Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Climb into your bed and make sure that you're super,
Super comfortable.
Check that everything is just right in your room.
The lights are just right.
You're wearing your cozy,
Comfy pajamas.
And all is well in the world.
So that you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
Closing down your eyes if you haven't done so already,
My little friend.
It's time to close your eyes.
It's time to let your body stay still and quiet.
No more whittling,
No more moving.
Try and get in a comfy,
Cozy position so that you can be still and quiet.
With your eyes closed,
I'd like you to imagine that we're going on a really nice,
Peaceful walk through the park.
We're going on a walk through the park and we're heading towards a really,
Really cute,
Quaint pond in the middle of the village.
We have to walk through the park first of all.
It's a hot,
Sunny day.
So I'd like you to imagine that you're kicking off your socks and your shoes and you're going to carry them in one of your hands.
And now you can feel the grass underneath your feet.
Wiggling your toes and feeling the spikes of the grass.
But it also feels really soft and spongy underneath your feet.
It's nice to walk on the grass barefoot.
It feels a little bit cool,
Which feels nice on this hot,
Sunny day.
But this hot,
Sunny day has the most perfect blue sky,
Crystal clear,
No clouds to be seen.
You can hear the birds singing,
You've already seen three butterflies flying by.
And at this point,
You're almost at the pond.
When you get to the pond,
You have something that you're going to do.
It's been a very long day so far.
And there's something very magical about this pond.
Because every time you come here,
You're able to do what you're about to do next.
The pond is a regular sized pond.
It doesn't look anything too special.
You wouldn't think anything special about it.
The water looks pretty dark underneath what looks like four big,
Giant lily pads.
And there's ducks on the pond.
That's always nice to see.
Sometimes the ducks quack and it sounds like they're saying hello when you walk up to them.
But most of the time,
They just keep swimming and diving for what looks like whatever it is that they're eating underneath the surface.
And do it over and over and over again.
One of the lily pads is really close to the side of the pond.
And that's the one that you're going to go and lay on.
Yes.
This lily pad is like a place where you can come and rest and sleep.
You walk over to the lily pad.
And step onto it.
It barely moves,
Carrying your weight very easily.
Then you sit down.
Then you lay down.
Lay down on your back and look at the sky.
The lily pad holds you very safely and securely.
And then,
Like magic,
Like always,
The sides of the lily pad start to curl in.
As if they're raising up,
Like walls around you.
Cocooning you inside of this magical,
Peaceful space.
So that you're all safe.
And relaxed.
And warm and protected.
There's a slight rocking to the lily pad as if it's holding you and rocking you side to side.
Like laying on a water bed.
Or on a lilo when you're on the pool on holiday.
It feels very relaxing to just be moving just slightly from side to side.
It's soothing and calming.
You can still see the sky.
The sides of the lily pad don't close in completely.
They leave a gap at the top.
So you get the nice,
Warm,
Fresh air coming in.
You can still see the crystal clear blue sky.
You can see when birds fly over.
Or butterflies.
And then,
That's when the magic happens even more.
Right there on the side of the lily pad.
There's a butterfly.
Just one right now.
It's a monarch butterfly.
It's so pretty.
It's colours are so bright.
And it seems to just peer down at you from where it's at.
As if to say,
Oh you're here.
Hooray!
Come on everybody,
They're here.
One,
And then another,
And then three more,
And then ten more,
And then a hundred more,
And then you lose count of how many butterflies come and land at the top on the sides of the lily pad.
All looking down on you.
And then they all very gently fly inside into the cocoon of where you're at.
And this is where it gets all tickly.
They very,
Very gently land on your hands.
In your arms.
They land on your toes and it tickles.
Some of them very gently land on your forehead and your cheeks.
One of them lands directly in the middle of your nose.
The tiny,
Tiny little feet.
So gentle.
As if they're making cookies on you like cats do when they paw in and out trying to get comfortable.
