This meditation is for those who know what surrender means, but still struggle to just let go into a free fall, and float into Creator Spirit’s deep embrace. It was inspired by a dream I had & support by Denise Levertov's Poem: The Avowal As swimmers dare to lie face to the sky and water bears them, as hawks rest upon air and air sustains them, so would I learn to attain free fall, and float into Creator Spirit’s deep embrace, knowing no effort earns that all-surrounding grace.

One of my mantras of late has been,

Help me be helped.

If you're anything like me,

You might struggle to let go and allow other people to help you.

And that do it yourself mentality can even go as far as struggling to allow divine assistance in.

You know,

Moving through life as a mighty and lone warrior.

Forgetting the grace and the divine assistance that is just right there waiting for us to ask for help.

I'm sure if you've been in the spiritual world for more than a minute,

You have heard again and again,

Just let go.

Surrender.

And speaking from experience,

It's not quite as easy as just that.

And yet,

Just that easy.

I had a dream of laying tug of war.

And the person on the other end of the rope happened to be Jesus.

And there I was at the head of the rope on the other side of the river.

And I kept hearing,

Just let go.

And I saw so clearly if I just even loosened my grip a little and stop trying so hard to win.

I would literally fall into the arms of love.

And if I resisted and I continued my struggle,

Yeah,

Sure I had the possibility of winning with struggle.

But I would literally fall backwards with my reward.

And my reward would be to continue my habit of struggle.

So we're being invited with this meditation to loosen our grip and begin letting go of all we hold so tight.

Open your heart to divine assistance.

Help me be helped.

I find myself chanting that through the day.

Help me be helped.

And I feel myself trying so hard.

Or even when I'm feeling any anxiousness,

I take a deep breath and say,

Help me be helped.

What we're saying with that mantra is,

Help me surrender into love.

Help me to loosen my grip of control.

Help me let go of my expected timeline.

Help me to let go of my resistance.

Help me to relax and know that I am worthy in divine assistance.

Help me to open my heart to the beauty of my life right now.

Help me to increase my faith in the flow of grace surrounding me now.

Help me to trust the unfolding journey of my life.

Well,

Let's do just that.

By being willing to loosen our grip on the rope.

The continual resistance to what turns out to be love.

By surrendering into the flow of life before you.

Let go.

Let the river of life,

Which is made up of pure,

Concentrated love,

Saturate you.

Let go and open your heart to this love and permit it to flow through your being,

Purifying and cleansing you.

Let this love of God bless you,

Heal you and renew you.

Let go.

Let yourself truly partake of the fountains of living water.

Let go and say,

Help me be helped.

Let love flow in you.

Now,

Imagine just floating down the holy waters of life,

Completely trusting its benevolent nature.

Let go and flow in this river of love.

Let love gift you,

Where you see the beauty in you and the world around you.

As you practice letting go and advance down the river of love again and again and again,

You begin to increase in knowledge and faith and love.

You begin to expand your spiritual vision and bring forth the divine light of Christ right within yourself.

Help me to be helped.

Love itself requires of you to nurture a willingness to let go and continually expand into your embodiment of love.

As you fully enter into the river of love,

You rise above the vibrations and influences of illusion to benefit from this boundless blessing.

Take this mantra with you into your day.

Help me be helped.

Keep asking.

Help me be helped.

So you can step forth and dissolve into the holy waters of you to fulfill your divine destiny.

Beautiful invitation and inspiration. thank you for sharing. Ps. Would feel even more inclusive if stay with words like divine and away from God and Christ, if possible…
