places in your back that feel full of that dull,

Aching pain.

Breathe into that pain.

See the relaxation of your breath softening the muscles in your back.

And breathing out,

Releasing the tension and the tightness.

You're using your breath to soften and relax your shoulders.

You're using your breath to soften and relax your jaw.

The pain can cause tightness in all different areas of our body.

Clenching your teeth,

Causing tension around your temples,

Your shoulders.

Keep breathing in with long,

Slow,

Deep breaths,

That relaxation.

Let's put a color on the relaxation.

Allow a color to come into your mind.

It doesn't matter if it changes at different points,

But see a color in your mind.

Allow the color to fill the space in front of your eyes.

So it mixes in with the darkness.

Now use the color with your breath.

Imagine your breath is that color.

Breathe the color down through your throat,

Down into your lungs,

Your uterus,

Down into your vagina.

Imagine that whole area of your body is filling with this healing,

Relaxing color.

The color is softening the tissues.

It's relaxing the muscles.

Breathe this magical color down into the muscles in your back,

Around your hips.

Breathe the color across the back of your shoulders.

Softening and relaxing,

Melting away all of the pain and the tension.

You can feel the pain easing.

You can feel the tension leaving your body every time you exhale.

Imagine the color is creating heat.

Your breath is creating heat in your body,

Warming your abdomen,

Warming the muscles in your back.

Softening,

Relaxing,

Releasing the pain.

Keep breathing out the pain.

Relax your whole body.

Let yourself be comfortable.

Let your body sink deeper and deeper with every breath.

Giving yourself some love,

Healing yourself with your breath and your mind's intention,

The power of your mind and what you're capable of doing for your body.

Lay here in this position,

Holding yourself in this sacred place for as long as you need to.

Breathing love,

Relaxation and healing down into your uterus.

This was so soothing! I really appreciate the soft and slow speaking. As well as the dance between distractions used and guidance back to the womb, really helped decrease my pain on a hard day ❤️ thank you

I didn’t necessarily feel much relief from my pain, but it was actually really good to be conscious and intentional about this part of my cycle. To bring control (the breathe and sending energy to my womb) into something I can’t control.

Helps me every time! Btw, are you British? Sometimes it sounds like you have an accent and other times it doesn’t. You also say mum instead of mom, and bin instead of trash can.
