Today's meditation is about bringing more love and presence into your life.

So take a few minutes to relax into your space.

Make yourself as comfortable as you can be.

Attempting to relax all of your body.

So take a few deep breaths.

And as you are breathing,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Just notice how the breath enters and exits your body.

And today we are bringing our attention and our awareness towards being present.

And being present with our consciousness that allows us to be here in this world right now.

And to be here in our bodies.

Being present is where we really get to experience this life.

The present is the gift of life itself.

Unfortunately,

Most of us spend a lot of time not being present.

Thinking.

Thoughts whirling around like a washing machine in your mind.

We spend far too much time worrying about the future.

What can go wrong?

When we are present,

Truly present,

This can take us away from the worry and the anxiety of the future.

In the present moment we can find peace.

But often peace is not waiting for us in the present moment.

Many of us try to avoid being present because we don't like the feeling of being in our own bodies.

We sometimes feel overwhelmed by emotion.

Feelings of guilt,

Maybe shame or sadness.

And for this reason we often seek to go outside of our bodies to distract ourselves with food or drink.

Maybe shopping or just staying too busy,

Overworking.

But if we try to avoid feeling these emotions.

If we don't acknowledge the feelings in our body that will persist.

And often they get stuck.

And when we feel the feelings this allows us to move through the emotion.

When we allow ourselves to feel the emotion.

We allow the emotions to move on.

When we resist emotion,

When we try to avoid it,

It persists.

What we resist persists.

So just for a moment let us feel the discomfort of what it is to be human.

To be present right now.

So bring your attention to whatever emotion you have been trying to avoid.

Just notice it.

Just for a few minutes.

Notice where it is in the body.

Don't try to analyse it or understand it,

Just feel it.

And breathe in.

And breathe out.

Breathing right into that point of discomfort.

And exhaling.

And continue.

Breathing in.

And breathing out.

From wherever there is tightness or discomfort in your body.

Don't be tempted to analyse or understand.

Just be with it.

Now I want you to move your attention to your heart,

If it wasn't there already.

And breathe into and out from your heart.

Inhaling into your heart and exhaling out from your heart.

And while you continue to do that,

Call on the feeling of appreciation.

Feel grateful and feel gratitude for being here right now,

For being alive.

Feel grateful for having the wisdom to allow yourself this time for yourself.

For recognising what your body,

Your mind and your soul needs right now.

Breathing in.

Feeling grateful for being alive.

Feeling that gratitude.

And now in this present moment.

This presence is what allows us to bring love into the world.

Presence allows us to feel that love.

So as we sit here,

Being more present than we normally are.

We have the ability to bring that love and acceptance into our bodies.

We can notice the simplicity and beauty of having love and presence in our lives.

Acknowledge this.

And bring that awareness into every fibre of your being.

Feel the energy of love and presence in your body.

Feel the space that it takes up.

Notice the vibration,

The energy that it creates.

The energy of life that moves through all living things.

Part of every human being's purpose is to bring this love and presence to life.

In meditation,

Your purpose is to bring love and presence to yourself.

To acknowledge yourself.

To appreciate yourself.

To appreciate your wisdom.

To allow yourself the time to deepen into yourself.

To deepen into the present moment.

To understand what a gift it is to be alive.

Remembering to take lovely deep breaths in and exhaling out.

Each breath brings more love and presence into your body.

Now let us bring a little more love and presence to a situation in our lives.

Think of an area of your life that could do with a little more love and presence.

We're not doing anything to change the situation.

We're just bringing more love and presence towards it.

So breathe in and breathe out with that focus and intention of bringing love and presence to that situation in your life.

Just notice if any tension comes up.

If thinking about that situation brings some kind of pain or discomfort.

And despite it,

Despite whatever emotion you are feeling,

Whatever energy it brings up.

You are intentionally focusing love and presence towards it.

You are not denying the emotion.

You are not resisting it.

You're allowing it.

You're going to give it space.

Because you come to it with the attitude of acceptance.

And perhaps with this acceptance,

Something may shift.

Maybe you get a deeper understanding of the situation.

When you stop resisting,

When you stop trying to figure things out,

When you stop trying to fix a situation.

When you just look at it with love,

Acceptance and presence.

You will be surprised at what can happen.

So let's bring more love and presence to everything.

To each other,

To all living beings,

To the planet.

Become aware of the sky above you.

And notice the love that we all have for life.

For the animals and the trees.

And send more love to all of this life.

Including yourself.

Swirling around all of this love and presence.

With an energy of love and self-compassion.

And a smile on your face and know that you are loved.

That you are supported.

That you are here for a purpose.

And that you accept that part of your purpose is to bring more love and presence into your life.

And with that big smile on your face,

You decide that this will be a really good day.

And if you are listening to this at night time,

That this will be a really good week.

So taking one last cleansing breath right into your heart and exhaling.

And in your own time,

You can come right back into the present.

And open your eyes.
