Are you ready to meditate with Kari?
Are you ready to be super still in your bed,
To try and be very very quiet,
To stop wiggling,
To stop giggling and just be still and listen to the story so that your body can relax,
And you can let go of your busy day?
It was Easter and Heidi,
Cherry and Veya had been invited to their next door neighbour's house,
Sid.
Sid was a really nice old man.
He'd lived next door to the cats for a long time and they knew him very well,
But Sid had a surprise.
The cats obviously like surprises,
So they couldn't wait to go over.
It was first thing in the morning when all three of them went over to Sid's house with their Easter baskets,
Because it was Easter and they thought that the surprise was going to involve some kind of Easter egg hunt or something like that.
So you have to be prepared,
Right?
So they took their baskets.
When they got there,
Sid said,
Okay,
Let's go out guys,
Let's go straight on to the back garden because that's where your surprise is.
Cherry said,
I knew it.
I knew it.
I knew that you were going to do that.
That's why we brought his baskets,
Because I said,
You know what?
It's Easter and OMG.
Sid is such a nice old guy and he's probably got his lots and lots of Easter eggs to find and will be like so full and so lucky because it's just so nice and that's what I told him.
That's what I told Heidi this morning and that's what I told Thayer last night and I was like,
You know,
OMG,
It's just going to be the best Easter ever.
Sid said,
Well,
It might be a little bit different to that.
Cherry looked a little bit confused,
But carried on following Sid out onto the back patio and then onto the back garden and then over to the corner of the back garden where it looked like there was a rabbit hutch.
Thayer said,
Oh no,
Oh,
Oh maybe,
Oh,
Oh,
Me think Sid's got a rabbit.
Cherry said,
Oh,
Oh,
I don't think I'm sure about these rabbits.
I mean,
Sometimes I've seen some rabbits and they look a bit vicious,
You know,
With them teeth at the front.
They're a bit spiky,
Aren't they?
They look like they could take a chunk out of you really easily.
Don't think I like rabbits.
Oh,
Sid,
You didn't get a rabbit,
Did you?
Heidi said,
Come on,
Cherry,
It might be a really nice rabbit.
Sid said,
I got a rabbit and I think you're really going to like him.
Sid leant forward as he was unlocking the hutch.
He leant inside and picked up what definitely looked like a rabbit,
But they couldn't fully see him clearly at this point.
And then he turned around with the cutest,
Most adorable,
Chunky,
Very chunky looking rabbit.
And he had really,
Really long ears.
He was white with a couple of brown dots on him here and there,
But mostly he had like brown splashes and dots around his mouth as if it'd been eating something brown.
Cherry said,
What a funny looking rabbit.
Sid said,
Cats,
This is chocolate chops.
What?
Said Cherry.
Sid said chocolate chops.
Cherry said,
You mean like chocolate drops?
Sid said,
No,
It's chocolate chops because look,
He looks like he's been eating a lot of chocolate.
Cherry started laughing.
That's so true.
That's so true.
That's such a good name.
Sid,
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
I love it.
Hello chocolate chops.
So how old are you?
Where have you been?
Where have you lived before?
What's your brothers and sisters called if you have any?
Because I've heard that rabbits have lots of rabbits because rabbits have just lots of rabbits.
So you must have brothers and sisters.
Do you like to go fishing?
Do you have really big furry fluffy paws?
Can I have a look at your tail because bunny rabbit tails are supposed to be really cute.
Cherry just went on and on and on with like 20 different questions until Heidi finally tapped her on the shoulder and said,
Cherry,
Let chocolate chops just get used to us first.
Cherry said,
Oh,
I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
I get a little bit excited sometimes chocolate chops.
Anyway,
This is really good timing because it's Easter today.
And do you know anything about Easter bunnies?
Chocolate chops looked at Cherry as if she was very,
Very ridiculous.
Hello,
I'm a bunny rabbit.
Cherry said,
Oh,
Oh,
Chocolate chops seems to have a little bit of an attitude.
Cherry said,
Well,
That was probably a very silly question.
Cherry,
It's a rabbit.
Of course,
He's heard of Easter rabbits.
