Find a quiet and comfortable space.
You can either sit or lie down making sure that you won't be disturbed for the next few minutes.
And when you're ready,
Let's begin.
Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in,
Allowing your body to relax.
As you exhale,
Feel the tension leaving your body with each breath.
Inhale and exhale.
Continue breathing deeply for a few moments.
This will help you relax.
Now imagine yourself in a beautiful serene garden.
Picture the vibrant colors of the flowers,
The gentle rustling of leaves,
And a feeling of tranquility surrounding you.
This is your safe haven.
As you explore this garden,
You come across a younger child version of yourself,
Your inner child.
See them playing,
Perhaps with toys or in the sandbox.
Take a moment to observe their actions,
Noticing any emotions that arise.
Approach your inner child with love and compassion.
Gently ask them how they feel at this moment.
Is there joy,
Sadness,
Or perhaps fear?
Allow them to express themselves and notice how they respond.
As you listen to your inner child,
Respond with empathy.
If they express joy,
Celebrate with them.
If there is sadness or fear,
Assure them that it's okay to feel those emotions.
Let them know that you are here to listen and support them.
Now ask your inner child what they need to feel safe and secure in this beautiful garden.
Listen carefully to their response.
It could be a comfortable hug,
Reassuring words,
Or simply spending time together.
Observe how their demeanor changes as they express their needs.
As a loving adult,
Respond to your inner child's needs.
Offer the comfort they seek,
Whether it's through a warm embrace,
Soothing words,
Or any other gesture that feels right.
Let them know that you are here to provide safety and take care of them.
Express to your inner child that you are a loving,
Nurturing presence that will always be there for them.
Remind them that as an adult,
You are capable of creating a safe and secure environment.
Encourage them to trust you.
As we conclude this meditation,
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying the sense of safety and security with you.
