This meditation will help you shift from a place of fight,
Fright or freeze response to a place of being able to respond to conflict from a calmer,
Less reactive mind and give you the power to become free.
To begin,
I want you to take a moment to find somewhere you can sit in an upright position or laying down,
Whatever is most comfortable for you.
Let's take three deep breaths together.
Inhale,
I'm aware of my in-breath.
Exhale,
I'm aware of my out-breath.
Inhale,
I'm aware of my in-breath.
Exhale,
I'm aware of my out-breath.
Inhale,
In-breath.
Exhale,
Out-breath.
Whatever the situation is,
When the conflict unfolded,
I want you to go to that time now here in your mind.
Can you remember the room or space that you were in?
Can you see the look on the other person's face,
Their body language?
Taking a moment to turn inward.
What's going on inside for you?
What's being activated?
If this is triggering feelings for you,
I want you to take a moment and breathe.
Focus on the air filling your lungs and gently leaving your nose.
Focus on the soft spot here in between your eyes.
See each breath coming into your body.
And on the exhale out,
Letting go,
Letting go.
Now I want you to imagine that you are observing this conflict,
This story in your mind from a different perspective.
A bird's eye view,
High up in the sky,
And you are now seeing the story from this perspective.
Look at the two characters,
You and the other person,
As if you could capture this frame in a movie.
Take a snapshot of this moment so you can sense it,
Feel it,
Know where this is for you.
Now as best as you can,
I want you to call on your future self,
Your wisdom,
Your inner guidance,
And just notice your posture change,
Becoming softer.
See this situation starting to play out in a fresh way.
What is your intention here with this person?
Letting your future self really be witness to what is going on with this story.
What's going on inside of you?
What is being activated?
Triggered?
Is it fear?
Hurt?
Anger?
Not being seen?
What is underneath these emotions you are feeling?
Sense the unmet needs that are here for you,
The need to feel loved,
Respected,
Heard,
That you can be yourself,
That you can grow,
That you feel cared for.
What is the need that's here,
That is not being met?
And as you bear witness to this from your higher self,
Sense the opportunity of offering loving kindness,
Compassion to your heart right now.
Just placing your hand here on your heart and repeat these words inside your mind.
I am loved.
I am loved.
I am loved.
I am loved.
Feel this spread into every corner of your heart,
Unlocking each cell here in your heart,
Filling you with loving energy.
Just sit here for a moment in this space.
We become responsible of these situations when we address our unmet needs.
We have the capacity to respond to whatever is going on from our heart,
Channeling love to our hearts,
Channeling self-forgiveness,
Sending these messages to be able to be okay within ourselves.
Notice that,
Be witness to what's happening when you let that in,
This self-love.
Let's do this another time,
Taking a moment to place a hand back here on your heart center.
I am loved.

Sensing the presence of your higher self,
Feeling you completely,
We can look through the eyes of wisdom and see more about the other person.
Then this trance of anger,
Disappointment or despondency begins to leave.
That you might be able to see past the other person's behavior of being controlling or disrespectful as their own insecurities,
Their own unmet needs.
Let yourself be guided by your higher self,
Your intelligence,
Your heart,
By doing this everything around you and within you becomes free.
Hand here on your heart once more.
I know it can be daunting to face our conflict head on,
But by practicing this meditation you will become calmer and more resilient.
And that there are now some more flexible ways you can respond to this person.
And as we come to the end of this meditation,
You now have the support you need,
Your higher self.
This meditation can help reduce the impact of tough situations,
Even if you can't predict or stop external circumstances from happening,
You can prepare yourself so you're ready when the time comes.
Bringing yourself now here into the present moment,
Feeling the quality of your heart right now.
And as you're ready,
Just gently opening up your eyes,
Feeling the greatness of your being rising into power and strength today.