Well,
You don't know that,
Said Cherry.
I didn't know that.
Am I supposed to know that every rabbit on the universe,
In the earth,
On the planets,
In the stars,
Every single rabbit that exists in this entire whatever knows about Easter bunnies?
Am I supposed to know that?
Chocolate chops said,
Well,
I am a rabbit.
And being a rabbit,
I would think I would know about a very,
Very,
Very popular holiday like Easter.
And of course,
I would know that on that very,
Very popular holiday called Easter,
For some people,
They celebrate it with rabbits and Easter eggs and Easter bunnies delivering those Easter eggs.
Wouldn't you think?
Cherry said,
Oh,
I'm feeling this chewed.
I'm feeling it.
I'm feeling a little bit of an aggressive kind of temperament from you chocolate chops.
Am I feeling it correctly or am I just being super sensitive?
Chocolate chops said,
You're feeling a little bit of sarcasm,
But not very much.
I am very pleased to meet you.
Cherry said,
Well,
It's a good job we've cleared that up because I was going to get off on the wrong foot.
Four feet.
Four wrong rabbit feet,
To be exact,
Because I thought you weren't being very nice then,
Mr.
Chocolate chops.
Chocolate chops the bunny rabbit said,
No,
Just stating a fact.
And by the way,
I have had time to prepare this chocolate Easter eggs for your pleasures.
Cherry said,
You are chocolate chop said me and my new owner,
Sydney made sure that there was chocolate eggs all over this garden this morning.
Since that's my role as a rabbit.
Heidi said,
Ooh,
Fun,
They said,
Oh,
That's that's that's so nice.
Chocolate chops.
Cherry said,
Awesome.
OMG,
Chocolate chops.
Now I think I really do like you.
I wasn't quite sure before because of your attitude,
But now I think I do like you.
I see where you're coming from.
I think maybe you and me might be really good friends.
I think maybe you and me might be really,
Really good friends if you tell me where all the chocolate eggs are.
Chocolate chops was put down on the floor by Sid.
Sid said,
All right,
This is Cherry.
This is fair.
This is Heidi.
Enjoy yourselves,
Guys.
I'm going to go and have a cup of tea and I'm going to watch through the window as you find all of your things that you've buried.
And I say things.
I don't purposely say chocolate eggs.
I say things because there's some things in this garden that chocolate chops buried that weren't necessarily chocolate Easter eggs.
Cherry said,
Oh,
I'm intrigued.
This is really turning out to be a very good Easter morning.
Right.
Where do we start?
What do we do?
Chocolate chops said,
I suggest you look for parts of the garden that look like they've been uplifted and then replaced again,
Possibly digged with rabbit paws or even a spade if it was Sid.
I would start there and then use your imagination and go wherever you feel fit to go in the garden.
Note to self,
There isn't anything hiding under the concrete because my paws wouldn't allow it.
But since I can't dig holes in concrete,
That would make total sense.
Anyway,
Enjoy.
And with that,
Chocolate chops,
The bunny rabbit,
Sid's new bunny rabbit,
Hopped away to try and find something that he dug under the grass or in the flower beds or wherever he'd done it earlier.
Luckily for the cats,
Chocolate chops didn't have a very good memory and he couldn't remember what he'd dug and placed where.
So as long as they were fast,
They moved from spot to spot very quickly.
They might possibly get lots of chocolate eggs,
But they might also get the other things that they'd not discovered yet that chocolate chops had buried.
Things like stones,
Twigs,
He did even bury a dog bone and another suspicious looking bone that he found earlier on in the morning that he wasn't sure if it was a dog bone or a dinosaur bone,
But he was hoping someone would find it again so that they would know if it was a dog bone or a dinosaur bone,
Because if it was a dinosaur bone,
That would be very interesting.
Anyway,
They searched and rummaged throughout the entire garden,
Digging up what looked like dug up holes that had been pressed back down,
Like a mole had been all over the garden,
Digging holes and then going away and then the holes had been filled and then digging another hole.
It was like that.
The cats did find lots of chocolate treats.
They found jelly treats,
Chocolate treats,
But they did also find lots of stones,
Which Cherry was a little bit confused about.
