Welcome to this meditation.
I invite you just to take this few moments,
The first few moments,
Just to settle into our seat.
Shift around,
Do whatever you need to do to make yourself comfortable.
Still leaving my eyes open at this point,
But allowing them just to be kind of a light-focused,
Not really staring at anything.
Just opening up our vision to that peripheral vision,
To the space around us.
Not focusing on any one thing,
But taking it in through our full field of peripheral vision,
Taking it all in.
So we just get centered into this moment right now.
So let's all together take in a deep breath in just a moment,
Just picturing cleansing,
Healing breath of air coming into the body.
As we do it,
Let's allow our eyes to just look up towards the ceiling as we breathe in,
And then we'll hold the breath for a moment.
And then as we exhale,
We'll allow our eyes just to go back to center.
We're going to do that three times,
And then at the end of the third one,
If you're comfortable with your eyes closed during meditation,
At that point,
Allow our eyes to go into the closed position.
But if not,
A light focus,
Maybe with the eyelids half open,
Half closed,
Whatever's most comfortable.
So let's go ahead and I'll take in a deep breath in through the nose,
Allowing our eyes just to look up towards the ceiling without moving our head.
Just hold the breath for a second,
Just noticing any sensations in the body with that breath.
And then as you exhale,
Just allow your eyes to go back into resting position.
And then we'll go ahead and do that again,
A deep breath in through our nose,
Allowing our eyes to look up without straining the eyes,
Just about a 45 degree angle,
Holding a breath in.
Just seeing that fresh air coming through the body,
Just relaxing all the cells,
And then just exhaling completely,
Allowing all the air,
Tension,
Stress just to leave the body.
And then we'll do one third final really deep breath in through the nose as much as you can breathe in,
Allowing those eyes again to go up and hold that breath for a moment.
Knowing that as we exhale on this next time,
All thoughts from the day are just going to ripple away with the breath.
And as you exhale,
Allow your eyes and your eyelids just to go into a nice gentle resting position.
So now we're just going to breathe regularly but fully.
And we're also going to deeply observe the breath.
Tracking the breath that enters our body.
Picturing the breath entering is a golden white light.
Which is from an inhale to an exhale.
Just allowing each breath to take us more fully into this now moment.
With each breath in rejuvenation.
With each breath out,
Just a cleansing.
Tension,
Ligament,
Pressures,
Just to relax.
Always keeping our attention awareness with the breath.
Tonight we're just going to begin by feeling our hands without moving our bodies.
Hands or maybe your feet,
Most sensitive areas.
How do we know that they're alive,
Without moving them.
How do we know that they're there?
Just feeling our hands or feet from the inside.
Noticing how we bring our attention to it,
But they relax even more deeply.
Once you feel connected,
Know that your hands are there by that energetic body that's there.
This is going to be our relaxation tonight,
So just allow that awareness to expand.
If it was with the hands,
You can extend that knowing,
That feeling of that life force up into the forearms.
Without moving or touching the body,
How do we know it's there?
Just continue to allow that to extend through your biceps,
Up into your shoulders,
Your upper back,
Or if you started with your feet,
Maybe through your calves,
Up through your knees,
And up into your quads and hamstrings.
Now as that awareness reaches further and further throughout the body,
Just allow it to massage away any tension,
Any soreness or stiffness.
It's going to take its natural path throughout the body.
Who's the one to go next?
It's sensation.
For me,
It's up through my neck and my head,
Throughout my very crown,
My forehead.
Just recognizing it still all the way from my fingers where I started,
Up through the whole top part of my body.
Bringing a perfectly relaxed state of being.
Recognizing the breath the whole time.
It's so deeply connected in awareness.
Just allowing that feeling of that life force within us to expand and take in more.
For me,
It's through my abdomen and my hips,
Sitting a little longer into a tense,
Sore spot at the base of my spine.
Just picturing it as a loving energy within me that just wraps itself around that sore spot.
Just holding it,
Not judging it or labeling it.
Just letting it know that we see it.
That we're there with it.
