Aloha,
I'm Rev.
Cindy Palos and today I want to talk about savoring your life,
Enjoying every moment,
Celebrating who you are and this precious,
Fleeting,
Infinite experience of being alive.
It's an amazing opportunity for everyone and sometimes we forget,
Sometimes we get burdened down or we become so busy doing that we just forget to stop for a moment and experience this miracle of being alive.
I wrote a poem this morning about it.
Savor each and every moment,
Absorb it,
Become it,
Believe it,
Be it,
Enjoy it,
Celebrate your life,
Experience all of its essence,
That precious nectar of the presence that lets us be present on all levels throughout all dimensions.
We are infinitely small and also infinitely beyond all comprehension.
This perception of being with all of its lessons,
All of its blessings.
Savor every shade,
Every hue,
Every color,
Enjoy every taste that feeds our soul to guide us ever on.
Spirit brings us the chance to believe and be living in the light and to experience love in this exquisite moment to savor creation so we might express the beautiful,
Divine breath of life.
Now why wouldn't we want to savor life and love and the light of being?
Our mind is full of subconscious thoughts and when we meditate we can actually observe all of these thoughts from the objective observer point of view.
They're clouds passing by but sometimes they grab us and hold us and until we say,
Okay,
I gotcha,
I saw you,
It's okay,
Till we let it go and give ourselves permission to be aware of how much more there is than those fleeting thoughts,
Those distractions,
Then we might just spin round and round in that web of maya which we live in.
So this of course is where meditation comes in and in meditation we can savor every moment but wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to be aware even outside of our meditation,
To be consciously able to expand beyond just the limited mind into the beautiful enlightened mind where we can be aware of how amazing,
How precious,
How blessed every moment is.
Now how would you do that?
Well there's lots of ways.
There's many teachers,
Many masters have told us how to do this but how do you keep doing it?
That's where you actually take what is in your own field of awareness and bring it into your activated awakening.
There's so many hints and tricks and ways to do this.
Of course,
We know them.
If you've been meditating for a while you probably know all of them.
It's the breathing,
Just being.
It's the changing our focus,
As simple as changing the way we think from a higher point of view.
It's also found in all of those who have been practicing expressing their creative way,
Their force of being.
The artists,
The poets,
The musicians,
Those who go into that wonderful zone,
The zone where they lose track of time.
Have you ever been in that zone where you are just enjoying the moment of just creating something beautiful that reflects who you are?
It's also in taking walks.
It's also in being grateful.
We know all of this but the more we practice it,
The more we live it,
The more we express it,
Then that becomes where we are living from.
So yes,
There's a discipline,
I mean starting every day with your meditation,
With being with being grateful,
With setting an intent on your focus.
This is so,
So key.
It's so much,
So much the key to opening up that amazing door to a higher reality.
So why don't we do it more?
Well,
You know we get busy.
I know we get busy.
I'm very busy.
I do about three or four jobs.
I do my art,
I do my poetry,
I do my job at the radio station,
I do live radio shows,
I do my podcast.
You know,
It stays pretty busy.
But when people ask me,
How can you do all of that?
I say,
Because I meditate,
Because I can connect with the spirit that flows through me,
That energy that wishes to use me as an instrument of being.
And that means stepping out of my own ego in my own way,
Of course,
Right?
So that's again another lifetime practice because that will always pop its head up in our lives as we are living our lives.
It's very easy to fall into that trap,
Right?
But just remember,
It's all okay.
Now let's do a little meditation on savoring our life.
Breathe in a wonderful breath of beingness.
Allow yourself to just be.
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
And hold your breath and expand your consciousness.
And breathe out.
Just let yourself do this breath of expansion for a few breaths here.
Expanding your consciousness and allowing that feeling of expansion to free you of any small mind.
Let go of any ego or issues.
Breathe in your full awareness of Christ,
God,
Light,
Highest consciousness.
And let yourself expand your aura.
Breathing in and letting your aura and your energy field of your soul expand up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Up,
Way up,
Hundreds of feet up and down through your entire physical body and through your whole beingness of mind,
Body,
Soul,
Emotions.
Let it go down through you and out through your feet,
Way down.
Let it go in front of you,
Feeling that light body expanding hundreds of feet in front of you and behind you on either side of you until you are an amazingly huge field of wonderful,
Vibrant energy of love and light.
Feel that expansion expanding to your entire area,
Your community.
Let go of anything but that wonderful light and love,
A pure source flowing through you and expanding around to the world.
And let it expand now to the universe,
Going on and out into space.
And you are that pure spirit of being,
Unlimited,
Infinite light.
Be still and know that you are part of this amazing infinite light and love right now,
Right here.
Just be in that light.
Savor this wonderful time.
Breathe deeply.
Feel it,
Absorb it,
Experience this light and now bring it back into your entire consciousness,
Consciousness through your mind,
Subconscious,
Conscious,
Super consciousness,
All aligned in one beautiful force of energy here and now.
Breathe it in,
Breathe it out,
Breathe it in and breathe it out.
Now come back slowly,
Slowly and allow yourself to observe how you feel right now.
If there's any feeling,
Any thought,
Anything you wish to remember,
Write it down after we close out this meditation.
And I thank you from my heart and soul for you being present here and now and savoring this beautiful time and space together.
God bless you always.
