Welcome to this five-minute wind down meditation.
Start to settle yourself,
Getting comfortable wherever you are,
Feeling your body fully supported as you start to bring your attention to your breath.
Taking a slightly longer,
Slightly slower breath than usual.
Settling into your body into this moment,
Telling your body it's okay to relax.
And on each exhale,
Consciously letting go of any of the tension of the day.
Now,
Starting from the top of your head,
Let us slowly scan down through your body,
Noticing any areas of tension and consciously relaxing them with each breath,
Each exhale,
Allowing that tension to leave your body.
Feeling your muscles soften and release as you move down,
Right the way down through your body,
Right down to your toes,
Consciously relaxing with each exhale.
On your next inhale,
Imagine drawing in calm relaxation.
With each exhale,
Feel that wave of relaxation washing over you,
Deepening your sense of peace.
Noticing the rhythm of your breath,
Inhaling calm,
Exhaling,
Feeling that relaxation.
Inhaling calm,
Exhaling relaxation.
Now,
Bring to mind three things you are grateful for from this day.
Bringing the feeling of gratitude and appreciation to your heart and to your body.
Allowing the feeling of gratitude to fill your heart,
Fill your body and fill your mind.
Appreciation,
Gratitude brings warmth and comfort to your body.
Noticing your breath,
Noticing how much more comfortable and relaxed your body is.
Taking a few more deep breaths,
Feeling relaxed,
Feeling calm and feeling ready to drift off into a peaceful sleep.