Why?
Why?
She kept saying every time she found a stone.
But then Heidi found the bone that didn't look like a dog bone.
Look what I found,
Said Heidi.
Chocolate chops,
The bunny rabbit,
Hopped over to where Heidi was and said,
There it is.
There's that drastic bone.
Do you think it's a dinosaur bone?
Heidi said,
Well,
It's hard to say.
It's not that big.
Dinosaurs were really big.
Chocolate chops said,
Good point.
What do you think it is?
Cherry said,
I think not that anybody's asking me,
But I think that it's probably just like a part of a dog bone that's in the shape of a dinosaur bone that could possibly be a human femur bone.
She was just making something up.
She got no idea what a femur bone looked like.
It could be,
It could be a crocodile's finger bone.
It could also be because I've done lots and lots of research on this.
She hadn't.
Lots and lots of research on this.
And I'm an expert on bones.
It could be,
She'd run out of things that she thought it could be.
Then she finally thought of something else.
She could carry on thinking of things she would sound very intelligent.
She wanted to make a good impression,
Chocolate chops,
Because chocolate chops talked very posh as if he was very posh and very smart,
Like he knew what he was talking about.
And it was a little bit intimidating to Cherry,
But she didn't want to admit that to herself.
So instead she tried to show off and she made up a lot of different bones,
But it didn't make sense.
I also think it could be the neck of a giraffe,
That could be the bone,
Or maybe possibly,
Yes,
Oh yes,
Yes,
I've seen many times that there is gorilla toes that look just like that.
Could possibly be a gorilla toe.
What do you think,
Heidi?
Heidi had caught on to the fact that Cherry was just trying to impress chocolate chops.
So she just went along with it a little bit.
She didn't want to upset her sister or embarrass her sister in any way.
Yes,
It could possibly be one of those bones,
Cherry,
Said Heidi.
Or maybe it's just part of a dog bone,
Which was probably more than likely.
Oh,
That would be disappointing,
Said chocolate chops.
I would have very much liked it to be a bean or dinosaur bone.
Vea said,
Maybe,
Maybe it is chocolate chops.
You just don't know.
Maybe it could be still.
Vea was always nice.
She was always so nice.
Cherry was a little bit sickened by the fact that Vea was always so nice.
Anyway,
Said Cherry,
I think it's time to go home because I've got lots and lots of chocolate now and lots of stones.
I don't know why.
And yeah,
I'm going to go and say goodbye to Sid because I'm going to go home now and I'm going to count my Easter treats.
So bye,
Chocolate chops.
It was nice to meet you.
I still think you should be called chocolate chops because you do have chocolate spots on your body as well as around your mouth.
But I understand why Sid called you chocolate chops because it is a really good name for a rabbit.
Anyway,
Yeah,
Bye.
Cherry went inside the house to go and talk to Sid.
Eventually,
Heidi and Vea went home too.
When they got home,
Cherry was laid on the big cat bed.
She was surrounded by stones and chocolate eggs and candy eggs and all the rest of it.
And she was a little bit quiet.
Heidi laid down next to her and told her that she thought she was awesome.
Cherry said,
Thank you.
Heidi said,
Are you okay?
Cherry said,
I don't know.
I don't know how I feel.
I'm not sure if I like chocolate chops or not.
Heidi said,
That's okay.
You don't have to like everybody all the time.
Sometimes when you meet someone,
You don't like them at first,
But then you get to know them and then you like them.
Or the other way around.
Sometimes you like people when you first meet them and then you get to know them and then you really don't like them anymore.
So you just stay open,
Cherry.
It's okay.
Just be okay with how you're feeling.
Cherry said,
I really would like a hug.
I would like a hug off both of you,
Please.
And then maybe we can go to sleep because I'm very,
Very tired and I feel a bit sick because I ate too much of my chocolate.
So yeah,
Yeah.
The cats laid down next to Cherry,
Gave her a big snuggle and lots of love.
And they all fell to sleep hugging on each other.
After a very long morning,
They needed the nap.
I'm sure Cherry will feel better when she wakes up.
The end.
