Maybe you've come to bed tonight needing a little self-love.
Needing to stop being so hard on yourself for once.
In tonight.
You can.
Even if a part of you is still tired.
Still holding on.
Still bracing.
Still overthinking.
Still judging yourself more harshly than you would anyone else.
Tonight may be a chance to begin letting go.
I'm Chibso Karake.
And welcome to this deep sleep meditation for self love.
Just before we settle in fully.
Make sure you're somewhere safe where you can fully relax.
Not driving.
Not operating machinery.
Just free to let your whole system rest.
Tonight is less about effort.
And more about letting go.
So we're going to begin by settling the body.
And then allowing the breath to slow.
And then allowing the muscles to soften.
After that,
We will guide your awareness gently through the body.
Loosening any places that have been holding.
And as you drift deeper.
Simple affirmations of self love and letting go will move quietly into the back of the mind.
Where they can begin their work.
Without you having to do anything at all.
By the end of this meditation.
If you haven't already drifted off.
You'll be more than ready to fall into a deep,
Restorative sleep.
And the more often you return to this recording.
The more deeply it can work.
As your mind and body.
Begin to recognise the patterns.
And settle more quickly each time.
You don't have to follow every word.
You don't have to make anything happen.
You can simply listen.
And soften.
And drift whenever sleep is ready to take you.
If you drift off before the end.
That's perfectly okay.
That's often the sign this is working.
So before we settle in fully.
.
.
Make sure you're as comfortable as you can be.
Adjusting the pillow.
The blanket.
The duvet.
Making sure your alarm is set if you need it.
And your phone is on silent.
Just noticing now the simple feeling of your body resting on the bed.
Noticing the back of the head.
The shoulders.
The arms.
The hips.
The legs,
And the feet.
You don't have to scan in any particular order.
Just a gentle awareness of where your body is being supported.
And as you rest there.
You may begin to notice the breath.
Allowing the next inhale to come to you.
A little more slowly.
And the exhale that follows.
A little more slowly too.
And once again,
An easy,
Slow breath in and an easy,
Slow breath out.
And one more time.
The in-house slowing.
And the exhale slowing.
And now allowing the breath to settle into its own gentle rhythm.
You can allow the mattress to take a little more of your weight.
So the muscles don't have to work so hard.
And you may notice.
As a way of handing over just 5% more.
And then another 5%.
Whenever you like.
Not all at once.
Just a gradual giving in.
A gradual letting go.
And as you continue to settle.
A quiet heaviness may begin to spread through you.
A pleasant heaviness.
The kind that comes when the body finally trusts that it can rest.
And gently bringing your awareness now to the top of the head.
Allowing the scalp to soften.
Allowing the forehead to smooth.
Space between the eyebrows,
Letting go.
The eyes resting heavy in their sockets.
The cheeks softening.
Allowing the jaw to unclench.
The tongue resting easy in the mouth.
The neck softening.
The throat at ease.
Allowing the shoulders to drop now.
Not because you push them down.
Just because there's less to carry.
The arms,
Growing heavy.
The elbows,
Soft.
The wrists.
The hands.
The fingers.
All letting go.
Allowing the chest to be at ease.
The breath moving gently.
And down.
The belly softening.
The lower back releasing.
Allowing the hips to spread into the bed.
The thighs growing heavy.
The knees soft.
The calves at ease.
Allowing the ankles to relax.
The feet.
And even the toes.
Letting go completely.
And as the body softens.
You may notice there's less and less reason to keep carrying the day.
Less reason to keep replaying.
Less reason to keep holding every unfinished thought.
Less reason to keep holding every little thing that seemed to ask something from you.
Because none of it needs to be solved here.
None of it needs to be carried through the night.
You can set it all down beside you for a while.
Not denied.
Not pushed away.
Just sit down.
The pressure to hold everything together.
The habit of putting everyone else first.
The quiet exhaustion of trying to please.
And the self-judgment that's been louder than it needed to be.
Just for now.
None of that has to come any further with you.
Self love tonight.
Maybe less about feeling good about yourself.
And more about no longer turning against yourself.
No longer asking yourself to stay tense.
Stay vigilant.
Stay on.
No longer asking for one more answer before sleep.
Tonight.
You're allowed to stop turning against yourself.
And maybe there's even a quiet thread of gratitude moving through you.
Gratitude for this body.
That's brought you all the way here.
Gratitude for the bed beneath you.
Gratitude for this moment of being allowed to rest.
And gratitude for the part of you that knew it was time to come back to yourself.
In a moment.
I'll count gently down from ten to one.
And with each number.
There can be less and less to do.
Less to follow.
Less to hold on to.
You can simply allow the numbers to come and go.
Like quiet signals.
Each one an invitation to hand a little more over.
And drift a little further into rest.
Each breath softening you a little further.
A little deeper.
9 as if the room itself is settling around you.
8.
The bed seeming to rise gently to meet you.
Seven.
Every layer of holding loosening.
Releasing.
6 drifting deeper.
As the day grows further away.
5.
And at this halfway point now.
You can stop turning against yourself.
There's nothing left to prove tonight.
4.
The deeper mind already preparing for rest.
3 each breath carrying you further into stillness.
Too.
Softer.
Quieter.
The pistil.
One.
Arriving at that quiet inner place.
Where you can stop turning against yourself.
And simply rest.
From this quiet inner place.
Your body can do its quiet work.
The nervous system softening.
The heart slowing.
The deepest systems doing what they know how to do.
Restoring you.
Repairing you.
Returning you to yourself.
While the part of you that has been so hard on yourself for so long can finally rest.
And from here.
If you ever need to wake up for any reason at all.
You will.
Easily.
Naturally.
Just as you always do.
But if there's nothing that needs you tonight.
No reason to wait.
Then you can allow yourself to sink even more fully into this deep sleep.
Restorative sleep.
The sounds around you may seem further away now.
My voice may seem further away too.
Even your own thoughts no longer needing to come so close.
No longer needing your attention in the same way.
Not disappearing by force.
Just becoming less important.
So you can allow the words to become less important now.
Like a radio in another room.
Still playing.
But softer.
More distant.
Until there's almost nothing left to follow.
And if there's any part of you still listening closely.
That's fine.
That part can listen.
Another part can drift.
And another part can sleep.
You don't have to choose.
The deeper mind already knows what to do.
It knows how to let the body soften.
It knows how to let the mind float further back.
And from here.
With each breath.
And each pause.
And each passing moment.
You can simply breathe.
Go deeper.
Deeper into that soft inner place where self-love no longer looks like effort at all.
And feels more like permission.
Permission to stop.
Permission to rest.
Permission to sleep.
And now.
These simple phrases can drift softly in the background.
You don't have to repeat them.
You don't have to remember them.
They can simply be there.
Quietly.
Steadily.
While you sleep.
Self love can rest here tonight.
I am allowed to rest exactly as I am.
I'm allowing myself to soften.
I don't need to earn this rest.
I don't need to hold everything together tonight.
I don't need to please anyone right now.
I'm letting go of everything I cannot solve tonight.
I'm letting go of the day.
There's a quiet gratitude in my body for this rest.
I can be gentle with myself tonight.
My body is growing heavy with rest.
My mind is allowed to grow quiet.
It's safe to soften more now.
I can rest without turning against myself.
I am held by rest.
Tomorrow,
I'll wake gently.
Restored.
And a little more at home in myself.
Tomorrow can wait,
