Welcome.
Take a moment now to find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Allow your body to be completely supported and your hands to rest softly.
Close your eyes or have a soft gaze,
Whichever feels right for you.
And then start to begin connecting with your gentle,
Natural breath.
No effort,
No control.
Just feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Notice the coolness as you breathe in and the warmth as you breathe out.
With each exhale allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to release and your whole body to start to let go of any tension.
Then notice with each inhale,
Breathe in peace,
Breathe in light,
Breathe in a little more ease.
Now imagine yourself walking barefoot along a sandy beach in the early morning.
The sand is cool beneath your feet,
The air feels fresh and the sea breeze brushes gently against your skin.
The waves roll in with a soothing rhythm,
A sound that calms the mind and settles the heart.
Above,
The sky glows with the first golden light of sunrise.
You have this beach entirely to yourself,
You feel safe,
Peaceful and fast.
Take a moment to walk along the shoreline and just listen,
Breathing in the sea air and simply letting yourself be one with the ocean.
As you continue,
You notice a figure in the distance,
Walking towards you along the beach.
At first they're hard to make out,
But as they come closer you begin to recognise them.
It's someone familiar,
Someone who loves you deeply and unconditionally.
Perhaps an old friend,
A family member or simply a being of light and love who knows your true self.
When you finally meet,
You embrace,
Feel the warmth of this hug,
The safety of it,
The deep connection of being held in pure love.
Let yourself rest in this feeling,
Allowing it to soak into every fibre of your being.
As you receive this love,
Notice if there are any places within you that feel heavy,
Blocked or resistant.
Perhaps old anger,
Fear,
Guilt,
Self-criticism or limiting beliefs.
Simply notice them without judgement.
These are the burdens you have been carrying,
But now it's time to release them,
To make space for change.
Together with your loving companion,
You sit down on the sand,
Close to the water's edge.
Each gentle wave that washes up before you carries away what you no longer need.
Each breath out is a release.
Each wave carries it away back into the vast ocean.
Allow forgiveness to wash through you as you release.
Forgiveness for others and for yourself.
Each breath softening,
Releasing,
Balancing you so that you return to a state of inner peace and harmony.
As you sit in this softness,
You notice a child appears,
Sitting safely nearby.
As you look closer,
You realise this child is you,
Your younger self,
No more than five years old.
So innocent,
So open,
So worthy of love.
You reach out and hold this child in your arms,
Drawing them close in,
In a gentle embrace.
And as you do,
You whisper to them,
You're safe,
You are loved,
You're worthy of joy,
Of success and of peace.
Feel your heart soften as you reconnect with this tender part of yourself.
Invite you now to picture a moment in the days ahead of you where you're often hard on yourself,
Perhaps self-critical,
Impatient or short-tempered.
See that moment clearly and then change it.
Imagine yourself responding with kindness instead of judgement.
Or patience instead of frustration.
With resilience instead of fear.
Feel how different this moment becomes when you meet it with love.
You're planting a seed,
Choosing a new path.
Now imagine creating a delicate glass bubble,
Shimmering and clear.
Into this bubble you place everything you've experienced here today,
The love,
The forgiveness,
The healing,
The kindness.
This bubble is light yet strong.
Now place it gently into your pocket,
Knowing you can return to this moment whenever you wish.
Turn to your loving companion and your inner child and thank them both.
Feel their gratitude in return and after saying goodbye,
They fade gently into the light of the morning sun.
Slowly you turn and begin to walk back along the beach.
The sound of the waves grow softer and the sunlight brighter.
With each step you return more fully to yourself,
Here and now.
When you're ready,
Join me in taking a final deep breath in.
And then with an open mouth and a sigh just let anything you need to go.
Allow a soft smile to creep across your beautiful face.
Then silently say to yourself the following affirmation.