All of these hundreds of little butterflies are gently moving their feet on you as if they're giving you a butterfly massage.
The most softest,
Sensitive massage you could ever imagine.
You close your eyes and enjoy all of your friends here with you.
Hundreds of them.
All coming to help you relax.
To help you forget about your day.
Your toes are the first thing that starts to tingle and relax and get heavy.
You can tell your body's starting to shift and change.
You feel heavier and sleepier already.
And they've only just started.
You let them do their making bread,
Making bread,
Making cookies,
Making cookies with the tiny,
Delicate butterfly feet all over the surface of your skin.
And it just feels so nice and relaxing.
They have the most gentlest touch.
If you listen very carefully you can hear them all communicating with each other.
The sound of their wings flapping.
Tiny little voices as if to say keep going,
Keep going guys.
They're almost asleep.
Just keep doing your magic.
You let your body sink deeper and deeper and then you notice that your legs feel very,
Very sleepy and tired.
Your lower legs,
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Everything's tired and sleepy.
Your tummy feels nice and soft and relaxed.
Your hands,
Your arms are heavy and relaxed.
Your shoulders feel so heavy so,
So sleepy.
The back of your head gets heavier into the surface of the lily pad.
The pond still gently swaying underneath the lily pad rocking you back and forth.
Back and forth.
And all of your friends doing their tiny little massage moves.
Your arms are so sleepy that you couldn't lift them up even if you wanted to.
By now there's hundreds and hundreds of butterflies all over you.
Sharing the relaxing vibrations and love making you feel all yummy and sleepy inside.
You think to yourself this is the nicest way to fall asleep.
I'm so lucky to know that this pond is here.
I'm so lucky to know that I can lay on the lily pads.
I'm even more lucky to have this many butterfly friends that always come and spoil me and pamper me every time I come to the pond.
And they never ask for anything in return.
It's as if they wait until I come just to help me to fall to sleep.
To forget about my day.
To forget about everything in my life.
Everything but this.
This cozy place.
My special relaxing place.
With that you let your body sink even deeper.
You can tell that you're even more relaxed now.
You get so,
So relaxed that you feel as if you're floating.
As if all the butterfly wings are coming to carry you away.
What if they took you on a journey?
What if their little butterfly feet were like sticky pads and they could pick you up as if you were as light as a feather?
And they could take you wherever you wanted to go.
As you fall into sleep you let your imagination expand.
Where would I go?
Where would they take me right now?
If I could go anywhere in the world where would it be?
You could journey to China.
You could journey to a beach in Hawaii.
You could journey to Disneyland.
You could go to the North Pole and visit Santa Claus and the elves.
You could go to the pyramids in Egypt and ride on a camel.
Where would you go?
Let yourself sink deeper.
Let yourself start to fall even deeper into sleep.
Dreaming about your journey.
Your travels.
Allow yourself to start to imagine that you're travelling somewhere in the world.
Let yourself sleep my friend.
Nighty night.
Sweet dreams.

Great meditation, Cory! Story Time! The boy and the thunderstorm. Max turned his head in surprise to see other clouds floating towards them. Cloe-Fluffys eyes lit up in shock and gratefulness. Ther, standing before them, wher Cloe-Fluffys parents, sister and cloud dog! "Mum! Dad! Cloudy-Fluffy! Scruffy!" Cried Cloe-Fluffy as she floated ad fast as she could over to her parents to hug them. She stretched her arms out as wide as she could and rapped them around both of her parents. "Cloe-Fluffy." Said Cloes dad "You are coming home with us. Scruffy has been so sad that you have been spending so much time away from him. Please? We need you in the family." Max stepped out from behind Cloe-Fluffy and her parents gasped in shock and disappeared into thin air. Cloe-Fluffy yelled "No! Mum! Dad! Cloudy-Fluffy! Its OK! This is a good human!" Scruffy did not dissapear because he was a cloud dog, he didn't know what a human was. Soon, Cloe-Fluffys parents reappeared. To be continued...
