Hello there.

I invite you now to settle into the space you are in.

You may want to be seated or lie down.

Let yourself connect to your breath.

Really attuning to what it has to offer.

How it will support and ground you.

And if your mind wanders,

You can always return back to it.

Gently attune to your breath.

As you start to honor the feeling of loneliness that you've been experiencing.

Notice where it resides in your body.

Notice if anything starts to shift as you meet it with your breath.

I invite you to really notice what happens when we think about the sense of connection that loneliness can bring.

Ironically,

It's in experiencing this that we can honor just how much we all share this.

If it helps,

Imagine a soft,

Warm light surrounding you.

This light represents compassion and understanding,

Both for yourself and for others who may also be experiencing loneliness.

Feel this light enveloping you,

Offering comfort and support.

Bring your attention to your heart center.

Visualize a gentle glowing orb of light in the center of your chest.

This light symbolizes your inner warmth and humanity.

You may even put both hands on the center and affirm to yourself,

I honor and acknowledge my feelings of loneliness with kindness and compassion.

I recognize that loneliness is a shared human experience connecting us all.

Imagine now a web of light extending from your heart center,

Reaching out to connect with others around the world who may also be feeling lonely.

See each point of light representing someone else's heart,

Glowing softly with their own warmth and humanity.

As you breathe,

Allow yourself to feel the interconnectedness of all beings through this web of light.

Sense the shared experience of loneliness as a thread that binds us together,

Reminding us of our common humanity.

Now bring your awareness back to your breath.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest with each inhale and exhale.

With each breath,

Imagine sending waves of compassion and understanding to yourself and to all those who may be feeling lonely.

It's in making space for this sensation that we may also notice parts of us that are activated,

That want to engage,

That want to connect more with each other.

Notice those,

What shifts in your body as you connect more deeply with these emotions and with the sense of wanting to connect with others.

Without realizing it,

You have expanded your empathy and compassion.

Perhaps the signal of loneliness has been the catalyst for remembering your shared humanity.

As you allow yourself to linger in the feeling of interconnectedness,

Know that you are not alone in your experience.

Know that you are part of this greater human family.

When you are ready,

Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Gently stretch,

Adjust your body,

Open your eyes.

Take a moment to appreciate the sense of connection and compassion you have cultivated.

Know that you can always return to this practice whenever you need a reminder that you belong here,

That you are connected.

And perhaps even set an intention to either reach out to someone you know or offer anyone you pass by today your smile.

Thank you for your practice.
