So,
Let's start with taking a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and exhaling in your own time,
And repeating that a couple of times,
Allowing your body to settle,
Your mind to settle into this moment,
And focusing your attention on the breath as we tell our body to relax and let go,
Tell it it doesn't have to be anywhere,
It doesn't have to do anything,
Just be here right now with you,
And notice how your shoulders feel,
Do you roll them,
Do you need to massage them,
Just give your shoulders what they need right now,
And what about your neck,
Holding that heavy head of yours,
Just noticing any areas of tension in both your head and neck,
And bringing softness there right now,
And with that softness,
Maybe it's love and gratitude you're bringing to your head and to your neck,
All the jobs they do for you every day,
Just acknowledging and appreciating all that happens without you having to do anything,
Having to decide.
Now bring your attention right down to your feet,
Feel the soles of your feet on the ground,
Notice your toes,
Touch your toes to the ground,
And your heels,
And the outside of your feet,
And the inside of your feet,
And then your whole foot flat on the ground,
And let's bring love and gratitude to your feet,
If you're lucky enough to have these feet carry you around,
Be grateful,
Sending that softness to your whole feet.
And your feet would be nothing without your toes,
So let's thank each toe,
Let's start on your right foot,
Your big toe,
Sending gratitude to your second toe,
Your middle toe,
Your fourth toe,
Your baby toe,
The same on your left foot,
Your big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
And your little toe.
Now coming up to your ankles,
Noticing both ankles,
Thanking,
Softening,
And your calves do a lot of work for you.
Softening,
Thanking,
Your knees,
Softening,
Thanking,
Your thighs at the front,
Your hamstrings,
Softening,
Thanking,
And your hips,
Keeping it all together,
Joining your upper body with your lower body,
And just sending gratitude there.
Up your back,
Your whole spine,
Softening,
Feeling grateful,
The front of your body,
Your stomach,
Your chest,
Softening,
Thanking,
And your whole body,
Let's bring softness like a hug to your whole body,
Feeling grateful for your whole body,
For the wonder that it is.
Let's just acknowledge what you've done here is given yourself permission to pause and to appreciate all that you are,
And this is something you could do more.
Give yourself permission to not have everything figured out,
And just take a nice conscious breath here to acknowledge that you don't have to have it all figured out.
You can trust in the timing,
Trust that everything will be figured out,
Everything will happen,
The best timing for us,
So you can pause.
Give yourself permission to trust exactly where you are,
But let those words land,
I give myself permission to pause,
To not have it all figured out,
To trust exactly where I am,
And remember we don't have to wait for permission from anybody.
Permission comes from the inside,
From our own self-respect and self-love and self-compassion,
We can give ourselves permission.
Bring your attention back now to your whole body again,
And let your whole body absorb those words.
And now let's finish with three beautiful,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breaths in,
And long exhales.
Acknowledging that only you can give yourself permission,
Only you can take that next step,
Whatever it may be.
Feeling your feet on the ground,
Wiggle your toes,
Wiggling and moving your fingers and wrists and arms,
Rolling your shoulders,
And coming back to have a beautiful inner day.
Thank you for joining me.
