Hello my friend,

My name is Kari and thank you for joining me in this gratitude practice.

If I'm like many of you then having a daily gratitude practice is very helpful.

One of the things though that I have noticed when I talk with clients or friends is that just writing a few things down that you're grateful for every morning in your journal is not necessarily using all of the power of a gratitude practice.

To get more from your gratitude practice this meditation is going to focus on actually feeling,

Becoming more aware of the sensation of the energy of gratitude inside of your body.

So before we start I'd like you to think of something that very easily makes you feel grateful.

Either a person or an object or an action.

It can be anything that you want but think about something that you always know makes you smile and makes you feel grateful.

Just make a mental note of it and keep it to one side in your brain.

Make sure that you're sat nice and straight.

Relax your shoulders and your jaw.

Close down your eyes.

Take a few breaths to just focus in on your body.

Nice long slow deep breaths.

Quieten everything down.

Come into a place of more balance,

A more peaceful state.

Gratitude has a specific frequency.

The energy feels very light and tingly inside of your body.

If you can imagine a carbonated drink in a glass there in front of you,

Watching the bubbles rise from the bottom all the way up to the top and then pop in on the surface.

That's kind of like what gratitude feels when you really connect to it inside of your body.

It's mostly felt around your tummy,

Going up through your chest,

Up through your back and your spine.

You'll feel it on the tops of your arms and your shoulders and you'll also feel it traveling up through your throat and up into your head.

Once you've come into that balanced peaceful state where you're not necessarily thinking about anything,

Bring forward that thing that makes you always feel grateful.

That thing inside of your mind.

Bring the image forward.

Really really allow your heart to open into that image.

Connect fully to it.

Let your body start to smile on the inside.

See if you can feel that tingling sensation.

A feeling of lifting up like the bubbles rising.

It feels like a very fast rush up through your skin,

Up through your body,

Flushing your top half of your body with this energy of joyous gratitude.

You'll feel a definite sense of lightness as if your body is rising up off the ground a little bit.

And the more you think,

The more you smile internally,

The more you focus on the wonderful feelings that you feel about this thing in your life,

The more you'll swell.

The more your body will respond.

You're activating the frequency of gratitude inside of your body.

See if you can take a big deep breath and let the image go.

Settle your body and the energy inside of your body down once again.

Focus on your breathing.

Slow everything down.

Let your energy settle back into a balanced peaceful state.

Nice and calm.

Pay attention to the sensations inside of your body and bring the image back into your mind.

A joyful,

Wonderful thing that you always feel so grateful for.

Feel the flush.

Feel the lightness and the bubbles.

The tingling sensation that travels through your body.

Imagine it coming out through your skin,

Through your throat,

Through your heart,

The top of your head.

Keep seeing it.

Make it stronger.

Make this feeling of complete and utter gratitude intensify.

The kind of feeling where sometimes your throat chakra feels as if it can constrict because it tightens.

Because there's a swell in your throat and maybe your eyes get wet like you're going to cry.

But it's not sadness,

It's joy.

Overwhelming,

Breathtaking joy.

And you have all of these physical responses going on inside of your body.

All of these physical responses going on inside of your body are what gratitude really,

Really is all about.

So the more that you can recreate this sensation,

The more that you can repeat this meditation,

That is the most powerful gratitude practice that you can do.

You're bringing to life the frequency inside of your body and as soon as you do,

You're sending out signals to the universe to magnetically attract that which you are.

And the circle of gratitude goes on and on and on.

The universe will send you more things to be grateful for.

I suggest you practice so that you get very acute with these feelings and sensations.

That way you can feel in this blissful,

Beautiful state whenever you want to.

Namaste,

My friend.

This is a beautifully simple yet powerful meditation. Having recently lost a good friend and mentor, his energy and presence was what I felt during this practice, making it impossible not to smile! Thank you for providing a means of feeling the shift of grief into gratitude. 🙏🏻