Continuing throughout the rest of the body that hasn't fully awakened yet into this inner space.
Throughout my thighs and quads,
Knees,
My calves and shins,
The tops of my feet,
Out through the toes.
Just imagine that inner energetic body that I just felt as just a glowing white form of myself,
My body.
And in my mind's imagination,
I just envision it growing in intensity,
In size.
It's where it expands beyond my physical body.
It just holds my physical body within it as it continues to expand.
I envision that energetic body expanding beyond the body.
I just allow it to just hold and cradle my physical body,
My mind,
My thinking mind,
All of it,
Just holding it within.
Allowing that just to open up a space in the center of my chest,
In that heart space.
Just a feeling of nurturing,
Compassion,
Unconditional love.
Allowing our imagination to just continue to expand.
Until it pulls back very quickly,
Rapid from the Earth,
From the solar system,
From the galaxy back to several galaxies.
Until it's just beyond,
As far as we can imagine the universe to be.
Just acknowledging that all that is in the physical world,
All began and came from the same place.
Whether you see it as the Big Bang,
Or as a divine creation,
Combination,
Whatever it is,
It's all the same source,
Same place of all physical matter.
Same elements that make up the human body.
The same base elements of all that is,
Truly are,
All of the same stuff.
So allowing that imagination to expand to what existed before that.
Infinite intelligence behind it all.
The same source where all mind and intelligence comes from.
Same source of all life.
The life that exists in one,
Is the same life that exists in another.
The same energy,
The same dynamic power.
Just invite you to open up that space in your heart,
Just become aware of your oneness with it all.
From that place far off from the universe,
Acknowledging the overall sense of calm and peace.
Invite you just to allow that sense of calm and peace,
Just to be aware of where that resides within you.
That space in between the atoms,
In between the subatomic particles,
It's all in that infinite space that's really in between.
Knowing that with a powerful microscope,
We see that our bodies are far more space than they are actual matter.
Just allow our awareness to just melt into that space in between,
Where the calm lives,
Where the peace resides.
Just take a minute to be still in that space.
You're not only at the ZeAction Meal,
And at the If it resonates,
I invite you to just allow a gentle smile to come over your face.
We can imagine that gentle smile just extending to those in the world around us.
Allowing any images of others that come to mind to just receive that smile and gesture from each of us.
Allow your imagination to just extend that throughout your community,
Throughout any other communities that come to mind.
Recognizing that we have so much more in common than anything that ever divides us.
Just allowing that feeling of peace and calm to be an offering to the entire world.
A sense of comfort to those who may be struggling.
A sense of strength to those that are in their darkest hour.
An understanding and a compassion for all who are maybe lost from that inner calm within themselves.
For all those that are hurting.
Just an imagination of offering of comfort and peace.
Perhaps on some level that energy is felt.
When it reaches out to everyone else on this planet and any other sentient beings throughout the universe that are holding thoughts of compassion,
Peace,
And love with a capital L.
As we imagine our light to grow brighter,
That it connects with all that is and shines a brighter light throughout.
Just enabling a better way of being for everyone.
As we send that out,
I also invite you just to allow it to reverberate and echo back to you.
Take up space in your heart center to be with us as we go throughout our upcoming days,
Weeks,
And months.
That's an acknowledgement of a healing power that we already know exists in all bodies.
See it when a paper cut heals.
See it.
The minute we see it on the grand scale.
Just acknowledging that that energy is flowing through Mark right now.
Flowing with Angela's mother through her process coming up through each and every one of us.
Just allowing our attention,
Our imaginary arms just to wrap around ourselves and hold that energy with us.
Never really holding it all for each and every one of us.
I want to offer up my gratitude for each and every one of you for focusing time and energy in this way.
I encourage you to offer yourself thanks for taking this time.
Just bringing our awareness more and more back into our physical body and into the space around us.
Bringing in a sense of calm and peaceful rejuvenation.
As you're ready,
Your eyes to gently open if they were closed.
Your awareness is to spread back into the space in the room that you're in.
