This is called the bear technique.
This is a process to do anytime you are getting ready to move it to a different part of your day,
Especially if it's something that you'd like to do well and do with ease.
Perhaps it's a conversation with another person.
Maybe it's a meeting that's going to be challenging.
I like to do it even before I pull out of the driveway in the car.
It's called BEAR.
Breathe,
Envision,
Align,
And release.
Step one.
Sit down,
Relax,
Close your eyes,
And just take in a deep breath through your nose,
Allowing yourself just to relax into this present moment.
Take a couple breaths until you feel like you are fully at ease.
The next step is the E,
Envision.
In your mind's imagination,
Just picture yourself doing this task or activity and doing it well.
Imagine everything just falling into place with perfect ease.
If it's a conversation,
Maybe it's the right words coming to you at the right time,
As well as your ability to deeply listen to hear what the other person is really looking for and what they're really saying.
Just imagine everything aligning to bring this perfect result for all that are involved.
When I do this before I drive the car,
I just picture my upcoming drive.
I picture traffic flowing smoothly.
I picture the lights turning right in time.
I picture myself driving the car protected by a golden white light,
Just knowing that I and all my passengers and everybody else on the road arrived to our destination safely.
Whatever it is that you're getting ready to do,
Just imagine yourself doing it well and in alignment.
You can even imagine yourself encountering an obstacle or two and see yourself in your imagination navigating that perfectly.
Once you've envisioned this,
The next step is the A,
Align.
Just remind yourself,
Especially with the breath,
That you are connected to something so much bigger than any of us,
That there's a power in this universe and that you can use it.
So as you recognize your alignment with all that is,
Your work is pretty much done.
We move on to the last step,
Which is release.
Just let it go.
Let it flow off knowing that these words,
That these thoughts,
These feelings and imaginations move out ahead of you and just simply paved the way for the perfect experience to unfold.
That's it.
Breathe,
Envision,
Align and release.
