The self-inquiry and being personal are never compatible.
In this serious self-inquiry,
One stops being personal.
Because being personal means corruption.
The mind is trapped in its own pleasure,
Its own thinking,
Its own illusion.
The mind is totally isolated,
Therefore the mind can't really observe what is actually taking place.
And in this world,
Which is so personal,
So individual,
The mind is also very commercial.
The mind is always one to exchange,
And making everything into a transaction.
The mind which is personal,
Which is also commercial,
Making everything as something exchangeable.
So the mind is purely oscillated,
By its own end,
Its own purpose,
Its own utility.
And all of this is based on its self-oscillation.
The mind is trapped in the mindset of paying and buying.
You see,
This personal state of mind totally distorts everything.
It's totally around this center which is called me.
Full of calculation,
Evaluation,
Judgment,
Pursuing its own ambition,
Preference,
Pleasure,
At some time,
It suffers,
Such state of mind becomes danger.
And such state of mind is mechanical in a dangerous way.
It must encounter issues.
And this chaotic,
Messy,
And self-centered state of mind,
Which is both personal and commercial,
Doesn't really observe itself at all.
And a commercial mind never knows what is goodness.
Such a mind can easily interpret the tolerance for goodness as something permissive.
So the desire to pursue,
The desire to get more is aroused.
When the mind is really in goodness,
The mind is doing good.
Such a mind is never personal,
It's never commercial.
Such a mind is to see the value of the goodness,
Which is totally invaluable.
Second price for goodness is utterly directive.
And only a mind that is living in goodness,
Which is never personal,
Can really see what is good.
And the only way to respond to goodness is doing good.
