Grind your beans, then ground yourself. This very short & sweet meditation is beginner-friendly and will help you start your day on the right foot. Best done first thing in the morning, with your hot coffee in hand (but not too hot - just right for that first sip!)

Transcript

Hello and welcome to your coffee meditation.

Please place your coffee somewhere safe,

Whether it's on the counter or table in front of you,

Or hold it by the handle or underneath,

Cautious that it might be hot.

Please take a deep inhale through the nose and as you exhale,

Close down your eyes and feel into the space of the soles of your feet.

Feel supported by the earth beneath you.

Feel steady,

Standing or feeling into your own two feet.

Deep inhale through the nose and feel the heat coming out of your mug,

Whether it's around the sides or placing a hand over the top,

But feeling its warmth,

Feeling the heat.

Another deep inhale through the nose and this time as you exhale,

Let out a sigh through the mouth and relax into the shoulders and the heart space,

Knowing that you are the perfect combination of strength and softness.

On your next inhale,

Bring your coffee up towards your nose and truly savor the scent,

Feeling the warmth of it.

As you exhale,

Release a sigh,

Maybe blowing into the mug.

And then when you're ready,

Take your first sip and truly be present right here,

Right now,

Enjoying the flavor,

Enjoying the temperature,

Enjoying this moment just for you.

Feeling steady in your feet,

Feeling supported,

Feeling strong and soft.

The day ahead of you holds infinite possibilities,

Infinite potential and whatever today brings,

Know that you are supported,

Know that you are steady.

You are the perfect combination of strength and softness to tackle whatever comes your way or to achieve all that you are capable of.

It's going to be a good day.

Thank you for this little meditation. 🙏🏻 It's such a is a great idea as usually the very first thing I do in the morning is have my coffee while reading the news. This is the perfect alternative... Taking a moment for grounding in order to face what the day brings. The short duration makes it easy to insert into my morning routine.

I loved this! I didn't know there was a Coffee Meditation until today. I often have meditated with elbows on the table and holding my coffee cup up to my forehead. I enjoyed this and may use it daily.

That was so much fun! I loved the simplicity of it, and I loved that after this meditation is complete, that I will be able to enjoy my coffee.
