Held By Stillness
Held by Stillness invites you to rise above the noise of the world and return to your quiet truth within. Guiding you out of the whirlwind of doing and into a place of deep, sacred stillness, where you are not required to perform, prove, or strive. Carried to a mountaintop above the clouds, peace holds you like a tender cradle. A place where stillness is not emptiness, but presence. It is a homecoming to the self beneath the noise, whole, worthy, and already enough.

Life is so fast,
So fast,
Like a whirlwind that whips you up and doesn't let you go.
It grabs at your days with invisible hands,
Spinning you into tasks,
Noise,
Conversations,
Expectations.
It sweeps you into its endless rhythm of doing,
Becoming,
Performing.
Until you forget what it feels like to simply be.
It spins and spins until you no longer know which way is forward,
Or where you last left yourself.
It blurs the edges of your days,
Rushing you through each moment as if stillness was something dangerous.
As if pausing meant failing.
As if softness meant weakness.
But stillness is not to be feared.
Stillness is where you find yourself again.
Not as a project or an achievement,
But as the quiet,
Beautiful being who's been waiting beneath all that noise.
So for a few moments,
Let's reconnect with your inner stillness.
Not the kind that is forced or contrived,
But the kind that waits patiently in the quiet corners of your soul.
The stillness that carries you home,
To the place where you are loved inside yourself.
Where you don't have to be someone.
Where you don't have to perform,
Or explain,
Or try hard.
You can just be.
Just you.
Without the wait,
Without the noise,
Without the performance.
Just you.
In all your quiet beauty.
Close your eyes,
And rest back.
And breathe with meaning and with comfort.
Let your body soften into whatever holds it now.
The bed,
The floor,
The chair,
The earth.
And feel yourself release.
Breathe with yourself in mind.
Not how someone told you to.
Not how the world asks you to.
Breathe the way you want,
And need to,
For you.
Let each breath fall into you like a soft wave.
Rolling in with peace.
Rolling out with release.
Let it be slow.
Let it be steady.
Let it be enough.
This is not a breath you owe to anyone else.
This breath is yours.
Now is not the time for movement.
It's not the time for busy thoughts,
Racing minds,
Demands,
Or ongoing frustrations.
It's not the time for planning,
Or proving,
Or fixing.
Now is a time to allow the stillness within you.
The stillness that perhaps has been trying to reach you.
To arrive.
And so it does.
Quietly.
Lovingly.
Without force.
Now see yourself on a mountaintop.
Safe and observational.
Not a harsh,
Jagged peak.
But a soft,
Sacred place.
High above the weight of the world.
A place where the wind knows your name.
Where the sky meets your skin with tenderness.
It is not cold here.
It is not harsh.
It is a sacred,
Quiet place.
The kind of quiet that feels like a lullaby.
Humming through the bones of the earth.
The kind of quiet that doesn't just surround you.
It enters you.
Reminding you of a peace you've always known,
But forgotten.
The sky is shrouded in purple lilac.
Spilling colour.
Like when you add paint to water.
It is not just a sky.
It is a painting come alive.
A dream above you that asks nothing but your gaze.
The last light of sun dips behind the horizon.
Not with a scream,
But with a sigh.
It paints soft,
Amber veins across the sky like golden threads through silk.
Like whispered promises of something beyond time.
The clouds glow in hues of lavender and rose.
Touched gently by the last breath of the sun's warmth.
As though the day is bowing gracefully.
Making space for the quiet.
Above you,
A delicate crescent moon is being held up by the clouds.
Like a cradle suspended in the sky.
It hangs there tenderly,
As though it's watching over you.
Soft,
Glowing and full of quiet grace.
Not demanding your attention,
But offering its presence in case you need it.
You breathe and look.
You look and breathe.
And something within you begins to settle.
This is nature.
Where there is no rush,
But where everything arrives in its own time.
Where a leaf falls only when it is ready.
Where the moon waxes and wanes without urgency.
Where the stars show themselves when the sky is dark enough to need them.
No rush,
No demands,
Nothing.
Just you,
Overlooking below.
As you see the clouds beneath you.
Yes,
Beneath you.
You have risen above it all.
Almost as if you are in some sort of heaven.
A place outside time.
Outside expectation and expansion.
A space where you are held.
Just held.
You cannot see beneath the clouds,
It simply is you and the clouds.
And they get closer and closer to you,
Until you can reach out and touch one.
And as your hand meets it,
You realise this cloud is unlike anything you've known.
This cloud seems different,
Safe,
As though it will hold you forever in its safety and love.
It's as if it recognises your soul.
As if it's been waiting just for you.
As if it's been here,
Hoping you would finally allow yourself to rest.
And it wants to hold you.
To cradle you like the earth cradles the sea.
To carry you without asking for anything in return.
To show you what it means to be held,
Without compromise or condition.
And as you sit there soft,
Still and open,
The cloud rises and wraps itself gently around your body.
Like that sigh,
Like that lullaby,
Like the arms you've always longed for.
Not as an escape,
But as a return.
It lifts you not into the air,
But into yourself.
And you just lay within the safety of the cloud.
Suspended and completely free.
Now feel it.
The stillness.
It is not empty.
It is not a void.
It is presence.
It is fullness without noise.
Allow the stillness to hold you in its hands.
Feel how it doesn't ask you to change,
To try or to be anything more.
It just holds you.
Exactly as you are.
It holds you,
Whoever you are.
The sky above is deepening now.
A darker indigo curls around the edges.
It feels like the Earth is tucking herself in for the night.
Wrapping herself in quiet velvet.
Stars begin to flicker to life.
Not all at once,
But in their own time.
Just as everything does.
They don't rush.
They don't compete.
They simply become.
One by one,
They appear and you watch them from where you lay in your soft sanctuary.
The stars don't need to be loud to be seen.
They don't need to explain their existence.
They simply are.
And that is enough.
So are you.
Stillness is not a punishment.
Stillness is not doing nothing.
Stillness is remembering what you've forgotten beneath the busyness.
Stillness is where your soul speaks clearly,
But where you have not been listening.
So stay in that stillness.
Let go of what you were carrying.
All the tasks.
All the trying.
All the ways you believed you had to perform your worth.
You are already worthy.
Even when you are still.
Especially when you are still.
There's a wind moving gently now.
Not disruptive.
Not cold,
But comforting.
It moves like a memory.
Wrapping itself through your hair.
Across your cheeks and into your lungs.
It feels like something you once knew.
Peace.
Can you feel how deeply you are supported?
By this cloud,
By the earth.
By the stillness within you that never left.
You don't need to chase your peace.
It's already here.
You don't need to earn your rest.
Because it's already yours.
This place,
This mountain top,
Above the clouds,
This hush in the sky.
It is always here.
A place within you that waits patiently until you return.
So come back to it often.
Return when the world tells you that you must hurry.
Return when the day feels too loud.
Return when you forget that it's okay to stop.
You will always find yourself here.
Not as someone broken or behind.
But as someone becoming.
Stillness is not to be feared.
It is where your truth lies.
It is where your healing begins.
It is where you are reminded of the deepest,
Softest truth of all.
That you are already whole.
Already enough.
And you are already home.
So breathe again,
Your way.
Let the sky hold you.
Let the moon light you.
Let the cloud love you.
Let everything else go.
There is nothing more to be.
There is nothing more to do.
You are here.
And that is everything.
And that everything is for you.
Stay a while longer in the stillness and silence.
And when you are ready.
Only when you are truly ready.
Return gently.
Knowing that this stillness lives inside you.
Always.
